Madden 2010 News Post

September 9, 2009 – This season marks the 50th season for the eight original American Football League (AFL) teams, and EA SPORTS is commemorating the celebration with the release of the AFL Legacy Pack game add-on for Madden NFL 10.

Available on September 24th, the comprehensive add-on brings the heritage of the AFL to Madden NFL 10 with all-new 1960’s-style presentation elements. Referees don the orange striped AFL uniforms, official AFL markings and logos decorate the field, and more – all while featuring a retro football card-like user interface and classic film grain broadcast camera.

The eight original AFL teams will be represented by name and wear their historic uniforms, including the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs (as the Dallas Texans), New England Patriots (as the Boston Patriots), New York Jets (as the Titans of New York), Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers and Tennessee Titans (as the Houston Oilers).

The 15 AFL Legacy Game matchups during the 2009 NFL regular season will include the Legacy Pack presentation in the offline Franchise mode, as well as during the Play Now, and Superstar modes. Historic AFL uniforms can be selected in any mode – offline or online!

Relive some of the greatest moments in AFL history with all-new Madden Moments, which include additional Xbox 360 achievements and PS3 trophies.

The AFL Legacy Pack game add-on for Madden NFL 10 will be available on September 24th for 560 Microsoft Points and $6.99 on the PSN Store.

The award-winning Madden NFL 10, the highest rated version ever for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3, is in stores now.

I'm on my third 360 because of the RROD. If I spend the $7 for the DLC and my 360 craps out, would I need to spend another $7 to download it to my new 360 (I would get a new one through my warranty at Best Buy, rather than have the old one fixed) or can I download it again for free since I paid for it once already?

Downloaded stuff is linked to your account, so you wouldn't have to pay again. The worst case scenario in getting a new system is that you have to be online to use stuff that wasn't originally downloaded on that specific console, but MS does have a way to fix that as well.

How do you turn the AFL package on for the offline Franchise. I know you hit R2 on the PS3 for a exibition AFL game but I don't see how you turn it on for the Franchise. Or do I just pick a team that was an AFL team and when i play another team from the afl it's automatically turned on.

I just started a 'chise with THE RAIDERRRRRS, and in year 1 when I played the Cheifs it was already on our AFL logos, unis, and field. the only thing that didnt happen was the screen color changing. I still got the AFL trophy, so I dont think it matters. Prob it only happens year 1. Thats just a guess.

I'm not entirely sure because I don't have my PS3 on atm and I didn't use the code but I'm pretty sure in PSN, in the top right corner where the search, wallet etc options are, there's a 'Redeem code/voucher' option. My guess would be there.
