I just can't believe they won't say players or teams' names in the game. Like, as in I refuse to believe it.

This has to be incomplete commentary. I mean it sounds descent. Certainly better than last years debacle.

Like it was said before me, I'm not gonna judge the commentary yet. There is 82 hours of it. We heard about one minute.

im not impressed...sounded stale. It doesn't sound like it should. The dialogue is irrelevant if it dont sound right. Miss me with the its a early build stuff because people say that every year and we get a game looking just like these videos. Half done..... I had got excited and thought maybe i would buy my first madden in 4 years but i guess not.... Another year with no NFL football.... sighs

Hope you guys enjoy it.

Wow now that's how you record some commentary. Those guys are simply magical and their chemistry really carried into the game. Simply the best. My fav commentary team Of all time

Compare the Cowboys-Eagles intro to Giants-49ers (18:40) and Packers-Steelers (23:50) intro's and I think you'll see a difference. The two they showed during the live-stream were much more polished and I think a better idea of what we'll be getting out of the commentary.

All this alpha/beta/work in progress talk...

NBA2k12 is the standard of presentation:

I was just gonna post something similar to this. I don't think its fake, I just think its buggy and not finished. I am pretty sure you add chunks of commentary as you progress through the build of the game. It doesn't all go in at once. There are still probably glitches and lines play when they shouldn't

BUT....This is not an excuse. If in fact this was a promotional video released by EA then they shot themselves in the foot once again. You would think, at some point, they would learn not to give the community ammo, because some members are carrying howitzers.

Yah, noticed this too. Pretty embarrassing.

I don't know man. I mean I'm not trying to stick up for EA here. (haven't bought Madden since 10) but to not even say players names or the teams? and this is with 82 hours of commentary. I just refuse to believe it.

If I am wrong then I will be the first to admit it and let EA know what I think about it.

So, we didn't we get the complete audio today for over 1 hr presentation? No crowd chants, no crowd swells, nada?

Chase said afterwards they didn't show any game play for an obvious reason. June 4th.

June 4th the whole enchilada better be laid out, though.

I just feel we haven't been privy to see what's all behind door number 1.

We'll see.

How do the guys at Tiburon react when they see this stuff? Do they scratch their head? Does it let them know they have a lot of catching up to do? Do they get discouraged? I'm asking seriously. That's just LIGHT YEARS beyond what we have with Madden.
I own 2k12, it's a great game, some even feel 11 was better. Love the commentary, but with any commentary, it does get repetitive game after game using your team. I just tend to block it out.

We hardly got anything today that we didn't already know about. The only thing that was really new was the Madden theme and exclusion of EA Trax. I figured it being the Audio playbook we would get some serious looks at Nantz-Simms commentary. It's obvious they want to show as little gameplay as possible until June 4th and it would be kind of hard to have an extensive commentary preview with the inability to showcase gameplay.

Bingo, I agree completely.

Yep, all the above, but the repetitiveness does get to me, so, to each their own on that.

It's not like I can press the A button and filter through it, lol.

I have a gut feeling that is the way Nantz-Sims will be, too. Recording them together was huge and they've worked together for 8 yrs plus, 99% of the commentary is ad-libed,

Just need to hear it in more action and game play.

Man, I did not like the fact they controlled the DE and the Olinemen blocking him never touched them on any of those sacks, they just moved a yard or 2 around the linemen and B lined right to the QB.

Im not liking that one bit, game looks like madden to me, may be fun but I will just keep it at league play!

# 95 AndrewAD3 @ 05/15/12 01:19 AM
I really can't judge by the small gameplay so I will just wait until E3 to see if this will be a day one buy for me.

I agree. Repetitive bothers me only a little tiny bit. In madden 12 the commentary doesn't even match the action on the field. After I march down the field and score on a play action pass to the full back in the flats all alone, Guss says something about going for an interception and that leading to the score and him and Chris go on some rant about safeties playing with aggressive corners. It's nice audio, but it has ZERO context. It also appears to happen whenever my first score of the game is a passing TD regardless of how it happened. My guy could be wide open, doesn't matter.

Chris talks about how [insert QB] is sort of a streaky passer... even Brady, Manning, Rodgers, and Brees. There are so many examples of poorly edited and poorly chose commentary that I find myself turning it off and occasionally turning on the GameFlow coordinator audio to hear something.

I honestly don't see Madden 12 being that interestign to listen to after two or three games, and that's sad. In fact, I expect to hear at least 5 out of context mistakes and at least 3 things repeated before I finish one game of M13 if/when I get it.

Which NBA video? Just curious.

loving the commentary

So, the embargo on audio has been lifted. Why then are the game changers not chipping in to defend the audio in this clip? Why all the hype for this, any answers?
