i agree Pared the momentum is heavy...what ive always wanted to do is a standing cross whenever you press it lightly to get the ball to the other hand the player kinda MOVES to position...i hate that..
anyway i finally got a HUGE block...KG was doing one of his fancy little post up moves when i just came out of no where and sent the ball to the stands...best part was the crowd went bananas!! bad part was that the players didnt seem to care...i was hoping some YEAH GASOL YOU SENT THAT ISH FLYING!
I'll tell you what.. I'm really, REALLY curious to see guys who "game" get a hold of 2k11. It's going to be interesting to say the least.
While there still might be cheese in the game, a lot of the non-sense that used to be a part of the 2k bball series seems to be disappearing very steadily...
I'm a PS3 owner who's waiting..... I see most people like the game while some others are griping at things that appear trivial for me, but for them I guess is a big issue. At the end of the day, unless the game is completely terrible, I will have this game on launch day. and from most of the accounts I've read, it's better than 2K10 by a country mile. And the fact that I can use my fav team (3 Peat comin' June 2011) makes this demo even sweeter. Dang it Sony lets get this thing crackin'!!!!!!!
Love the game. I like how smooth everything runs. The thing that jumped out at me was a block I had on Rondo. He was driving to the lane and layed it up, I switched to Kobe and swatted it out of bounds...(been waiting to do that for awhile). Also I notice that when I went to dunk, Kobe took a guide step and then threw down a strong 2 hand (looked very realistic). I also like how the gatorade moment of the game replay only showed up on a play that was worth, on the play I jumped up to take a jumpshot and somehow threw a behind the back pass to Gasol for a easy dunk. Everything was a plus, I just wish I could have got in a whole game, or been able to substitute (wanted to sub in Shannon Brown).
I keep asking myself what happened to all the youtube videos I see usually like 2 hours after the demo release? There are hardly any youtube videos so far...

I just realized, fan of the Yankees and also a fan of the Lakers... hm...
I can't believe I just read like 30 pages of this thread.
Man, this work day has been easy thanks to this thread. 60 pages of mostly insightful comments. Most of my time in the demo will be spent on getting used the player movement. Scoring and Isomotion can come after...
I just have to say the to me personally not including plays was an **** fail. That is a big part of their authentic movement and they have a 10 day feature on it and they drop the dang demo and all the sudden they want me to take it too the playground... I understand it could just be because I have played the full game but this is just bad to me. To exclude one of your best features out of the demo is a FAIL....
So I downloaded the demo and played a few games early and haven't touched it since. MEH... and YES I'm serious.
Please use the feathering of the stick to avoid the heavy shifts in momentum. Remember the slightest defensive movements can get you open... YOu don't HAVE to cross someone if a simple change of direction will do.
I was so heavy handed coming from 2k10 that I know that has to effect more of you guys also. Try it out on both offense and defense. On d try to use the least amount of pressure that will keep you in front of your man.
On that note, it's CLEAR that you no long have "help" from the game controlling your guy. If anything, this is the biggest adjustment. Everything is on you now. So don't screw yourself. Total control. No more assist from the AI.

People are real busy playing the game. No time to edit and load up videos.
Just another ps3 owner waiting. It's all good once I get the demo I'll be off OS for a while. 30 pages of information mostly positive. I'm really excited.
Ohh man, was 10-10 coming down for a last shot with Kobe, hit Von Wafer with the sig gather right into a fade at the buzzer.
FINALLY you'll be able to execute in late clock situations in a realistic fashion. Was ridiculous how the defensive player could literally prevent you from even getting a shot off in 2k10 just by riding you with the steal button up court.
Also, Von Wafer's jumper looks great. Jump shooting in general just feels fantastic. There seems to be a dynamic release point on everything now, even hooks shots if I've been feeling that correctly.
Kobe has a good 6 sig shots, at least, and I'm just talking jumpers. Pretty amazing.
I also did Kobe's sig floater moving right-left across the lane, that sort of one handed flick jumper, swished it in nicely over Perk.
REALLY wanted to use Rondo...I still don't get the one team demo, who the hell came up with that idea!? The Lakers really have only 1 great ball handler in Kobe, with the Celtics you have 3 in that starting line up. Really missed a chance to let us get used to this isomotion.
havent downloaded the demo yet but i plan on it...i wonder if 2k11 improved on 3sec in the key? not sure if anyone touched on this...it was horrible in 2k10... cpu camped in the key alot longer than 3 sec...
Fellas loving the impressions.....but I was wondering why no one is really talking about the passing...have you guys been able to do the wrap around passes and bounce passes on demand? 2k I told you guys "blocks" were gonna be bigg..!!! I can't wait to slap somebody's shot out the gym..lol (can you guys hear the blocks this year? now that you have the demo?)
Also I noticed we don't see alot of the walking in the stands with the same people as much this year so far..... alot more variety.
does derek fisher shoot with that crazy high arc on his shot....anybody?
how does phil jackson's face look in the game? anybody figure out how to do the flagrant fouls yet?

Try fouling out Kobe, Brown should come in for him huh?
