Hopefully we don't have to edit the gameplay sliders too much or change the entire playbook for teams in order to make the game emulate the real NBA.
Im also hoping we won't have to edit the gameplay sliders or players/team tendencies that much in 2K12 for the game to emulate the real NBA. NBA 2K12 looks like it is stepping in that direction, can't wait for this game...

Somebody tell me if this has been asked:

but on the screenshot of the timeout where you choose the type of play you want in crucial moments of the game, how will the game stop a user defender from looking at who the shooter, inbound, and play type will be while the user on offense chooses this? It looks like everything is done by highlighting and selecting the player you want which would give away your play. The best way i know is to assign each player a button but if its not there now then we all know it most likely wont be in by the time the game releases.

So instead of the 1st image we get the 2nd image minus the highlighted players and Alley-oop (in 2nd) and maybe you highlight the area (shooter, inbounder, play type) that the offensive user is on so they can confirm which option they are picking. But then we would need to assign a button to discard a player or play type, but by now it would be too late like i said but hopefully our options wont be shown in user vs user

Honestly I think that is just the settings for each play type. I don't think that's the play call. What I mean is, it doesn't matter if they see your setup because you still have to call a play. I might be wrong, I guess we'll see on Oct. 4.

yea but my point is that if that is the setup it would make it easier for your opponent to guard against it and takes the element of surprise away. Imagine calling an alley-oop (it then becomes so easy to just guard the basket or stand in front of it, especially if that animation is still there that causes the defender to stop the offensive player from jumping).

And 2slik......i was thinking of that as i wrote and it was hard enough telling your friend that when NCAA had you highlight all of your plays too lol
