NBA Live 10 News Post

EA has posted another NBA Live 10 blog. This one covers, shooting the rock. Screenshots and 10 minute gameplay video included.

"Hi again Live fans. Well, this is the last gameplay blog you guys will see before the NBA Live 10 demo hits PSN and XBL next week. I’m really looking forward to seeing all your homemade videos and reading your feedback. Keep in mind that the demo isn’t final code, so it’s really just a taste of what you’ll see in the full game. Take my word for it, one of the real strengths of Live this year is playing with and against all the different players and teams, which unfortunately, you won’t be able to do in the demo. But I’ll let Novell speak in more detail on just how deep the AI upgrade was this year and how we took player/team differentiation to the next level with Dynamic DNA. I know you sim-heads out there are gonna love it, so expect that blog in the near future.

But with the demo coming soon, we thought it would be good to give you one more tutorial to help you hit the ground running with some of the new gameplay mechanics. And today we’ll talk about everybody’s favorite subject: shooting the basketball."

Let me just say that I am 100% a 2k fan. That being said I just want to say that this is a huge step for Live. This may be the biggest step between two games we have seen in a long time. While i will check out the demo, I am sticking with 2k. However, I am happy for Live fans because it will finally pay off that you stay dedicated to one game. Good job to the developers. I didnt expect Live to be competing again this early. 2k has some work to do.

I wish I could afford both. I don't mean that sarcastically, I just mean I honestly wish I could afford both.

I can't stop watching the 5 on 5 vid on youtube and I just noticed how one of the
Raptors came up hobbled after a failed tear drop attempt - Sick. Plus Marv spoke on it like the Bargnani injury where he was hit in the head. I know this has been spoken on but you GOTTA love how guys continue to play obviously hurt or get hit then try to tend to themselves going back up court. Overall this game is looking and sounding stupendous!

to any dev ... maybe its the bad video quality but i cant really tell if during the knicks game in the 5vs5 gameplay if al harrington or tyson chandler have thier tattoos it doesnt look like they do an if they dont, even tho not a big deal, i will be disappointed ... so clarify that 4 mee besides that game looks fantastic

Guys,

Look for the 360 Demo on the 10th or 11th for gold members. It will be on PS3 a week later.

I'm getng both because I'm a bball fan. I bought all 3 games last year. Eventhough one wasn't even close to the other 2 I stilled got NBA 09, oops. I live and learn. But, this year is gonna be a great bball year. From the looks of each, I would say they look as if they could be in the running for SGOTY. Just my.02.

As someone who's thought Live has been pure ish for the better part of the decade I'm very impressed with this video and Da Czar's impressions.

Going off this video it looks like there are going to be a lot of 'little things' in this years game. I really liked the eye poke animation and the yell from Boozer. Hope they get Gasol's signature verbal flopping in there... (j/k)

Really liking the momentum shots, I missed having them in NBA titles this gen. Didn't like the rocket pack dunk though.

This is definitely a first day purchase now. Probably buying both games this year (first since 2000) unless the demo's for either have glaring issues.

I gotta say that I have cautiously optimistic about this game, but after watching these new vids, it looks straight up sick!!

The player movement is spectacular. I felt like I was watching a real game.

Yea and the great thing about it is with these new controls we can choose what hand to dunk with.

To me that is next level stuff because not only am I creating opportunities like that but I'm controlling the finish of the play too.

Its not like last year where I just press X and hope he does the right thing I'm in complete control now.

I know the concept is in 2K with the shot stick but this whole idea looks even more refined in Live this year.

Can't wait to try all this out for myself on Thurs.

I'm sold. This game looks spectacular.
