The NBA 2K12 demo is available now for the 360. Later today for the PS3.

Scroll to the "N" section to find it. It's 1.1 GB.

Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks (Can only play as the Mavs)
Difficulty set to default/casual
No commentary
1 - 4 Minute Quarter
Can't run plays
No sliders, options, camera views, etc.
Free throw bug, after 3 second violation, is demo bug only.

Yo dis demo is 2 sick, dirk sig shots are on point and lbj and wade play like they play in real life and another thing i noticed was da ecape shots mike wang was talkin about when u hold the LT and then hit the shot stick it gives u a hard dribble move then a shot...damn 2k yall REALLY did work this year

Ill they finally gave us total control of shooting a hook shot or a turnaround jumper out of the post up. So that if your Kareem you can throw the hook from 18 if you like. Hook shots are pointed just left and right of the rim depending on player location and turn jumpers are pointed away from the rim to the left and right.

New member here. Been checking out this site for a while and I must say I've been loving the demo. LeBron and D-Wade have been a problem to guard so far and I'm loving that. The post game has been a little difficulty to nail down but once I get into the new practice mode when the game comes out I'm sure I'll get it.

I not sure what you saw, but i hit a game winner with Rudy Fernandez, team celebrated for a min, then the refs checked to see if the shot was good, when it was called a good shot they went nutz and it looked pretty good.

I agree it would be better to have those features, as they have had them in the past. At the same time i can consider, from the developers point of view, reasons to restrict so much. I think another huge reason is just to tease everyone with, if the demo played like a real (yet limited) game, people might hold back more on buying the retail game cuz they could continue to get kicks out of it with a friend or brother or try various things with various players.....this demo is supposed to be enough to show u the game and allow u the gameplay but not enough for you to be satisfied. They want u to want more, they want u to buy the game.

Has anyone shot a def 3 sec FT? I got one called on miami, but my game sort of froze when i was taking the shot: I couldn't use the stick or the shoot button to initiate the free throw, and the time was not ticking down from 15s. I was able to pause and quit, however.

Maybe its just fluke problem.

I think the point is that 2k cam is the cheesers cam of choice, I feel the same way. I'm sure there are good players who use it but I think the game presentation was designed for broadcast cam, maybe even more so this year.

I'm on ps3 but quick question. How easy is it turn towards the basket with turbo held down while dribbling? I don't think it was really bad last year but I just wanted to know if their are any changes to how it feels.

If anyones really desperate to try out some of the mavs subs you can foul out whichever position they play. For example to use terry just intentional foul with fernandez till he fouls out.

Locking down Lebron was so damn easy in 2k11.

After 2 games i can tell hes gonna be a problem in 2k12

(especially now they do more pump fakes,the cpu actually got me off my feet and got the foul)

The new RS defense feels great to use along with the LS. So much more movement to play passing lanes and contest shots.

Spinning out of the post is quite powerful so far. If Miami collapses I just kick out.

I dont like the half spin being a RT tap.

Long outlet passes are extremely accuarte
