Great demo. The replays are different but good. The gameplay is awesome for a demo. Presentation is solid. Its an all around good demo.

Oh and it just hit me, with this new play calling interface we finally won't have the game automatically go to the PUNT or FG screen which will mean we may actually be able to run a fake punt or FGs against a friend every so often. Because before it'd default to the punt screen and you'd have to back out and go pick special teams, then fake punt and your friend would notice you doing all of that. That's going to be fun to be able to do fake punts/fg's again vs. a buddy!

Exactly.......

I think you got lucky then. Without the replay feature its not saving highlights. I'm pretty sure that's why no one else is getting naything but the last play seeing as it is the only play the demo remembers.

I like that about the new playcalling too. I like doing a fake punt every once in a blue moon, but it used to be so obvious the last couple yers when playing on the same screen. Now I won't have that problem.

I don't think that's necessarily true though. I want to enjoy the NCAA/Madden series and I did, in the past, but I don't agree with all the design decisions. I enjoy the recruiting aspect, I enjoy some of the gameplay until the last two iterations. 10 was way better than 09 for sure, but 09 was what killed any good favor EA had with the gaming community.

I'm certainly willing to give credit where it's due, and I do think this is a step forward, it just comes after 3 steps back (09). I'll be willing to rent this or wait and see what the feedback is, but I wo't go Day 1 like I have the last 7-8 years.

To each his own callmetaternuts but honestly, if that demo didn't sell you then I think you're wasting your time..

I guess I'm in the minority because it does feel like an improvement but I'm not overwhelmed or overly impressed. Not trying to hate, I feel like we're still at 80% of last gen. No doubt that this is better than 10 (at least the demo is).

I'll be waiting to buy this though. Every year at OS, the hype off the demo is just like this, everyone is pumped. Then Day 1, everyone is pumped and saying how great it is, talking about highlights, uploading videos. About a week in, people start to see the shine come off and then the huge glitches are talked about and the shortcomings and the game leaves most of us disappointed.

Its a good demo for sure, but until I see a good bit of solid feedback on the retail version, I'm tempering my enthusiasm.
I disagree with the demo analysis. Last year, there were a lot of people who were upset about the same physics they were seeing and same game play.

It's a much different and positive atmosphere this year.

On Heisman the pass defense is fine to me. I see CPU and my AI defenders jumping routes, knocking down passes, etc. Passes over the middle are still too easy to complete as is the case with every EA football game on this gen of consoles. I wouldn't call it broken though.

White Out - the on-the-field game looks fantastic to me, minus of course the lack of dreadlocks So not sure what game you're looking at man. NCAA 11 is finally a good looking game for the most part, no "tricking myself" here. I say for the most part because we still need coaches, sidelines and the crowd improved greatly..but the on-field action looks great IMO..not grainy at all.

stevedrumsdw - I'm not seeing the issues you speak of on All-American. I don't play on Heisman. I hear complaints like you speak of about all sports games, not just EA's, and honestly wonder how you guys are playing the game to get the results you get. Until I see how to replicate on my console I don't waste time worrying about these sorts of issues as whatever it is you're doing, i'm not doing.

If that's true then it sucks. I'm not someone who cheeses so I'd never call 4-wide streaks the entire game. I'm not someone who goes glitch-hunting in sports games either, but if you play cheesers then this is a problem.

I'd say anyone that runs 4 wide streaks all game is not a "football person"...as ehh said, if that's true then it sucks...but since I don't see 1,000 people on here barking about it, and trust me if it was true you'd see 1,000 people on here barking about it, I think you must have an agenda.

The game play is familiar, and all these people saying how much it's improved with locomotion, what game are you playing? I frankly think that hype and lack of competition has put people into a mindset where they have to trick themselves or fool themselves into believing this game is getting better with each year.
Glad I'm not the only one that's noticed the graphics.

Didn't mean that comment as a a knock on you, it's obviously an issue. I meant that I don't find a glitch and exploit it over and over again.

How is that true? Everyone raved about the demo for 09 and 10 and the retail was far different (more 09 than 10). I never said it was a bad game, I just said I thought it was an improvement, but not a reinvention of greatness. I see the improvements from 2 min quarters, but before I spend $60, I prefer to rent and see what the community has to say after a week.

main reason I try my best to stay away from these threads. There have been so many "Game breaking" flaws that I've never seen in past games because of not being aware of them.

Some people don't want to just have fun..

Exactly....

On a side note I believe this may be a new record for most posts in an impression thread before the inevitable "You don't know football" posts...

Not true mainly because the demo for 10 made my decision to not buy 2010...and I didn't.
