I am not trying to sound like a whiner because i think the demo is fairly good at most aspects of the game but i still have a few nagging bugs that i found.

1. First is the Trucking rating. Brandon Jacobs trucking rating is like 97 and i have yet to see him run over or break a tackle by brushing off a defender in the 5 or 6 games that i have played thus far. In the past i have loved running the ball with him due to this and i have played on All-Pro and Pro with no change between them. This has got to get fixed.

2. Why is it a lot harder to user control and intercept passes down field? Not only does it delay the time it takes to switch from one defender to the next in the secondary, but it's like the jumping/intercepting mechanic is all screwed up. In 12 holding down triangle would start the player's animation to attempt to intercept an incoming pass. Now the defenders seem to just keep running through the play without even jumping while i am pressing triangle.

3. I don't know about anybody else, but on defense i use the user strip button on almost every tackle. Once again i have seen 1 maybe 2 animations showing where my defender is trying to strip the ball away from the ball carrier. I would usually force 1-2 fumbles every game online in 12. And i would at least force 4-5 strip animations whether the offense would fumble or not.

These will probably get fixed on or shortly after the game launches in a few weeks but it's something that really bothers me because i try to utilize them as much as possible. Is anybody else noticing these?

one thing i noticed that i dont like is with the new defensive alignment thing (which i hate) the cpu defense seems to get mixed up a lot and theyre out of position a lot of times especially if you audible within the formation.. i hope this is just somethin in the demo

Maybe I'm late with this, but I can't user pick at all on defense.
I like to play a ball hawking safety, and when I press Triangle on PS3 and the ball is in the air, nothing happens.

Has anybody got it to work?

The demo is tight. Colors are great. Playing on XBOX.

I just found a full review of the Madden demo. Definitely spot on about the arcade feel and the unrealistic tackles.

Who cares about blue colors? Whatever. Game will be tight.

I've had no problem snagging user picks.

im in an all madden game right now, RG3 is 9-24 for 144 yards 0tds 0ints. 9 drops from recievers. THIS HAS GOT TO BE FIXED. THE ONLY WAY EA CAN PUT UP A CHALLENEGE ON ALL MADDEN IS BY CHEATING AND HINDERING THE PLAYER!!!!!!

Infinity engine at work:

DE is being blocked to the inside, RB runs to the inside and runs square into a still-blocked DE. RB ends up on the ground.

Another: RB has a first down, it seems, only to trip over a fallen lineman and stumble, giving LBs time to tackle short of the first down.

The tackling in this demo is forearm shivers and shoulder charges.

My description does not due it justice.
ive had something similar to that and it was awesome!

Yeah, it's such a disconnect. In traffic, the contact created and the overall feel is more weighty, smooth, and dynamic. I really like the overall feel and have seen some nice moments. In the open field, however, or in one-on-one situations where guys run into each other, it's very goofy looking to say the least.

There are some seeming attempts at wrap tackles but it's like they don't have a chance to animate because the physics says "it's time to fall down now"...lol. I also don't like how it speeds up into the tackle rather than flowing from what is happening.

Often, it's like physics is competing with animations rather than working with them. Hopefully it can be tuned better for retail (via patch, tuner update, etc)

SS blitzes, RB shifts to pick him up, goes low on the block, SS loses balance leans forward (still has his lower Half tangled up with the RB) and touches face masks with the QB. Both the SS and QB end up on the backs.

Yeah iwas even gonna mention that. Inside the tackles it's good, outside the tackles.....not so much.

Gotta say, I am happy with the Demo! Infinity Engine, DB/WR Interactions, no Super LB's all a plus!

I just had a strange play. I was controlling Washington and I punted the ball. Seattle signaled for a fair catch so I, controlling the gunner, moved out of the way to avoid touching the returner. The Seahawks PR caught the ball and took off running up field to where my player would have been. After a long return, I made the tackle and Seattle was given the ball at the spot of the tackle. In addition, Nantz and Simms started talking about how the Seahawks muffed the punt, but recovered it.

If this is the wrong place to post bugs, I apologize.

I'm really liking the demo so far. No complaints at all. Love the commentary, game looks great, crowd finally sounds alive, new engine makes the game feel much smoother. I can honestly say if this demo was the final product, I'd be pretty darn happy.

One minor thing I hope they fixed for the retail version if during the halftime highlights, you'll see defensive players line up on the offensive line against the same team. Ex: I am the Giants, and I saw Eli going under center with Terrell Thomas as his center, and JPP facing him on the other side.

Commentary could use some minor tweaks. Like mentioning the wrong play happening once or twice, but other than that, really liking the fluency between Nance and Simms.

the ONLY bad part about this demo and madden 13 overall is the fact that i will NEVER play NCAA football 13 ever again ...i had a feeling when i preordered it that i was wasting 45 dollars but i needed a "new" football fix....oh well it gets traded in for either nba2k13 or COD Black Ops 2....lol

You know how a linebacker will blitz and get a great jump and just as the QB hands off the ball to the RB The linebacker is there to meet him. Well i was on offense took the snap handed off to the RB. Linebacker nails him and is kinda hanging on him for a bit than falls off. The Rb stumbles backwards from the hit is stumbling but stays on his feet, recovers and goes back up field. It was onyl a 4 yard gain but it looked great.

Also the sideline catches are great as well. The WR's dont just get sucked out of bounce they actually catch the ball and go upfield. Or stretch out to make the catch and keep their toes in bounce.

I don't know if its just me, but i played on all pro, and Nicks burns Rogers every time. Even if i focus on Nicks.
