i have the ps3 version so i haven't looked myself, but is Alabama's jersey still not crimson and the pinkish maroon they have had the last couple of years?
I enjoyed the new feel of passing in this demo. Also, RG3 is insanely good.
What difficulty is this on, anyone know?

I saw a lot of new catch animations by me and the CPU including a lovely interception off a tipped pass by the CPU.
The speed caught me off-guard because our OD normally plays on slow so at times it really felt like the game was in hyper-drive. I've also been playing 2K8 so that probably doesn't help but footplanting would help this series out so much. It's there (on option plays when you keep it with the QB you can see them plant when the cut up-field) but it just isn't consistent enough.
The animations are smoother this year and there were a lot of plays that were tweaked in the screen game to make sure that you're not fighting your own momentum.
I wish this wasn't on Varsity though. Passing has been improved but it's too easy on Varsity. I love the improvements to the crowd as they react in real-time.

Passing is vastly improved. Play action worked for the first time in a long time. I actually floated a ball over the defender for a reception. Really like that u have to wait for the receiver to look for the ball. Corners are not psychic. Animations are improved and the sound seems better. This game with the gameplay improvements along with new and improved game modes should be a touchdown! Very excited. Go Noles!
Offensively the game is solid for the human controlled team. The cpu defense is pretty solid as well. The game kind of falls apart when the cpu is on offense. Cpu offense isn't very smart and struggles to execute. And the human defense is hyper aware and reacts super quickly.
Cpu screen passes need to be tuned to where it is better timed. QB either has to throw the ball quicker or the line has to rush slower. Timing is off.
Cpu QB need to throw the ball away.
Cpu outside runs and options need to be blocked better. WR's must block. Tackles can't release the DE's as soon as the QB gets outside of them on options. Linebackers are never blocked, never get caught in the wash and just overall react way too fast. This entire interaction needs to be synced up better.
Cpu runs the ball pretty well out of pro sets especially in hurry up or in passing situations as long as the runs are inside or between the tackles.
Offensive guards need to be a little more stout in pass protection. DT's need to be toned down a bit. OT's need to get beat more to the outside but, overall tackles vs ends seems okay (We know what we're working with).
Cpu runners have to be more dynamic. Must use more special moves.

I'm not getting the same results some of these guys are getting and i don't even play on offense i've spent about 4 games just playing against the CPU offense.
When i rent the game i'm going to leave it on the default level and drop the speed down to slow. This is where I think the passing game will truly shine and feel realistic. Modify some human sliders along with the gameplans set to conservative and that should open up the CPU offense.
Right now without sliders i can't tolerate it (Demo) anymore.
Just played with USC for the first time. O.M.G. Having Barkley back there is like having Jesus at QB. With Woods on the outside...wow. Now I see why people enjoy the West Coast offense. With Superior athletes it is like clock work.

Why does everyone wanna blame this on Haumiller? Cam Weber said it was his call so I don't get it.

Btw, this isn't the first time they've released a demo this early. They released the demo for 08 or 09 at E3 as well, and usually give us a demo a week or two from now.

On fence. Improvements are evident in the passing game as it feels great. Game is more refined and audio sounds much better, but it is still missing something to me. Getting tired of the same cuts/ overlays we have seen for years now. Cpu offense still lacking depending on what level this demo is on. To say nothing has been done to improve the game is wrong, but with what Madden has done, I can't help to be underwhelmed. Think i say it every year, but this is the game we should have had last year. Will wait to pick this up a week or so for first time in years if it pans out or may just hold out.

1st time playing right now, and I'm actually enjoying it. But I would had gave NCAA Team SOOOOOOOOO much credit if they would had added his celebrations after a big play when playing as RGIII in Hesiman mode.

I like a lot about this game.
The demo has put me back on the fence. My only two problems are:
-visually the game looks exactly like 12 minus a few lighting changes.
-Too many of the same animations.
I honestly feel like this is what 12 should have been in the first place. The $45 price tag is now valid but I still can't say I will pay that much for an incremental update. Especially when Madden has improved substantially.
