I am not seeing a demo download for Madden 10 at all on PSN for PS3. I just want to get the regular one minute demo. Can I get some help on this? Thanks!

2) If a few plays look out of place during the game, I'm not going to fret about it.

I'm not saying this game or any game is without flaws. If it's a situation where there were flaws with every play, then I'd say the game was broken.

That's just not true.
A perfect example of this would be when I was playing Mass Effect a few weeks back on PC. During a fight somehow a bug happened where I was blasted and went THROUGH the roof and just kept going and had to reboot the game to continue.

I have played Mass Effect 3 seperate times, this only happened once I am not gonna hate on the game for something that happens very rarely.

Overall Madden 10 is awesome, and is up there in regards to quality to NFL 2k5.

Steelcitychamp the 1 minute demo will be out July 30th on the PS3.

I don't think EA blew anything. The game has many many improvements over 09. Yes there are bugs and glitches. I want to see the retail version before I pass judgment. There was 2-3 weeks left to polish and tune the game, not to mention patch 1 which I hear is going to be live on launch day.

That said, I do see some of the issues in the demos, but they are not game killers by any means, at least IMO. I also don't get what the major problem with the rocket catch is. Players catch the ball like that all the time. Especially Fitz.

My problems are the pass rush: Should be fixed with sliders

Psychic DB's: Testing this out over and over and I have not been able to reproduce it.

Lead blockers turning back to the middle of the field: I am hoping this is fixed in the retail version.

All in all, its a solid step forward for the Madden team. If you don't see that then Im sorry, you must not want to like the game, or the game just isn't for you. Is that your fault? No. But its just the way it is. If you expected a completely different game then you were wrong to think that. Its the same engine. Either you like it/tolerate it, or you hate it.

I hope they minimize the display screen so we can see the cutscenes at halftime and game end more clearly. In the demo they take up the whole screen practically. Have any of the ea guys said anything about this?

Love the demo btw (the snow effects are great).

After reading all the different opinions from this thread I broke down and went to my local GS store and put some money down on M10 received my code and went home and downloaded the demo.
After playing a couple of games, I came away thinking that this may be a pretty decent game. I was able to get a ground game going with the Steelers but had difficulty stopping the Cardinals passing game. I said earlier that I was not going to get the GS demo, but after reading a great number of responses I am glad I got the demo. I did notice that I received only one card, meaning all the people who received packets of codes received those in error but that is gamestops fault for not informing their employees. I understand that this was only a demo but with a little tweaking we may have hit the motherload. I read in some responses that the demo featuring the Cowboys vs. The Giants was a little more polished I will find out this thurday. But so far, Good Job Ian, and the gentlemen at EA sports.

In my opininon (and I would like to hear others thoughts on this) I think the Cowboys vs Giants demo is a significant jump in quality over the Superbowl demo. The graphics are literally twice as crisp and the game seems much smoother and plays at a more realistic speed.

My buddy who doesnt play much Madden came over and we first played the 5 minute demo. Then I put on the 1 minute demo and after the first few plays he said "This is twice as good as that last demo, Madden is back"

Take from it what you want....

the only thing that i really dont like is the controller vibrating anytime somebody gets close to the qb... for some reason that makes me panic and just throw it to somebody even if they are covered... but wat really makes me mad is when THERE IS NOBODY AROUND AND IT VIBRATES LIKE THERE IS... ill look down and see that the closest guy is on the ground... and later ill look down and they are being blocked... i hope i can change that in the settings... i really dont like that

You must have not played a lot of demos...many demos are way different than the final build.

Since you are in the know, the demo build we have right now was a demo that was produced 2-3 weeks before the Madden team did their last tuning for the game.

the problem is there is no counter animation besides tackling but a guy like fitz is not doing to drop too many times. if they gone have a rocket catch on offense then the defense has to have another legitimate counter or else its an exploit

There has also been a confirmed day 1 demo from Ian. Seriously man look how different the NCAA demo was from the final version. I already think that this version of the game is amazing, and if we see that kind of leap from this version to the retail version it will be better than NFL2K5.

Madden NFL 10 Exclusive Gamestop demo Impressions, Version 2.0

A few days (and about a hundred pages) ago I posted my initial impressions of the demo, not that anyone noticed/cared. Basically I said it was good, but blocking was questionable at best.

After playing a few more games, I realized it's all about the sliders. I tried a game with Custom sliders (on a scale of 1-100, Passing: 45-50, Running: 20-25, Pass Defense: 70-75, Run Defense: 55-60), and the game was amazing. I won 31-14 as the Cardinals, but the game was a lot more even than you can tell from the score. The Steelers were able to move the ball well on me running and passing, but Adrian Wilson picked off two passes in the endzone to kill the Steelers' drives (he had a third INT and was MVP of the game).

As the Cards, my passing attack was great, not quite unstoppable, but extremely powerful. My running attack was ok, Wells was able to truck a defender to two one-on-one, but didn't bust out of any gang tackles. My pass defense was spotty (except Wilson) and my run defense was solid, but let off a few big runs.

There was one play that really got me, but it's not a gamebreaker or anything. I ran a play where the LG pulled, and the Center was supposed to block back on the NT (Casey Hampton). He completely ignored Hampton and went after the LB, but he didn't take the easy road and go straight ahead around Hampton (who was lined up shaded to the C's left) and go to the LB, he turned 90 degrees in his stance, ran around Hampton to the LEFT and then went up on the LB while Hampton flattened Wells 3 yards deep. One of those crazy WTF plays, but other than that the game was great.

Just a minor complaint, but what's up with the players constantly adjusting their face masks? I know they do in real life once in a while but it's way overdone in this game. Many of them do it at the exact same time which makes it look even more out of place.

I wish every single play did not have to end with a cut scene where they zoom way in. I think they pro tac and rest of the game play would look much better with the regular camera and no zooms. A cut scene after the play is whistled dead is cool but not right when tackles are happening.

So anyone get a user controlled INT yet? I've been trying but no luck yet.

Yezzir! Most times if the demo is not a cut of the actually game its from another build of the game...graphics and gameplay have been different in many games i've played...not just football.

# 1400 bowlerguy92 @ 07/24/09 11:42 PM
Is anyone else dissapointed with the graphics in this years football games? The textures in some cases just look washed out and odd, not at all what the graphics looked like in the HD gameplay video on youtube and other websites. Is this just me or...? My other games in HD look incredible but these football games just look raggedy.
