Pared, is the pick and roll as effective with adjusted sliders on the higher difficulties? Thanks

Regarding the Lakers court, i noticed that they got the purple colour spot on with the "Lakers" at centre court. I wonder why they didn't apply that same colour for the keys?

Only thing I learned from the demo is that I need the retail version. I can't even stay in front of my man because the game keeps moving my dude around automatically. I can't call any plays. I can't change the camera view. I can't even seem to use isomotion. I was killing the moves in 2K9 last night, but for some reason this feels different.

With all that being said, this game looks very solid. The demo isn't really doing much for me though. I need that official.

I remember not liking the demo last year but then the retail version blew me away. I hope that is the case this time because it looks like 2k9.5 to me right now. The animations are sluggish and the player movement is brutal.

See what happens, but as of now, I am more impressed with Live and I have been a 2K gamer for the past few years.

Very impressive, and a huge improvement over 2k9. Love seeing the CPU set picks and I had a heck of a time driving to the basket especially for dunks, which is something I could at will with certain players in 2k9. Hard to have any other impressions without the play by play, etc., but it looks and plays very well. First day buy no doubt.

Things I liked about the demo:

1) Player models look better than I anticipated (except Kobe, he looks terrible)

2) The presentation

3) The crowd and atmosphere is excellent

Things I didn't like:

1) Some of the animations, especially when a player turns...They stop and turn as if they are on a stick

2) The net physics have no variety -- The ball actually morphs through the net on free throws...

Strictly demo related, it wasn't very good. You did not have the ability to change difficulty or any other settings to give the user a solid feel. Also, the demo was too short.

Nice to get to see the visuals which, again, are nice.

Big improvement over 2K9, for me. Most of the small niggles I have with the game should be fixable by edited sliders. Definite thumbs up.

EDIT: Although, I did notice one bug. I'd managed to tip a pass with Nelson, then fed it to Rashard for an open dunk. As he went up for it, the game froze, and when it unfroze he was about a foot away from the rim, with the ball jarring back out. Not quite sure what happened!

The demo is okay, I was actually still used to Live's controls when I fired up the 2k demo. (who would of thought?)...

If what I'm reading is correct about the size up dribbling not being in this demo then that helps me understand why the dribbling just doesn't feel right to me.

And why are the floaters/runners different and sluggish compared to 2k9? Am I the only one who's noticed this?

2k's speed of players is seriously flawed.

Case in point: Pau Gasol

- Use sprint with him on a fast break (every missed basket can be turned into at least a 3 on 2 fastbreak, so this shouldn't take you long).

Look how slow he is (unrealistically slow in my opinion).

- Now watch or use Pau Gasol on defense when mismatched on a smaller opponent or coming out cover an open shooter on the perimeter.

Totally different player....ugh.

Slowing the game down does not help. It makes your man feel, well.

SLOW.

The movement is better than 2k9 but that's not saying much since I feel like I'm running into a stiff wind on the break.
.
I still feel like I'm hung in an animation or my man is not responding to what I'm requesting him to do.

I have a friend who came over to my house to play Madden. He plays it all the time on All Pro Slow. Which is the original setting/online play.

We played All-Pro but I have my speed set to fast.

He loved it. He said the game was so much smoother and he could feel the speed. When you hit juke, they juke. No delay.

I hope 2k lets you choose the speed for online leagues.
Otherwise. I don't know.

What's up with everyone saying Kobe looks bad? He looks perfect to me. Him and Vince Carter are the 2 best looking people on the demo.

# 378 BrianFifaFan @ 09/29/09 05:49 PM
I have 3 words, "come on man!" Not feeling it. Graphics have gone backwards. None of the dunks have any emotion, whole game lacks "wow." Having played both, here's my question. The other game has stellar, fluid graphics, better "sig styles" at a top notch framerate. What gives here? The AI isn't that advanced. This game used to be like the PES of basketball. Now it's becoming the PES of basketball. Sorry, only the soccer gamers will get that. I'm done with 2k for this year, at least. Rant over.... See ya'll....

Won the tip-off with Bynum about 10 minutes ago. First time in about 25 games total.
