The NBA 2K12 demo is available now for the 360. Later today for the PS3.

Scroll to the "N" section to find it. It's 1.1 GB.

Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks (Can only play as the Mavs)
Difficulty set to default/casual
No commentary
1 - 4 Minute Quarter
Can't run plays
No sliders, options, camera views, etc.
Free throw bug, after 3 second violation, is demo bug only.

Edit: And for the record, still think the help defense is god awful in this demo. I have to pretty much control Kidd the entire game or he'll just completely abandon Mario Chalmers on every play. Same thing is happening with whoever is matched up on Chris Bosh.

Yeah I've been draining them with Dirk. It's all basket relative, so just spin the shot stick back over the shoulder of your ball hand depending on what direction you're moving.

This is probably the worst demo 2K has put out there. Talk about bare bones, you can't even select the other team? Ridiculous.

I like the collisions, post game and shot adjustments after contact. Gameplay overall feels much better in the repeated 4 minute sequences I get with it, but the demo is another level of terrible this year.

I played two games and alot of the crappy locomotion issues seem to be largely addressed so i'm pleased.

Yes hop step is done that way but if hes talking about the gathers those are removed.

I hope the Xbox Live Gold exclusivity is only a week long like last year. I don't feel like taking over my brother's TV just to play the demo.

I'm hoping the PS3 version is up to par. I'll be looking out for all of the sideline crews and camera men to be there this year. Fingers crossed.

I'm going to need a cheat sheet for a while. there is just so much going on. An absurd amount of moves at your disposal.

I still don't understand how the AI is doing half of these moves that LeBron and Wade are doing.

Positive: when they front your guy in the post, you can lob it over the top of the front for an easy dunk if there's no help.

Negative: I can't express how horrible the help defense is.

LeBron went for a reverse dunk on the fastbreak, but I blocked it with Kidd.

I figured out a way to get subs is to foul out someone... I looked at marion shot and he floated then took is unorthodox jumper

Just played 2 games...at first I lost by last second shot that I missed and the next game I dominated. I have to say even for this version thats not a final build it has me loving it already. I love the collisions and even the out of bounds area I started tapping game with Kidd vs Wade on the baseline trying to save the ball and it was amazing. I love handling and running with the ball cause its so fluid. Dirks shots, fadeaways are great and even the tattoos and sneakers are looking crisp. LeBron slamed it on a fastbreak and the sprite cam looked so nice. I love the lil Dirk & LeBron on the corner of the screen like a FOX commercial. The presentation is great and the crowd seemed cool. Just the fluidness makes me able to put 2k11 to rest. Just imagine when we can run plays, etc!

Has anyone successfully done one of the wrap up fouls by clicking the right thumbstick? I really think it's impossible. My guys just bounce right off of the Heat. I tried doing it to LeBron while he was standing still dribbling out the clock. It just doesn't work.
