NBA 2K10 Q&A: Retail Copy in Hand

I and a few others were lucky enough to attend the NBA 2K10 launch party here in NYC.

We were given full copies of the game and are willing to answer questions.

The only thing I'm going to tell you guys right now:

NO QUESTIONS ABOUT RATINGS. We already post them in the NBA 2K10 screenshots section.

Not to me, but there are subtle differences in the demo. The controls seem to be a bit more streamlined than the past. When you try to do something, it actually happens. As of now, the CPU shot percentages are extremely high, but a slider can fix this. This could be a good thing, or a bad thing depending on what way you look at it, but the CPU ALWAYS finds the open man. Sometimes they pass up good shots for the open shot across the court, and they make pretty incredible mid-air, unrealistic, mid-air passes to make this happen.

Pared, I'm trying to gauge where my DC character ranks in regards to shooing. Can you (or someone with the game) provide the Mid range, and 3pt rating for the following players:

Vince Carter
Rashard Lewis
Richard Hamilton
Ben Gordon

I played an All Star game @ the launch party but I didn't really pay attention 2 the court we were on. I'd assume it was the Mavs tho. Is the actual game gonna be played in the Cowboys stadium or something?

1. Do we have the ability to sort by rating (whole league) this year?

2. How is Nate on the game? Anyody get a dunk with him yet?

3. Do you think the cheese-heads will cry about the turbo feature this year?

1. I don't know...I don't stress ratings like that unless I notice something outta wack with individual players...

2. Nate is good. I played against the Knicks and he was about as erratic as he is in real life but I haven't seen any dunks with him yet. Just some nice dribble moves and cool layups. I uploaded a video 2 2K Sports of a nice move he hit me with...

3. Who cares!? I'd assume u don't fraternize with em so what difference does it make? I think the turbo systems great though. It actually has an affect on the players on court performance when they're tired this year...

Oh I care because if they cry enough I can see 2K patching it in their favor like they did with all of the "missed layups" in 2K8. Rememeber that right?

Nah cause I hated playing 2K online until 2K9...even then it gave me headaches. It was due 2 the lag more than anything. I felt like I was losing 2 scrubs cause I couldn't get that timing down. I feel what ur saying tho cause I play Fight Night and I hate the fact that they patched it 2 put the buttons back in. I feel anyone can mash buttons but it takes some kinda skill 2 really work them sticks....

Sorry to ask this quesiton but have they finally lowered Larry Hughes and Jamal Crawford's dunk ratings? What are they if you don't mind me asking

The emotion is pretty tight.....

Some of these cats look like real ballers on the floor. Then on some of the after plays they react just like one of your boi's when they want to show off after a nice play....

I wonder if Dirk does that tongue thing in NBA 2K 10.....

That would be crazy seeing Dirk hit a big shot and then run back down court with his tougue out
