I agree. the more I play it the more I like it. Just need to turn the speed of the game down a little bit. A little too fast in the demo for me.

I struggled with liking the feel of the game the first day i dl'd it, but last night it really grew on me.

About your game speed, i asked about it in the impressions thread, and someone said that the option to adjust the speed is there, they had seen it in a video.

Then also someone confirmed it again in the thread about the retail version of the game.

Game moves way to fast for me also.

Fine and dandy then. ps3 looked better in the pic is all i was saying. not my concern anyhow. i don't usually game on the ps3, but when i do, i don't sports game.

So are the DL moves turned off? I'm use the Safeties but tried to bull rush the OL with a DE one play and it didn't work. Plus my DL is not getting any pass rush from a 4 man rush. I swear the QB is having close to 6-7 seconds a lot of times.

First, it took me 4 effing tries to download the demo on my PS3 i dotn know what was goign on, and no my PS3 has started to load up slow i dotn knwo if this is a direct reason but either way. SO i reformated my HD with out saving anything and now i am pissed because i didnt even think about saving my fallout game, GT5, NBA2k11 my player, MLB the show. So after contmplating shooting myself last night, i moved on.

I digresse, Hope this game didnt start this chain reaction but i guess i will never know. Does anyone know if we can turn off play showing. WHen you line up and the play shows without hitting button is there a way to turn this off?

I think the one thing that's being overlooked is all the other improvements to this game not gameplay related. If it was a situation where Dynasty and RTG were receiving the minimal upgrade like previously this gen I would be throughly unimpressed. They added CC and while there's still a lot more that needs improvements that and the RTG upgrades have to be considered when talking about NCAA 11.5.

Agree, and throw in custom playbooks too.

I didn't mean it to sound that way. I just don't want people getting the idea that they are close at all.

Yeh, the thing I'm most excited about besides RTG is custom playbooks. That will make my experience so much better because I am a defensive guy and with the limited time to pick a play sometimes I can't find what I'm looking for but I know what it is. Now that we can actually organize our plays within our playbooks is going to be so much better.

So, the 3D grass looks absolutely amazing when it's in replay, otherwise it's just the same as it normally is which is fine by me. Absolutely love the new tackling and zone coverage improvements. One thing I have noticed though that is different from NCAA's before, stamina seems to be more realistic. For example, Texas intercepted a pass with their CB. I tried running him down with Oregon's QB (whose name I can't think of atm, sorry Oregon fans), and he managed to keep up with him for a while before falling off. Unless the DE has the right angle on an HB they won't run him down like season's past.

I've noticed this too.

Also, after a challenge the Ref walks onto the field and announces the decision. 100X better than in 11, where one team would suddenly just lose points or something.

The more I play this demo, the more I realize the improved gameplay....it's not perfect, but it's definitely better than last year

Dont try to act like people that prefer not to play All Madden/Heisman are just big chumps...I can win the same amnt of games on both but w/o the BS...and the passing thing ur also wrong. Numerous reviews have pointed this same issue out since NCAA 2005. I was one of the people that used precision passing and vision cone of madden so passing in NCAA and Madden has never been an issue...you can defend a broken product all you want but EA has been giving us the same game w/ the same issues for years...too bad we only have it as the only option...

Also to add to ur awful point about sliders...sliders dont do anything for the logic that is built into the system...increased user drops, fumbles and completely overthrown receivers has nothing to do with the sliders...its just a poor way to make the game challenging...instead of making the cpu tougher thru actual gameplay they do stupid things to keep the game close...i can still put up a blowout from time to time on the max difficulty..
I been playing Madden since it first dropped on sega myself and the Max level has always been super easy.. It just started getting a little harder over the past few years.. All-Pro and All-American on the current gen is about as hard as the games use to be back in the day on the Max level when I use to thrash the CPU on a regular. Thats my opinion on it.

I don't know what to tell you. Throwing has never been a problem for me because all I use is the left stick(use to be the D-Pad the left stick is even better) to directional throw and precision pass and I'm very good at it. Most people that complain about balls sailing on them are guys who only press the button and don't use the left stick to place balls when they throw. You should see how low I have the USER accuracy on my all-madden sliders.

