The Madden NFL 12 demo is available now. Please play a few games and post your impressions here. For now, just search under "M" in the demos section or games section. It weights in at 1.53 GB.

Also this is a small detail and maybe someone can shed some light on this but in real life I have seen Soldier Field with the grass the way it is now in the game (with the vertical lines) and I have seen it with no vertical lines. Which way do they normally have the grass in real life?

Ok so I decided to play the demo another time to give a chance.
And I thought it was alot better the 4th time I tried it, my only gripe is this and EA needs to know about this.

I went goaline formation Qb sneak for two full drives and scored twice on All-Madden, Cutler right up the middle 6 yrds,5yards, 11 yards etc...
Please fix this before the retail game.

Madden 11 sucked so bad 12 had to be better by default. I can actually tolerate this game. From my initial game...

Pros:
- crowd was live; great atmosphere
- graphics
- player movement
- not Madden 11

Cons:
- Jay Cutler was throwing deep crossing routes like an a'hole
- phantom tackle/fumble (see video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HFILm02AQU)

I guess Cutler is superhuman... He broke Mathews tackle, than outran Shields and Woodson for a 75 yard TD. Wtf. I must suck! Haha

really enjoyed the demo.... downloaded it for the 360.

was very surprised on the presentation part of the game it blew ncaa out of the water kind of brought me to the last nfl2k that was released.

i wasn't that hyped but now i extremely am for this game, it probably has to do with those previous people that did madden for the past couple of years are let go if i am not mistaken now this is from a new group?

just gotta figure out which system to buy this for now ps3 or xbox360

Anyone think the game speed is too fast. I know you can adjust it, but online games are set to default. I played a little '11, and a ton of 10. Was '11 this fast or did they speed it up a little. Otherwise the game looks great.

What I liked:
Way DBs played in Zone coverage, seemed to react naturally not jumping too many routes and fly to the receiver to make tackles(noticed this well on crossing routes in MLB zones).
Ball got tipped at the line and corner actually was able to run underneath it for an INT.
How routes were ran
HUM Pass Blocking seemed decent on PA.
Amazing Presentation/Atmosphere
How Aaron Rodgers stomped his foot and occasionally pointed to various defenders

What I didn't Like:
HUM Pass Rush was insane with Clay Matthews, but that is either accurate or will be fixed.
Couldn't run the ball, defenders came off blocks so quickly.

Well, I should have left the difficulty on Pro. Played one game (my only game so far) on All-Pro and the Packers killed me 31-0. I couldn't do anything on offense. I held my own on D but the turnovers did me in.

I really like all of the stat overlays. The pre-game stuff is a lot better than last year. The replays look good and I like the stadium flyovers. It's nice to see the presentation get an upgrade.

As for gameplay, I'm a little concerned about the frequency of QB scrambles. The tackling is better, as is the blocking. It's good to see you can actually play effective defense again, as it was MIA in Madden 11. Nothing blew me away, but I did see a lot of good things.

I still wish we had a Player-Lock camera for defense; I really like using it in NCAA as it adds a lot to playing on that side of the ball.

I just ran the ball 11 times for 125 yards with grant and its on all-pro with the rest at default.

I played the demo.....they improved the presentation, tackling, and a few other tweaks here and there....BUT NCAA plays way smoother.....and for once IMO....NCAA beats Madden...I know it's only the demo, the game may play better.....BUT Madden just didn't impress me.....that's just my opinion, and mine alone....some may like it....others may love it....BUT not I....I'm not saying it's terrible, it's just not for me....

dont know if this was mentioned, but I already had a pretty ugly glitch. On ps3.

I was kicking a field goal and the cpu blocked it. Yes, they blocked my fg and they scooped it up and started running it back. However, the screen orientation didn't change so I'm chasing them downward. Naturally, I press down on the stick but my guys instead go the opposite direction and starting running up (away from the guy I'm pursuing). Who knows how frequently that will happen, but judging by the FG attempts I've seen, the ends come flying in to attempt the block. So it might happen again.

Other than that, I like it. I play on very slow, all pro and it feels just right. Presentation is very well done. Animations feel better. One major thing I don't like is the camera, It's too zoomed out and I don't like the play diagram that comes up automatically. Didn't see an option to turn that off.

kick returns way to easy playing on all madden ran three back in a row with knox and the bears, and another thing when the cpu kept running down the sidelines my guess just ran right through him. other than that i really like the graphics and presentation

Yeah I was going to play more before saying anything but it seems to me that on all pro running the ball is a bit too easy..

I dont think you can compare demo to game like that. I do think the madden demo is much better than the NCAA demo but we will see how the final games end up, my money is on NCAA just because IMO madden has never beat NCAA

You must be a God at kick returns or you are the worlds luckiest man because I've not even seen any day light on them on all-pro. Either that or all-madden is messed up.
