If this is the way they decided to "fix" the passing game it just comes off half-assed to me. They basically just tied the receiver to the ball placement instead of letting receivers dynamically adjust to where you place the ball. The reciever should have the ai to decide if he can jump for the ball instead of adjusting his route all the time. I'm not feeling that at all. The ball placement should not alter a receivers route they way it does this year. I had a feeling this would be a problem. That is the one thing I liked about 12 is how you could throw the ball high or low. Guess It'll be back next year, smh.

This has me the most excited about the game. Finally able to drop those dimes over a defenders head.

I will wait until I read some reviews on OS before thinking about picking the game up. I guess I expected more. The weight not mattering is problematic because it really doesnt matter if you put a wr at center he can still play effectively. Thats a hugh problem. You should be able to tell if your playing against a 5 star behemoth Left tackle like jake long as opposed to playing against a 5-10 200lb tackle. Recruiting OLinemen still wont matter.

Also, the ESPN Bottomline ticker won't be flashing score alerts every few seconds like they do on the demo. These will also be more spread out once you are playing on longer quarter times, so it won't be so distracting (some people have mentioned this as a worry for them).
wooo ok thanks for clearing that up. makes me happy to know that. i really do dig the studio updates so with that combined with the game track updates will make this a ton better for me since i'm a huge presentation guru haha.

Ratings other than speed, unfortunately have never mattered in ncaa. There is no point in recruiting a LB who can bench a lot but may not be fast. His strength will not correlate to shed blocking etc. Its pointless.

I guess I must not have as high of expectations as everyone else....

I first played the dynasty on the demo.... LOVED IT!!! Is it close to last years game? Yes. Are there new animations? YES!!!! I saw close to 30 new animations in the first half alone.

I don't know why a lot of people seem to be annoyed with the in-game updates... I really feel like it's a Saturday afternoon/evening and there is a lot of activity going on. Will it get old? Possibly eventually due to the repetitive commentary, but I really really enjoy the addition of it!

The game plays really smooth.... the option-read works this year!! (maybe a little too well... but I'm sure there can be tweaks)

The new Heisman mode is interesting... might not be something that I'll get hooked on but it would be fun to take one of those guys and put them on a terrible team and see if they can make a difference.

Anyways... just wanted to give my opinion. I think all the haters out there need to take just a little breath and appreciate it for what it is.

I will definitely buy it first day and enjoy the new game.

It definitely looks atrocious. It seems to be a PS3 only issue, as I haven't seen any SS or vids of the 360 look as bad. Also, some members that play on the PS3 have raised this concern. I'm hoping it's only an issue with the demo and doesn't translate to the final product.

It would totally make my day if a writer for OS just shot an email to one of the NCAA devs they've been cooresponding with and say "Hey, check out the complaints of the PS3 version graphics. There seems to be a large discrepancy between the 360 and PS3 versions of the demo. Is this comparable to the final version or will the PS3 look more like the 360 version"

I really want to like the demo. I am a huge NCAA Football fan, but whats new? Some gameplay tweaks and new animations ....Is that the best you can do? Really EA?? Game looks exactly like NCAA 12. I can't figure out why some people are gushing over the demo.

Also excessive motion Blur and lame TD celebrations......

Absolutely - they went overboard on the motion blur. Hopefully they dial it down for the official release.

I hear you, but they did do a great job with the passing game. Everything that they promised in the preview is there in the demo in that department. That said, it just feels like they could have done more given how bad '12 was. I'm disappointed with the crowd noise that they claimed to have upgraded by bringing in the guy(s) from FIFA.....it is too subdued even though they added some nice new reactions to specific plays.

I'm definitely not gushing over the demo - it has made me more worried about pre-ordering '13. I'm figuring that the issues that many have brought up with the demo will either be fixed or not there with the final release but EA, of late, does not have a solid track record. I hope they get this game right this year but '12 and their patches that broke features left a real sour taste in my mouth.

The more im playing, the more im not seeing whats so great. I'm really struggling to complete passes here. I've got an open TE, with about 5-8 yards past the MLB in a zone, so i lob the pass to get it over the mlb to my TE, then all of a sudden the safety just runs from forever away and jumps in front of my TE who just keeps running cluelessly as the D gets the INT... so frustrating watching the D be so aggressive for the ball, and the WR's so passive, like they dont even care.

Any ideas here anyone?

Yesterday when I was playing, i thought the graphics looked really poor on my 360... today... it looks a thousand times better. really confused by that!

Ill prob end up breaking down and buying it. But it feels like they put less and less in each year. New passing stuff is great. BUT what about OL/DL play?? What about adding some new RB stuff?? it just doesnt feel like they had a lot of people on the development team this year. No one buys this game for the heisman stuff. Like I can play with Barry Sanders on K State??? Yeah I could do that with teambuilder for the last 2 years.................

I hate to make this a rant, but think about the stuff they have added in the past and what they are adding this year....

So because it's a challenge, it's not so great? Sounds to me like you telegraphed the play, so it's no suprise the safety made the play. The graphics issue is probably you needing to just spend some time away from the game.

It's fun and I like the new passing. But, with everything Madden is bringing to the table this year, I honestly don't know why anyone would buy NCAA this year. Demo serves as a preview of a couple new features in Madden and that's about it.
