Without question that was the smoothest, most organic looking 2k hoops title I have seen to date. Damn!.
5:50-bounce pass from Nash to KB
8:00-errant pass from LJ leading to LA fast break and blown dunk by KB

Kobe's jumper looked so freaking fluid!

Great subtle animations - D.HO falling down and slowly getting back on D
LJ making the shot after contact and complaining to refs

Wade at the 10:15 mark trying to Snake to the rim gave me heat cheeser flashbacks but he did miss the shot...

Can't wait to play this game

Am I the only one who thinks the demos videos from E3 look way better that this video? Cause they really do look better than this video IMO!

Can already tell that the tendencies out of the box will be out of wack.

Looks good! But I D-Howard wasn't D-Howard, unless I missed him being D-Howard.

Is there a reason why Miami's mascot has been missing from the past few games? He was present in 2k9 I think....

I think it's safe to say this engine and version of consoles have run their coarse, I think after watching this vid over and over, yea it might be a fun game but then I ask my self will I have more fun than I do with 2k8, I don't think I should have to ask that question to myself this far down the road. At the core of the game the same things that bothered me years ago seem to still be there, they have just added a little more paint to the same old barn. Maybe after the demo I will change my mind, but I doubt it.

i just hope the floaters are not easy to block like on 2k12.

What does that even mean?

Even if you didn't get blocked, your chances of hitting a floater in 2k12 were basically like shooting a 3pt shot with Dwight. I think I made 1 in 10283012983 hours of playing 2k12

I just noticed that in the very first posession of the game, Howard was in the post calling for the ball at least 4 different times. He even moved from one side of the post to the other but Nash didn't recognize Howard flashing for the ball.

CPU point guard AI is messed up for LA. Not good.

Really. I made a lot with Jeremy Lin and players like Chris Paul, Kobe, d wade, tony Parker. When I did with players that actually do it it went in a lot for me

Looks great, can't wait to buy!!!

Things I like:
-Passing animations look faster. Handoffs didn't go off of people's back. The pass types seem more situational appropriate. Have to play it to know for sure, of course.
-Defensive contact looks nice and it actually looks fun to play D.
-Looks fun to drive, too.
-Blown dunks.
-CPU didn't try a lot of up-and-unders, but this might be on pro.
-CPU also shot earlier in the shot clock than in 2k12, especially when they were open from mid range.
-No dribbling off of people's feet! Thank you.
-Spacing: Heat players are not getting in front of Wade and Lebron when they go iso. They are at the 3 spreading the defense, but the D is still looking to crowd Wade and Lebron on drives when appropriate. Even at 6:13 Wade was in the post, but then got out of the way when Lebron drove.

Stuff I didn't like:
-Gasol got an offensive board at 4:20 over a boxing out Battier. Then again, Gasol would probably get it in real life.
-Nash shot clock cheese? C'mon son.
-Lebron and Wade seem overpowered driving to the rim, but this is probably pro, and, well, they are Lebron and Wade.

Hmm, maybe that's because the CPU-controlled team shown (Lakers) has players with tendencies from their old teams (Howard, Nash and Jamison). No one knows how the Lakers offense will look, other then Mike Brown running the Princeton offense, or how much Kobe will handle the ball.

Solid video showing a lot good things, but it did bother me seeing Howard out on the perimeter so much. Hoping that is an issue that can be resolved without heavy editing (not likely).

Just something very small that's bothered me for I think three years now and has nothing to do with the actual game:

Those white-teed idiots wandering back and forth through the aisles and up and down the stairs appear to finally be gone.

Gonna have to agree with this one. I just didnt see him being active in tge post. The a i played really passive when it came to the post play.

# 237 Nodima @ 09/07/12 09:34 PM
Someone else complained about Gasol beating out Battier for a rebound, but that seems pretty realistic to me. Gasol goes over the back for boards pretty often, and he's a great rebounder anyway. You can't ask Battier, a guy playing out of his position and giving up half a foot in wingspan to Gasol, to win every rebound battle with Gasol just because he's boxed him out.

Omg that Wade move at 10:27 scares me. I hope you cant break off animations like that in the final version that looked extra cheesy and bad...at least he missed it.

As long as users get punished for forcing it with fatigued players, I'm fine. Wade is athletic enough to get those type of shots off.

He wasn't trying to post up when he had the ball, took a mid-range jumper, then faked a mid-range...again wasn't trying to post up..etc. etc.. I didn't think he was that big of a factor on defense either. D-Howard is more active in real-life. Maybe his tendencies weren't accurate, at least in that video. Or maybe LA signed him to set picks for Kobe.
