I just went through the video and caught that. I really liked how natural it looked.

You say that like the 2K camera is new. It's not.

Eh, still reserving judgment. Looks ok so far. The wade missed alley isn't very realistic though. Also kobe's missed dunk was kind of questionable. I don't have a problem with him missing dunks, but he shouldn't of been trying to dunk like that in the first place. He doesn't do that as much anymore, when will 2k learn that? I'd rather see him doing simple 2 hand dunks around traffic, and OCCASIONALLY throwing down a hard nasty dunk. So far the game looks decent though. I also wish it was a sim head playing as well.

The 2k camera is ugly to me. Broadcast view makes it look like a whole different game...much better looking and reminds me of real life basketball.

Really don't like how Wade just causes both Kobe and Nash to slide out of the way on the drive at 10:26. Looks a lot like the Manu sliding we saw in the first gameplay video. I thought that was fixed already but we're seeing something similar here.

Also some of the passing animations look a bit jerky. Like they don't take into account what the players were doing or how they were moving previously. And like others have mentioned, the passing animation often doesn't match the speed of the pass or the distance of the pass. It'd also be nice if the close passing animation actually looked like they were trying to wrap around defenders if they're close or in the way.

Game looks ALOT better than 2k12 so I can't knock it too much.

Its a video game..everything is not going to look 100% realistic..especially when non-nba players are controlling them. I expect a few unrealistic moments in videogames...overall the game looks great and I think it will be the best b ball game ever as far as the balance of realistic and fun. The controls alone will make this game a blast if it is good as it looks.

I am continually baffled by people who take offence to people merely pointing out what they don't like about the game. It wasn't nickpicking. It was a mere description of things that stood out to me. Trust me, if I was nitpicking, my post would be much longer.

Can you actually dispute any of the things I have pointed out or are you just a guy who's excited for a new car he's about to buy and attacking anyone who's pointing obvious flaws in it?

I don't think anyone expects a video game to be 100% realistic but I don't think it's nitpicking to expect the game to be realistic as it can be on the system it is currently on, and with the few problems I have noted (which fixing wouldn't require power beyond the current-gen systems) to be fixed.

Game looks great to me. I was slightly disappointed in some of the collision animations, but the dribbling looks really awesome and it seems like the FG%s are actually pretty realistic, which is normally not the case on default sliders. Can't wait baby!

People still think that game is fun? That's a surprise.

Well Optik....to me It doesn't look that bad at all....to answer to your question:

>Passing is worse than in the gamescon videos, looks exactly like 2K12, still too much floating passing, >unrealistic passing motion, you don't see any wrist-snapping.
I've played 2k12 a lot.....passing seems improved, there are less floaty pass than 2k12. Also manual bounce pass is a must for me. They assigned one engineer just for this aspect of the game...can't be worse than 2k12. Let's wait the DEMO at least....I'm sure retail 2k13 passing will be awesome.

>Battier doesn't shoot like that, 2K when are you going to get it right?
You can assign a new sig shot but I'm sure you know that ^^

Regards

It looks EXACTLY the same! i hope there is a lot of added features this year... Them extra baggy uniforms has to be fixed. Just have a tight fit and a loose fit option like PES 11/12/13 has. because of this problem a tall skinny player like Kevin Durant looks way overweight and nothing like himself.

Thats how you can tell who are just the video gamers & not real fans of the sport. These people are NBA video gamers and probly perfer to only dedicate themselves to watching a video game NBA basketball game then watching the real thing.

The broadcast cam is what i see & experience while watching a real basketball game, so why in the blue hell would i want anything less than what i see on TV.....broadcast cam has been here since the beginning, never disrespect the hand that feeds you

I swear man, now i see why this game is getting hurt

I was just playing NBA 2K12. That Lakers @ Heat gameplay doesn't look like NBA 2K12 beyond the graphics.

While I agree and pushed for the change waaaaay back when in terms of authenticity, your first comment is extremely short-sighted.

So I guess anyone who played the football games in a vertical view, be it NFL 2k or Madden, were not fans of the sport? What about hockey?

Please think about this a bit more before you make claims.

How about the people who would rather go to a gym and actually play instead of watching it on tv?? IMO 2k cam makes me feel like im on the court, broadcast makes me feel more like a spectator.

Lol, what a ridiculous statement. Some of us prefer that view because (as the person above me stated) it more replicates how we'd see the court while actually playing.

Based on your rationalization, I could just as easily say that you're merely a fan of the sport, and someone who has never played, since you prefer the broadcast cam.

My guess is that's probably not true, which should help point out just how wrong you generalization was.

Not only football games but hockey does the same as well. Baseball usually goes half accurate with the pitching camera and for batters they give you a camera angle that is beneficial to the user.

Wow. I was waiting for someone else to bring it up at some point. LeBron attacked the glass, was fouls and in heavy traffic in MIDAIR, and still got the ball to the rim. In 2K12 that layup dies in someone's chest or someone psychically knew where the ball was going and LeBron swung the ball into their waiting hand for a block and no foul.

That got me most hyped of all. Even though he missed it.

steve nash is too big....looks un smooth....ppl playing are really bad, dont understand basketball...so i cant take a view based on what I see cuz the low level of basketball infuriates me. excited about getting the game and hitting the practice mode and seeing how the game works.

To me this was a person with knowledge of the game at least from a controls standpoint as they were playing pretty good on ball defense for the most part and performed a few advanced moves. My opinion is they were trying to show us the dribbling. They probably were lucky to make most of the shots they made. What made the user gameplay look worse was plays were on auto but they were pretty much playing iso ball between LeBron and Wade. I saw one play actually ran and that was the post to LeBron with the fadeaway. Playing with plays on and not running them is just a setup to see bad gameplay. Or maybe they didn't want to release playbook details so that is why they didn't turn the plays on. I wish they just used a normal Broadcast so you can see the spacing this looked like Beluba's cam
