Over all I am loving the demo. The WR catch animations are awesome, so it the DB looking for the ball animation. I caught a few in TD's in the corner of the end zone and 1 at the back of the end zone. Love how the WR automatically look and try to keep one foot inbounds and how you see the twist in their body while doing that.

Causing fumbles is awesome too, user strip seems to be working good. Getting sacks don't seem to be a problem either. PA and pump fakes work really good. Presentation is AWESOME.

I cant stand how some people are making blanket statements over the entire game based off a DEMO as in DEMONSTRATION of what we're working on.

OH hook zones are broken
I get no pass rush
etc

first check the dificulty your playing on. AA and Heisman are not simulations of anything nore do they claim to be. They are a more difficult mode of the game as in HARDER to win. Not tougher in AI or football smarts, HARDER to defeat period. If Tiburon makes a "simulation" dificulty and your seeing crazy stuff then go crazy.

secondly i think people are losing touch, you are playing college football where some players are garbage compared to others. You say your corners cant cover the CPU receivers with zone coverage. Maybe your player sucks? Maybe he can't play zone? You guys make it seem like YOUR defense has to play perfect or else the game's defense is broken. Im sorry Mizzou cant get pressure on Clemson consistently. Maybe Clemson can actually block. People, you will have games where you can't stop the offense, where you get, hold your breath people, NO SACKS (guy passes out while reading), the other teams QB will ruin your day...hes a monster QB for a big time school, he will play well and maybe against you (macho heisman player feints while reading) you may even have a game where you can't score for your life.

Some of yall feel entitled to something and I dont know what. Especially this Cavalier fan. Anyway I like the direction this game is headed in lol

I'm referring to All American, which is the default skill level online. These observations are noted in both human v human games and human v computer games. They happen to both the players on my team and to the computer's players.

The rest of your post was mostly rambling nonsense, so I have chosen to not respond to it, except to say that most of the flaws I pointed out were things that were problematic on both sides. It's no less of a problem when the CPU's impact corner leaves a streak wide open than it is when mine does it, and I get a cheap TD with less than a minute to go to win the game.

But he does bring up a good point. If I'm using Ohio State and the CPU can't rush worth a damn on me then maybe it's because the Buckeyes are good at stopping the run? I don't think you can fully say this or that is broke or even working until we have the actual full game and can play various teams and styles and compare how they all work together.

I will start off by saying that I have yet to play the demo (My 360 RR'ed on Sunday), so nothing I am saying directly reflects the gameplay in this current demo.

Although I do agree with you that too many people complain about every little thing, but I was reading your comments on the difficulty level and I disagree with you. If AA and Heisman are not simulation level difficulties, what is the proper difficulty for simulation? In year's prior Varsity is way too easy, so it cannot be a simulation. For example, if I play on Varsity and can take a 3 star program to the NC game the first year playing, that is not simulation. I believe that this is a problem that has plagued NCAA for years now, I believe that the difficulty level should be based off of the players ratings. For example, on Varsity your opponents ratings effect should be lowered for an easier experience for those that prefer an easier gameplay. AA should be your most realistic sim, where the the players attributes react realistically, and in which sliders can be adjusted to fit your belief in realistic gameplay. Heisman should be for those that want hardcore AI playing above their ratings. Again, this is just my opinion on my experiences playing the game. It definately gets boring winning the NC year after year because the AI just does not play to their actual ratings, but it is also annoying to see a QB go 20-27 for 400 yards as you would see consistantly in last years game.

Just to expand on that - if I'm Army and the CPU is Alabama and the CPU can't run on me...well then we have a problem.

Except that there already are a variety of teams in the demo, with a wide range of strengths and weaknesses, and many of these issues appear no matter what teams you use.

Yeah you're probably right. Well we'll see..

I believe it should be based off player and team ratings aswell.....

But i disagree with you that the level is AA where the ratings play out more

I honestly believe it is Varsity level and the same way you stated the sliders can be used on AA well they can also be used on Varsity to provide the same game play expierence

I'm not really having trouble getting a pass rush either against me or for me. It may not be quite as quick or consistent as desired, but I hardly think it's broken.

The blocking AI isn't always perfect, but I find my biggest problem is when I out-run my blockers. It's pretty solid otherwise.

As far as pass coverage AI, it's not perfect, I admit. I don't think it's horribly broken though. Remember, zones are vulnerable against certain pass routes. I think I need more playtime to say for sure though.

Also, if every block and coverage was perfect, that wouldn't be particularly realistic either.

couple things - a few camera glitches on penalty calls which i'm sure have been discussed. i don't like that when i score a td it puts me back into offensive plays, instead of special teams. along the same lines, when i pick special teams from my own 20, it shows up with the option to kick a fg instead of punt first.

i like the momentum thing. it doesn't seem like a huge difference, but the game feels a bit better. a bit more like last generation. which is a good thing. the visuals are good on the intros, though i'm still not happy with the player models and their bulkiness.

in 4 games, i returned 2 kick returns on All-American. i had little problem getting outside with harris for miami and throwing on the run seemed fairly accurate.

it's a demo, but i'm sure this is pretty close to final. i'll need to get 10 or so more plays in before i know if it's a must buy though. we'll see.

close to the final build? i heard in a few places that the demo is on a build at least 2 months old...which would be great news as it's definitely a solid foundation in my opinion.

It's about a month before the final build.

I hope they fixed the lag in the QB in the read option. Whenever I chose not to hand the ball off i just like stopped. It doesn't flow smoothly at all.

WOW! just had one of the greatest comeback victories!
It was Miami Vs Ohio State and I was Miami. Down 12 with 23 seconds to go, the buckeyes just intercepted my past on my last possession. So they kicked it off, returned it for a touchdown and now it was 12-7 with 11 seconds remaining. Onside kick and what do we have here? I retain the onside kick with 8 seconds left. First i try Hail Mary, the ball is tipped with 3 seconds remaining. I try Hail Mary again, i try to buy some time, everyone is playing man on man, i roll to the left, see one of my receivers to the left streaking down field, throw it just before i get tackled, my receiver catches it in stride....TOUCHDOWN!!! i start running up and down my stairs in delight!

I am straight loving the demo, although there are some hitches playing on the PS3. But i dont know it seems like this will be my very first NCAA Football game!

my ps3 demo isnt installing and is stoping at 14% anyone esle have this problem ?

# 1359 steelersfan7 @ 06/16/10 10:21 PM
The biggest concern I have is the players look like they are ice skating and had a few super human INTS by the CPU. I hope they at least fix the ice skating, if so I may buy this, haven't played or bought NCAA since 02.

i havent read too many comments about this, but i LOVE the ESPN college football theme in this game. it raises the level of authenticity for me way up and hearing that tune, i know it's time for some college football.
