The driving animations and contact in the paint and on drives is awesome! LeBron feels like LeBron now. He can outmuscle a Kevin Durant in different situations as well it should be, but it was balanced where Durant could still body up and stay with him if played correctly. I would see Durant getting knocked back at times, but not the other way around when facing each other. When LeBron would attack the rim you could feel his strength in getting to the hole. I saw some great animations with fouls that still ended up with players getting shots up. This was balanced well to as I did not see many, if any of them go in. You felt like LBJ when playing with him. There are also some great triple threat animations and bumping on the perimeter game between defender and ball handler before a dribble has been used. It is another risk/reward situation for a defender playing to close depending on skill and quickness of the player he is guarding.
Got a question. Can we pass out of any layups/contact layups this year? In 2K12 you cannot pass out of certain contact layup animations, wich hardly ever goes in btw, and that's pretty annoying. Like you want to fake the penetration layup to attract help defense on you to kick out to the perimeter, but then all of a sudden you can't because you got caught in an animation you can't pass out of.
I know what you mean and I do not know. Never tried it. That would be awesome though in a few certain types of drives with contact. Maybe have a cut off point as you wouldn't want to see this at the last second of contact would you? Maybe have a open and closed window to pass?
Vann -- Did y'all see the 'flop glitch'? Maybe it was just in the 'European build'?
What was the flop glitch? I had not seen it yet. Was it by cpu or user? We supposedly had same build as games com so I'm curious what you mean by this...

Definately something that recquires timing. In 2K11 there was no layup animations you coudn't pass out of.
physics are very important to me as well, because realistic physics forces gamers to earn their shots, rather than being able to ram into the paint and warp through people. there was a lot of lenient physics going on in 2k12 which bailed people out and allowed them to be reckless with their decisions. hopefully 2k13 doesn't baby people by letting them do all kinds of unrealistic junk in the paint...like ramming through a crowd without being stopped or called for a charge, or being able to dunk over players with almost no momentum before the jump. however, i am a bit worried after hearing how easy it was to pull of crazy alley oops at the team-up event.

The alley oop had been addressed since the build we played.
As far as physics, momentum, and unrealistic junk in the paint I think you will see a HUGE difference here from 12. It will never be perfect, but it was greatly improved!

Van, how about shot fakes, is it still a quick tap of the shot button/stick? Is it even in the demo?
vannwolfhawk - Did you see any hand-off passes? I haven't heard anyone talk about hand-offs. In 2K12, the receiver pauses momentarily when they get the ball, but they should still be in motion.
Thanks for taking the time out of your schedule to come visit with us and share your thoughts and opinions. It was a great day for us, and the feedback we got from all of the Team Up members will only serve to make NBA 2K13 a better game for everyone.

I saw 1 and it was beautiful. This was on my notes of things to address going in especially for the user to user dribble handoff animation. I agree it was really bad in the last game. Although the CPU to CPU was decent and good imo. It happened randomly though as there were no plays called in our build:-) I hope the 1 that I did see is a preview of things to come?! Regardless it was on the notes and seen by Rob.
Vannwolfhawk- wondering if you can answer me something. did you see the steal spam addressed? nothing upsets me more than people who can just spam the steal button with no foul calls. I hope they are called for spamming the steal this year.
NBA2k gets me in trouble every year, and this year it has already started. My girl was wondering what i was grinning about (''she says I was blushing'' ) while reading this post. She hops up off the couch to look at my laptop and said ''H*** no!! already, that's why your Lakers ain't gonna win s***!!'' LOL. she loves me though.