Now to add to the awful point you should tried to make that sliders don't effect the logic that you claim is built into the system is completely wrong. Why wouldn't raising the catching on Heisman help lower the amount of drop passes?? That makes absolutely no sense. People use to say the same thing about all-madden and I crushed that theory with the sliders I put together because guys aren't dropping passes like that and I already made my point about using the left stick to throw the ball. If you continue to just press the button to throw you willl always have trouble throwing the ball playing on Heisman because they want you to use the left stick more to throw. USER skills is needed more to play on max levels. All-American or lower you can just press the button without using the left stick to make throws because they make the passing game easier for guys. If you can blow the CPU out on the Max level why would you want to even play on a lower level??? Why not adjust the sliders at that level to fix the BS that happens with playing on the max level? You say its a built in to make the CPU basically cheat to win on the Max level. Same can be said that the make the CPU play weak and dumb so you can do what you want to them on lower levels. I prefer to go where the challenge is and adjust things but to each is own. We just got to agree to disagree like you said..

Despite my joy with virtually no suction and warping as well as the wonderful new tackle engine (compared to past iterations) I was set to pass on this game till the news of C.C, RTG and custom playbooks and Conferences broke out. I loved NCAA 11 and was quite content with that game. If they did not touch Dynasty and RTG I would be passing on the game.

Those feature upgrades will create a brand new way to play the game and add a tremendous amount of replay value to carry me for years.

Madden is looking like the same story. This is the first time in 6 years I have been this excited for EA football games.

OK..I have bogged down and played the demo for 3 days. here are my impressions

The Good.
1. graphics and smooth gameplay are vastly improved
2. the in game commentary and storylines are solid
3. running is improved as is defense

THE BAD:
1. comp qb doesnt scramble
2. alot of pancakes going on
3. quick clock on defense to pick a play feel rushed
4. as i get hit it always incompletion

Ok to sum it up, i see this game vastly improved. The things i saw can be patched and fixed..I liked about this game it reminds me of ncaa 99. and 2004. I remember my buddy and i would play online together. You were able to literally establish a run game. I racked up 200 yds with richardson in a demo. Not because of bogus, i mixed in passes, and followed my blocks. I have the best offensive line on the game so that didnt hurt. I feel like i could run with any team, mixing plays , attacking tired players, it felt like a legit game plan could be effective. I cant wait to run dynasty, but i noticed when u have a drive going the momentum really swung. My early impressions have me excited. I didnt do online dynasty last year so anyone who has experince or is running one, hit me up..dimebaghebert15

A few more impressions:

- Commentary: It's always been weak, and I hope the full version is better (even though its outdated). WR missed an open pass in the endzone and the commentator screams "WHAT A HIT! THAT'S HOW YOU KNOCK THE BALL LOOSE"

- Presentation: I know this has been mentioned before, but i bust into field goal range with my RB. As he is getting up off the ground, they go to a cut-scene of him warming up to make the game-winning field goal...

- QBs: Personally, I thought the FSU QB broke a lot of tackles in the pocket. But has anybody noticed a difference in ball speed? Every bullet I threw was crazy fast, even if it was 50 yards down the field. I didn't mind it, but it felt weird...it was all perfect passes to the inside of the CB and the Safety was always a step slow to get there.

How is this the perfect review? Because you agree with it? I completely disagree with the review. Would competition lead to a better game? Probably, but to say the game has not improved and feels like the past 4 games, that's laughable. This game does play a lot like 11, but to say it plays like 10 or 09 pr even 08 is a complete joke. I've played 08 and 09 both in the past month and anyone who says NCAA 12 plays like that loses most credibility with me.

I should stop there before I go even further off topic.

Well said. I agree.

well my thoughts on this demo, I can really tell changes in this game, the running animations are fixed but suction tackling has really been toned down. there is no super-jumping linebacker animations where they swat the ball. The physic cornerback is still in the game unfortunately. There isn't alot of complaints I have on this game. All I have to say is that Football for EA is making a comeback
