NBA Live 10 News Post

Basketball is just around the corner and EA timed it up perfectly, by sending us an early copy of the NBA Live 10 demo on the Xbox 360, which features the Orlando Magic @ the L.A. Lakers, played in an "NBA Finals atmosphere". You can only play the first half, in the demo, which is two, 4 minute quarters. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to take screenshots or video from the game. Hoping to have beta code by mid-September, so keep your eyes open.

I want to get pumped about everything in that article...I just can't get past the words "Rebounds hitting the floor" and wonder how that's still happening.

About the play selection..is there really 392 different plays for the Lakers, thats incredible. Can you give me some examples of how they work and some of the names of them. Does play artwork show-up on the screen like 2k does? And is A the new shoot button??
Maniac welcome to the OS !!!

here is an old video that talks about the play system in live 09, live 10 may be different but it may answer a few of your questions.

They are !! both games started sharing the same engine last year. It should be a hell of a game also.

That is a lot of custom plays per team in my opinion if you consider the possible variations. Last year the lakers had 2-3 triangle plays and that was pretty good so if you estimate is correct I think 11/12 custom plays per team is an excellent start.

I'm LOL'ing about some of the comments on Vince's rating. This isnt 2002 anymore.

I understand this is a compettion, but Live is starting to take all 2K's features, and call it something else.Where's the originality? i guess if you can't beat them join them.Personally,i think Both will be solid. It'll come down to what you prefer,I just happen to be a 2K fan,but I give Live Credict, they showed up this year.Much Respect!

Er, sorry, it was actually the IGN preview. At the very end, it says when to expect the game in stores and then says demo will be September 10th.
