It's just so beautiful. I haven't scored on a post route in a while. PA pass with not a single person even near the receiver.
Here's some of my impressions:
I played USC/Oregon as Oregon.
Presentation:
The intro for the game looked the same, but I noticed subtle nuances. Seems the camera angle on the Tom Brady huddle was different. Coach and player voices were a cool addition. I liked Rece for the stretch. Crowd sounded good.
Doesn't matter because I always skip the intros.
Colors looked excellent. I don't know who is saying they looked washed out and faded because they look 100x better then 12. I popped 12 in after and USC's homes are dull. The ones in 13 look...correct. :what:
The crowd sounded good. When I threw a touchdown pass to my TE, they made an "awwww" sound which was cool to hear.
Game play: passing is on point. Couple passes I made that really stood out:
- Flanker was on a comeback route. When I pressed down on the stick and X, the WR didn't fall like in 12. He reached down for the ball and was able to make a move.
- FB was out in the flats looking left. I threw the ball press right on the stick and my fullback TURNED HIS HEAD AND LOOKED LEFT for the pass. I don't know if I've ever seen that in a game.
- I threw a pass to my Flanker who was cutting across the middle. I lofted the pass over the LB's head and completed the pass. The funny thing is that I gasped because I was anticipating him to jump like Lebron and pick the pass off. Instead it floated over him for a first down.
I was on the fence after the lack of updates yesterday but I enjoyed that game.
I can't wait to get balls deep in this demo.

Certainly good to see the super LB's being truly gone. I like how passing feels. It's not a huge improvement but I can see it being decent fun.
Looks like dirty unis are still not working very properly. White jerseys still look like they're fresh out of the wash at the end of the game.

I'm impressed so far...but one thing I noticed. I'm a stadium guy and I noticed when I was playing Alabama/LSU: The LSU HD screen is no longer in their stadium. It is their old video screen from several years ago. Why did they take that out of LSU's stadium on this game?

I also saw numerous situations on those type of routes where the LB's would run stride for stride with the slot WR. I'm not saying it should never happen, but not MOST OF THE TIME.
Besides that really, I like the game so far. Yea it's a demo, but I still like what I see, considering all the hate we had yesterday.
Can't tell if I'm in the minority for sure, but I really dig the demo. My only real complaint is not being able to adjust the speed after I've been playing almost daily on NCAA 2012 with slow speed.
The new passing system is really fantastic though it may lead to me throwing a bit more to my tight ends and slot receivers who are covered by linebackers than I generally like to.
Defense seems amped up and in 3 games the CPU hasn't dropped an interception on me yet. They're a perfect 8 of 8.
Defensive Tackles are still getting through pretty regularly (though I have been holding the ball a little longer than I should as a result of the speed).
Have never used any of the teams on the demo before outside of Alabama on last year's, but am noticing a few new offensive plays scattered around the playbook that I hadn't seen before.
Love the new defensive formations - can never have enough of them.
Seems that the aggressive force fumble option has been tuned a little. Even though I can still force a ton of fumbles it leads to a crazy amount of missed tackles. I hardly ever missed tackles with it on NCAA 12.
Seem a few diving catches, but all have been in routes that I pressed the throw button too hard for. Now defensive players have been diving all over the field - including my defensive end intercepting a dropped screen pass.
I love the game breaks - while playing as Baylor vs. K-State the game break showed TCU thumping WVU and Rece mentioned that Baylor was hoping TCU could hold on.
I really like the flow of defense vs. offense - but I also did in last year's demo only to feel the game was slanted heavily in favor of the offense once the actual game dropped. All the problems we discussed before (super penetrating DT's, super jump LB's, over powered aggressive "force fumble" game plan, ect), seemed to be there to offset the offensive onslaught.
I think the player models look a LOT better, and I'm not noticing the "washing" of the colors that most people are seeing.
Offensive line play seems to be largely the same.

I gotta say, Oline pulling logic seems to have improved a lot. I have seen them kick out guys on toss and, if they do not find any one to block, I have seen them continue to climb to the second level and wreak a FS. Also, seeing some great down field blocking by my WRs. Had a long td run set up by a perfect block from my WR.

I just played a Heisman game and USC v Oregon
Player movement is much better
The game looks a little better
The touch passing is nice. I threw a pass on a corner route that couldn't be done before.
Jukes and Spins actually work
Play action has a chance of working
I'm not very good without my custom playbooks.
Run blocking feels pretty good
I didn't notice pressure only being in my face.
If you get the defender to turn his hips you got em (true to life)

Real quick...I know I am posting a lot in this thread...hitch routes actually work. This is great.

On the other hand, if you're using a PS3: it's not out until tomorrow.

Gameplay was great. Commentating terrible - saying that I needed to change the gameplan when I called a timeout when the clock went down. Reece said some of the same things too many times. Crowd sounded like it does on tv which I think was their goal. Ticker was excellent, got caught looking at the score alert when I was dropping back for a pass. Love the new passing but it takes some practice and is sensitive if you go too far in one direction but that was nice and accurate. I think ill buy it and mute the commentary. Pretty much like 12.5 repairing the bugs but next years could be magnificent.
