wow. This is amazing.

This actually makes me want 2k to bring out a college game even more than i did before. With the improvements these guys are doing now, they could really lose their minds on a college game.

As long as KD isn't taking 38-40 shots a game like 2k11, I'm good.

Play distribution needs to be spread out a little more.

This is good to know sir. As an avid Bulls fan (see OS Legends League), I always thought that it was crazy that Noah didn't crash the defensive boards no matter where he was on the floor (especially when I turned up crash boards) or at least box out a big man that was playing on the wing.

Hopefully, this should help with me, too often, ending up having more boards with Rose (as I manually hit the boards) than with Noah because virtual Noah didn't seem to consistently recognize rebounding opportunities.

^ Why are you calling them idiots? Many people play online and if they want to be able to save their plays why are they being ridiculed for that? It is a legit complaint.

For those who only play online, this is putting the horse before the carriage. Saving plays should be priority #1.

Just wondering if there are different ball carriers up the court now? I remember reading that plays now does not have to start with the PG. So for example does Wade, James and Chambers take turns bringing the ball up for Miami?

Another question is that, is the catch and shoot less effective this year? I remember in 2K11 that the cpu ran the same plays for Deng, Carter, Durant and others to catch and shoot after an off-ball screen which was very annoying especially when you are playing against the Bulls since the cpu didn't focus (run as many plays) on utilizing on Rose on offense like they should.

And lastly, how does the cpu utilize their superstars and their own playbook? It was great reading Rob's playcalling system and it sounds terrific for the user to utilize, but it would be all useless if the cpu doesn't utilize it as well as the user. Does the cpu run the entire playbook and gets the user guessing every-time the cpu is on offense? Is the AI smarter? How is the substitution patterns made by the cpu?

Would be great if you can answer these important questions Da Czar! Thanks!

Again, you are only looking at it from your POV. It is very frustrating to not be able to save settings and have to do all of those pre-game settings before each and every game. If someone only plays online, many, giving then giving them all of these new plays simply makes the process longer.

So try to see things from other people's eyes. No need for name calling.

Aww man no 10 teams in 10 days this year? Yeah what I said may be hard to put into a insight unless it is about player tendencies, or signature attributes?? To be honest it is hard to talk about that without gameplay becuase you need to see it in action to see it implemented If not an insight you have to put a video on your site about knowing the details of your team ratings, tendencies, matchups ,and playbooks for a few teams.

i read like 1/10 of it the day this insight was released cause too high so too complicated at the time but man, i just took a good read now and wow.. u guys are freakin genius, these all new play systemslike PO, branches etc.. (if they work of course) are a revolution !

Oh Whaaa Whaaa Whaaa to you 2k gamers! Can't u just enjoy a new game, so u can't save your playbooks so what? u guys act like u r going to use 10 plays in 5 mins quarters, gimme a break. Most of the time u guys use those 2 or 3 money plays over and over again anyways, now isn't that cheesing. And most of u guys don't even run the so called plays to completion, u just use them to get ur players in specific spots, I know I do it too, it's not our fault it's 2k's or maybe it's not, I don't care, it's a game and just enjoy it. Man it feels like most people on here are guys but I feel like I'm reading a bunch of whiny girl posts. Don't get me wrong keep em coming. You guys sit here asking for the chance to save playbooks and call others cheesers, haha such hypocrisy. Shut up, and enjoy the game. The whole game is a cheese anyway. The sane thing happened with Madden, everyone was like OH WE WANT TO USE OTHER TEAMS PLAYBOOKS, now I'm playing the new game and I see the same damn plays being run for the whole 100 yrds, I ain't mad it's sports, take it or leave it. Now let me get to this insight, man I am so excited about this. As someone who has been booted from many leagues, video game betting sites, team ups, crews and had my gamertag flagged countless times, I think I have earned my right to speak for "cheesers anonymous" and it is with much pride that I say call it what u want every video game or simulation type software is a cheese. And every gamer has some cheese in them, just like u whiners asking for the chance to save playbooks cos u know ur cheese plays. Next time you complain about someone cheesing on u, maybe u should look at some cheese defense and look at ur self in the mirror. As a proud cheeser I already see a cheese move developing in the leak out offense strategy. Man the possibilities are endless for now on paper, it's like cherry picking on steroids lol. Can u imagine using this with the Heat, with Wade and Lebron who both have 90+ speed attributes and to those who say fighting for offensive rebounds is the counter of this, I laugh out loud at u guys. I mean in 2k11 all I had to do was a call a 2-3 soon as soon as my opponent took a shot or went for a layup and I was able to secure the defensive rebound 90% of the time. I'm sorry but this will be 2k9 all over again, unless they do it like 2k10 where full court passes were not a given, but I guess this can be offset with a player who has a high passing rating. I see this taking me to the top of the leaderboards in the first two weeks before the first patch. This is why I keep saying let's just all be friends and a enjoy a good game lmao because this whole game is a cheese. I can still count how many mid range jumpers I missed with MELO but the real life MELO misses horribly andthe LBJ step back jumpers were Ray Ray money. People keep complaining about the spin move not being authentic, but I saw LBJ do it to Rondo on a fast break in the playoffs. Cheesing is actually fun for me cos I get too bored easily with the whole game and I like to go one on one. I know everyone will laugh when I say this but Cheesing is an art hahaha yeah I said it. If u get cheesed on then ur defense isn't good cos there is no cheese that cudn be countered in 2k11 and that even includes the cheap pump fake in the paint, I would know, I'm a cheeser. The real cheesers just don't do it all for cheesing sake but they actually do it to exploit their opponents style of play. Some cheeses are just to make the opponent mad and frustrated especially the hot heads that they just forget about their offensive strategy and just charge into errors on their turn of possession. It's a chess game guys and last time I checked even chess got some wild cheddar and Swiss cheeses but it's also played with great patience. The guys who complain about the saving of playbooks n all are the guys who are the rookie cheesers cos they keep doing the same thing -insanity- over and over again without ever mixing it up. Ultimately I don't think u can run a hundred plays in a single game but who does, even in the NBA finals, i saw the heat run two sets of plays the most, one with LBJ and wade, with LBJ making the pass to a cutting wade for the layup/dunk and another set for bosh to get a mid range post/shot. It's a video game guys, let's just shut up and enjoy it. I for one I'm glad I get to be excited about something bball related, let's steal the headlines from EA sports once again. Yeah and please release the player ratings 2k, I can't wait to argue why d rose shudn be rated over Paul (save ur argument Bull fans). So until then and Oct 4 holla at me gt: PLAYBQY and let's do some real cheesing.

2k forums still down?

Don't know why everyone talking about the Leak out as if it's something new. It could be done with sliders in 2k11. The strategies are a fantastic thing, but as I see it there are only changing the coaching sliders on the fly. Leak out was in last year and it was easily defendable. Lower crash boards run back with your player and it's done. No FBs at all.

Exactly my point and conversely it could also be done on offense by messing with the attack the basket, athletic/skill and crash boards sliders as well. The game is all about movement. This is awesome man. Great stuff.

I know that we could turn the fastbreak slider all the way up to 100. I wonder if we'll still be able to do that and what effect would it have.

For example:

Fastbreak slider at 100 + Leak Out

When I play with the 76ers, Iggy leaks out alot. I dont even have to raise my fastbreak slider because my opponents crank their crash board sliders up too high.

All strategies do is change your coaching sliders (and def settings), I'm almost certain. Since on the screenshot with strategies there was the option to set to "Coach default". So I think you can't have both, since leak out most likely ups your fastbreak slider.
