Passing is vastly improved. Play action worked for the first time in a long time. I actually floated a ball over the defender for a reception. Really like that u have to wait for the receiver to look for the ball. Corners are not psychic. Animations are improved and the sound seems better. This game with the gameplay improvements along with new and improved game modes should be a touchdown! Very excited. Go Noles!

Re: NCAA Football 13 Demo Is Out, Post Your Impressions Here

Offensively the game is solid for the human controlled team. The cpu defense is pretty solid as well. The game kind of falls apart when the cpu is on offense. Cpu offense isn't very smart and struggles to execute. And the human defense is hyper aware and reacts super quickly.

Cpu screen passes need to be tuned to where it is better timed. QB either has to throw the ball quicker or the line has to rush slower. Timing is off.

Cpu QB need to throw the ball away.

Cpu outside runs and options need to be blocked better. WR's must block. Tackles can't release the DE's as soon as the QB gets outside of them on options. Linebackers are never blocked, never get caught in the wash and just overall react way too fast. This entire interaction needs to be synced up better.

Cpu runs the ball pretty well out of pro sets especially in hurry up or in passing situations as long as the runs are inside or between the tackles.

Offensive guards need to be a little more stout in pass protection. DT's need to be toned down a bit. OT's need to get beat more to the outside but, overall tackles vs ends seems okay (We know what we're working with).

Cpu runners have to be more dynamic. Must use more special moves.

I like the smoothness and i like the passing game on this level which is most likely set to Varsity.

I'm not getting the same results some of these guys are getting and i don't even play on offense i've spent about 4 games just playing against the CPU offense.

When i rent the game i'm going to leave it on the default level and drop the speed down to slow. This is where I think the passing game will truly shine and feel realistic. Modify some human sliders along with the gameplans set to conservative and that should open up the CPU offense.

Right now without sliders i can't tolerate it (Demo) anymore.

Just played with USC for the first time. O.M.G. Having Barkley back there is like having Jesus at QB. With Woods on the outside...wow. Now I see why people enjoy the West Coast offense. With Superior athletes it is like clock work.

Why does everyone wanna blame this on Haumiller? Cam Weber said it was his call so I don't get it.

The demo build is probably at least a month old, if not more. The game is probably ready to go gold, so I doubt there's much they could change, if at all. Everything now is QA and polish.

Btw, this isn't the first time they've released a demo this early. They released the demo for 08 or 09 at E3 as well, and usually give us a demo a week or two from now.

In the pre-game daylight against LSU they look much better. But the lighting during night games isn't working properly, so they look much darker once the night kicks in.
