Every screen play for the CPU is either an incompletion or a sack.
Alot of improvements here. The audio, especially the crowd (HUGE IMPROVEMENT) is better. Graphics well.....yeah they are bettter in subtle ways but overall I did like the new graphics. I still regularly play NCAA 12 and this game's gameplay is worlds better than 12. The passing is great and it just feels like a tough game now and the routes all matter, not just the money crossing patterns. You truly have to take what the defense gives you. Heisman mode is actually kinda cool but I doubt I will play it much. And I LOVE the studio updates and the new presentation, very well done IMO.
I was not sure if I was going to get this game after the RTP announcement for Madden but I had already pre-ordered it. I think EA put this demo out there because alot of us had the same opinion. This shows me that they had alot of confidence in this game and for me, the demo convinced me to go ahead and buy it. Day one still for me.

I was reluctant to praise this game after I started a Oregon/USC game that started like this
Oregon fumbles on the kick off return, USC recovers
Barkley completes a HB screen to his HB, HB gets stripped, OL recovers the ball for USC
Barkley gets sack/stripped for a loss of 8 yards, OL recovers the ball for USC
Barkley gets sacked and fumbles for another loss of 8 yards and the OL recovers again.
I get a first down and then punt the ball after I stall out.
Barkley throws a pick.
BUT I will say, after I turned down some of the game plans to conservative I saw better game play. That start was nuts, but I guess it's default settings for you. Option plays for Oregon felt really nice, kind of odd moving the pitch button and the LB passing button to RB but I got used to it after 3 games.
I went and played Kansas State/Baylor which ended up a blow out. Passing felt real nice, there was a couple attempts where I tried to squeeze a slant over a defenders shoulder and it'd hit them in the back. Really nice to see. You still have to be very selective about your WR screens, any sort of man coverage will completely ignore most blocks.
LSU/Bama was real fun though, 10-7 in OT. Real nice grind it out game with a bit of everything. I'll probably end up buying NCAA 13, once you can get in a fiddle with the sliders I'm confident it'll be a lot of fun.

New Game Mode
Completely Overhauled Recruiting
Updated Presentation
New Animations
Improved Gameplay
Along with more. I think that compares to Madden.
(And I'll let the Mod Squad deal with the Haumiller insults)
Maybe a stupid question/comment but I would imagine this can't be the final build of this game over a month out. I might be wrong but after last year debacle EA may have released the demo so earlier to take advise and work out the glitches. Just a thought.

Guys it's a demo.
Ton more animations.
Less skating.
Fix sideline interacting.
No more balls off face mask.
Speed seems right.
Job well done. Think it could easily be better than Madden this year and it's beta RTP from what I'm hearing.

There were a lot of turnovers for me too, but otherwise its good so far. The players seem bigger, maybe it's just me, but i like that in a football game. That something I think Madden lacks.

My opinion?
Physics or no physics...this game is fun as hell.
REALLY nice crowd chant additions "LSU! LSU! LSU!"
Love the new catch animations and lead passing.
Like the motion blur.
Very very fun game.

I'm going to go on record right now and say LSU will end up being the most used team online.
WR #10 & RB #11 for LSU are insanely GOOD.
RB #11 runs straight through tackles. Weird considering he isn't trucking people, he is just pushing people to the side and out of his way.
WR #10 catches everything it seems. He is by far the most aggressive WR I seen on the game. Amazingly however when CPU controls LSU they barely throw the ball to him, even though he is their best WR on the team.
But yeah, it is real easy to score and score pretty damn fast with LSU. You either going to get a 70 yard TD bomb or a 70 yard TD run. Controlled by a human, LSU is deadly in NCAA 13.

I feel like my players are rocketing at times? Like I lose control over my lber or wr? Maybe it's just the speed burst and I need to stay off it.

I played as Oregon and I have to say, I really like this so far. Sure, there's no engine, but everything at least looked a lot better. Passing was great too.
i only played one game which was the Oregon-USC game and i had a lot of fun with everything. i also enjoyed watching the other games unfold around me as well and i also really liked the studio updates i just wish Nessler would have reacted better to them. but from that one game i played i'm going to enjoy the full version for sure.
