You know what Rece Davis reminds me of in this? Jon Gruden.
But instead of "this guy" and "that guy" it is "this team" and "that team." Either way, both virtual Rece Davis and real life Jon Gruden sound like horribly canned soundtracks.

I think it will be okay once the game drops, but I could see people following that jet WR on purpose an awful lot. I wondered if it could be done on purpose to create sort of a veer look but since the only unblocked player is that playside DE, not really. It'll be a play I keep an eye on though. My first thought after I did it accidentally was "I should put a blocking TE at the jet position and let him lead block for me."
NCAA 13's graphics for PS3 look like they came straight out of the PS2.
Well after a bit of more time with it... my gripes still stand with the visuals..don't like it nor do the grass looks good..its nasty but with that being said the actual game play seems to be fairly good ..i mean its fun in some ways but i hate the camera being up so high..man just lower it or give us custom cam for goodness sakes.
I had a few good games that were fun though... i dont get into all the technical side of things when it comes to X's and O's because that i can usually live with by adjusting sliders, etc and i know inside that no game no matter how sophisticated the hardware will ever be wont be close to the real deal..we are just so far off from that and like i said..sliders usually allows me to get the gaming working, AI tuned to the point where im satisfied for the most part.
I really would love to see some improvements for running the ball though..tapping the button would help greatly for running the ball and accelerating instead of simply holding down a button for acceleration..remember NFL2k5 and how fun it was to run teh ball? Well that is why..they gave us the ability to quickly tap the button to run faster..going through opened holes while quickly tapping the button felt so right. At least give us this as a option..so some can turn it on or off as their personal preference..it does not have to be a mandatory feature but i know many would want it.
Overall its a decent game..i dont care for the grass ..looks butt ugly as well as some other things visually and i probably wont be buying this seeing how nice madden is looking this year...

I took some time last night to watch one of EA's webcasts where they previewed what they did to this year's game and aside from the much improved passing game, the scrolling scores on the bottom of the screen and the studio updates the demo does not match up to what they promoted in those webcasts. Case in point - in the "sights and sounds" webcast they promoted "a richer, louder, more robust and realistic crowd" in NCAA 13. Going by the demo, did they deliver on that?
This is what makes me afraid that we are going to be hoping for the best and reliving last year. I really hope not as I love this series but the demo does not inspire confidence.

Can anyone confirm what the game speed was set at on the demo?

i'm having a heck of a time adjusting to the new passing trajectories. last year, i'd pretty much just bullet everything due to the fact that it didn't really matter. now i find myself doing the same thing with the demo and having to re-learn how to play. it's frustrating, but i'll get it.

For everyone complaining about the ps3 graphics, are you playing on an HDTV and have the black levels and other display settings correct? I am playing on a 42" LCD TV and my graphics look really good. No jaggies (keep in mind, the closer you sit to the tv, the more jaggies you will see), good colors, smooth gameplay (no stutters like some of you have said, and I have been playing a lot since it came out)

I like it a lot, it plays like a really good NCAA game, the new passing is nice. The animations seems relatively crisp but I can't help but get an empty feeling while I played it. I've played this all before. I've heard these announcers, I've ran all of these plays. I just don't feel anything different from this years game other than the ESPN integration. That's fine and all but we've had little to no changes since around 2007.
I'm on the fence about purchasing and some of my online dynasty's and lack of interest in Madden/NFL will probably make me buy it, but it just feels like a roster update with ESPN Integration. Nothing feels too different.
Also I really don't like the option pitch getting moved to the front bumper. I'll get use to it but it seems out of place and more difficult there.
