I understand you gotta limit scrambling QBs but you cant completely ruin a potentially great run just because a QB is running. If you dont want scrambling QBs then either lower the speed/agility/acceleration of them or increase the awareness of defenders to react to a scrambling QB.
Do you have auto sprint on or off? Just curious if that might make a difference.

If fumbles and dropped passes were decreased, then I would have zero complaints so far. But when Pryor rips off a 60 yard scramble on me, but fumbles and then I fumble the next play, something is wrong. And when I see 4+ dropped catches a game, something is wrong.

I'm new? Did you look at the join date? Just because you see 70 posts doesn't mean someone is new. I've been here for the better part of 3 years, pal...which appears to be much longer than you.

In fact, over the past 3 years I've seen a ton of guys like you who go all manic over any glitch in the game. Suddenly, the game is broken and EA has grabbed you by the sack again. Honestly, guys who take this approach remind me of the middle school girls I coach in track. Any little hiccup and the world is suddenly ending. Understand what it is you're dealing with and the nature of how a demo works. Its like free a sample of beer: who cares if its not ice-cold yet....its still beer!

come on Canes

I hate to sound like a broken record but you can eliminate dropped passes with the game play slider once it releases....

I'm also pretty sure the fumbles are tied into RBA slider or the Tackle slider or a combination of both.

I hate to defend the game especially a demo but those are things they can be fixed by the USER himself if he doesn't like seeing fumbles or passes that are dropped.

This is only a demo but i think the game itself from what I've seen and knowing what can be tweaked is going to be AMAZING this year

Exactly sir... Don't waste your time with them.. the guy said there was no real spiral.. NO way you can play that demo without noticing the spiral.

yeah, especially with the super close-up replay cameras this year.

You're right. There's nothing wrong with it. Killing me man. I'm not asking you to hate on the game, I'm asking you to put a critical eye to it and see if you think that this might be a continuance of a problem with sweeps and pulling lineman that has been in the game for a couple of years.

do you have to have a gold membership to get this?

I just downloaded it and played a game.

What the hell they took out Lee Corso on commentary?

And the new presentation wasn't really anything special, the replay angles are real nice, but other than that all I really saw was crowd shots after every other play which got kind of annoying.

I thought protak and gang tackling was supposed to be in like Madden 10, I didn't see a single instance of gang tackling and most of the tackle animations were exactly the same as last year from what I saw.

Pretty good, but after playing one game not quite sold yet.

To add to that, the replay frequency is high and that's always a good thing. The only problem is that it's all way too close up. If they had gone with broadcast distances, it would've been perfect. They were so close there, but they let artistic freedoms once again keep them from scoring the win. When will they learn... I mean, the closeness of the replays become a huge problem on certain plays, like when the ball is high in the air and going into the endzone. You wind up not even seeing any of the players, just the sky and the ball finally hitting the ground. What a bad judgement call.

I hate the fact that there are no pre-play camera shots. I also wish there were some tight above-waist post-play shots (broadcast style). I'll say that NCAA's post-play is better than Madden's mess though. Way better. Still, they really need to make some new post-play animations. They've just completely neglected this all generation and it really continues to hurt post-play.

The cut scenes as far as I've seen have no hideous black screens in-between like Madden's, so that's great. They move very quick and smooth. They did a really good job with the speed there.

The menus are sweet.

Overall, this is a good football game. I like the control feel. I can't say it's a 100% night and day difference with the feel, but the difference is considerable enough. I can really see the work they put into this game. Last year's game was such a piece of trash, it pales in comparison to this year's effort. Right now, it looks like a definite buy for me. Good job NCAA team, good job.

P.S. This is the best-looking football game I've seen released so far. I'm very impressed with the detail and the lighting.

P.P.S. The stadium sound is way too loud for a broadcast. Turning that down will be my first order of business after popping it in.
I'm glad they at least did put some broadcast angels inthe game on the replays. I had a play where I blitzed the CB and got a sack on the QB on his blindside and the replay looked amazing and very realistic. I do wish there were more angles like it though. A lot of the angels they put in are wayyy too zoomed in, especially on deep balls.

Maybe this could help fix the lead blocking problem? Perhaps by allowing the cpu to slow u up or down u'll stay in sync with the lead blocker? Just a thought
I am pretty sure all auto sprint does is make it where you don't have to hit sprint, but instead you hit top speed once you run X amount of yards. I have played with it on 50% of my games and theres no difference really.

I don't think it makes the game determine your speed, it just makes it like NHL 10 where you'll hit top speed by just running, you don't have to hit the trigger to hit top speed.

Im loving this demo and from what I can tell the final build will put this game over the top if they tell us at E3 that coaching changes is in.

Anyone notice of the DT's are pushing back the pocket this year?

Played all the match ups in the demo. I will try to give some objective opinions.

Negatives
-I have seen on a few occasions the receiver warp to catch the ball. It doesn't happen every time, but did a few.

- I have also seen some bad blocking logic on the tosses and sweeps.

These are the only negatives that I have noticed or bothered me so far.

Positives:
- Locomotion is a game changer. Player movement hasn't felt this right since last gen.

-Looks like there are a lot of new animations. I have seen some brutal tackles.

-Blocking is much better overall. Best its been in Next-Gen.

-No more zig-zag running.

Overall I think its pretty awesome. IMO its the next gen football game we have been waiting for.

Just played the demo for the first time, and I had a blast with it. Pretty fun game, sucks there's a month until it releases though.

I did incur one strange glitch, I haven't read through the whole thread so I don't know if anyone has noticed it. I was running the option and I pitched the ball to my RB, and it fell to the ground but was ruled an incomplete pass. From the naked eye it looked like it was pitched backwards, although with no replay I couldn't be 100% sure. Was wondering if anyone else had noticed this?

By the way, I'm sure the majority wouldnt touch that beer until it was ice cold.
Of course EA is known to have glitches.

Football gamers are ALSO known to leap head 1st off of tall buildings, usually resulting in catastrophic bodily harm.

Point of the beer analogy is that its a sample you can have over and over and over. It may not be perfect (or ice-cold) but it is free.

Point is, guys who are having fits over a demo (not you, the guy you qouted) need to sip some of the beer I spoke of earlier and just relax. I understand the problems with EA's football titles...really I do. I just can't understand why anyone would get SO upset over a demo. I'll wait and get my scrip for prozac AFTER the game comes out....all I'm saying. Take it for what it is and wait to go bear punching when the retail version drops.
