I think they could but they def won't bother like you said due to it being so late in this gen and they would just have to start over on the XBOX 720 and PS4. However I honestly wouldn't be shocked if 2K has been heavily investing R&D in a football engine since All Pro 2k8 with the hopes of rentering the market in future when the time presents its self.

Feels like waiting for release day all over again. Don't care for this feeling much.

Why would they cut sports they are profiting in (NHL) while maintaining and upgrading a dead engine? It's possible, but the idea is really out there. If they rushed it out, using the exact same engine for APF, it won't compete with Madden. Honestly it's getting to the point where Mo-Cap should be non-existant. Computers are more than capable of physics integration and making the calculations quickly.

I know I may be "fishing" but it just seems like something this company would do.

I still feel like this will haunt them for years to come, because these issues combined with those from previous years, along with the PR disaster being the patch, I honestly think they have lost the trust of the consumer.

I for one have no plans to buy future EA games.
I wouldn't be shocked I mean madden did very well 1.4 mill and 12% launch increase as did NCAA do well. Sooo I'm thinking maybe EA drags there feet addressing bugs or even acknowledging them because they don't want alert casuals or people other wise oblivious that something is amiss with the products and that said issue may or may not be patchable...

Right but my thinking is that 2k may be putting R&D $ towards a new physics based engine not necessarily upgrading the old 2k5/All pro engine because that engine was very much showing its age in All pro football lol. And also the physics based engine could possible be applied to basketball as well.

I think your fishing. NCAA taking forever to patch and being in my opinion- not worth playing in its current state is why i didn't buy Madden. Why would i want to play a game with many of the same core elements (they share code) if a patch might take 2+ months? In my situation, EA providing a competent patch in a timely manner would have increased my odds of getting Madden. Now its just harder to trust it would be fixed in a timely manner.

I would like to add, i sold NCAA in July since i was able to get what I paid for it. If EA is listening. I have been following this board for any reason to re-buy this game since i love college football. Instead the patch just drags on and on while major games like Dark Souls, Batman, Gears and others get closer and closer. You already cost yourself a Madden purchase from me, your getting close to another non NCAA purchase from me. So those people can say- well you guys will just buy it again next year, blah, blah. Well here is a small example of EA costing themselves money now.

Because, if he's insinuating that people complaining about a game that is unplayable and has massive problems w/ all the "new features" 2 months after release, then he's just down right insane.

People have every right to be mad and to air those frustrations...

I haven't bought Madden yet because of the issues with NCAA. I don't hate NCAA, but the patch is really needed and I might as well wait with Madden to see what it's issues are and how long it takes to get it fixed.

I think I've played maybe 15 total games with NCAA since I bought it the Friday after it came out. I never start my dynasty until the patched/tuner updates are out and having to wait this long frustrates me. I just hope this patch is worth the wait because it's been a long one.

I waited with MLB and NBA 2K11 until the patches were released to purchase and I might have to do this with Madden now and NCAA next season.

I used to be one of those guys who bought NCAA and Madden opening day each year but that changed last season. Perhaps I need to wait longer than a week now to buy.

Again, I like a lot of things about NCAA but IMO I can't enjoy a offline dynasty right now. RTG has been the only thing keeping NCAA going for me but I really want to get into a solid Iowa dynasty.

It's just maddening when college football has already kicked off and I can't get into my dynasty. I tried a "test dynasty" last week I just don't like some of the gameplay issues and the roster glitch.
