My buddy who doesnt play much Madden came over and we first played the 5 minute demo. Then I put on the 1 minute demo and after the first few plays he said "This is twice as good as that last demo, Madden is back"

Take from it what you want....
i keep hearing this. too bad i have to wait til next week to check it out. stupid sony and their unwillingness to pay for demos.

2) If a few plays look out of place during the game, I'm not going to fret about it.

I'm not saying this game or any game is without flaws. If it's a situation where there were flaws with every play, then I'd say the game was broken.

That's just not true.
I can't enjoy it when 5 out of 10 plays in a drive doesn't work due to warp block or players doing a super 180 to make a tackle, or the ball going through a DB hands. Madden 10' is an improvement but it's inconsistent. Those flaws can occur at the worst possible moment.

I feel bad for the people that going on be participating in tournaments and they get so far but thanks to flaw that occurs out of nowhere, their going home empty handed and wasted their time.

If something doesn't work properly, I would like to know what went wrong and make adjustments. That was my purpose into looking at the instant replay in the first place not to look for a flaw.

I was one of the people who said that Madden 09' was just a demo as well.

Madden NFL 10 Exclusive Gamestop demo Impressions, Version 2.0

A few days (and about a hundred pages) ago I posted my initial impressions of the demo, not that anyone noticed/cared. Basically I said it was good, but blocking was questionable at best.

After playing a few more games, I realized it's all about the sliders. I tried a game with Custom sliders (on a scale of 1-100, Passing: 45-50, Running: 20-25, Pass Defense: 70-75, Run Defense: 55-60), and the game was amazing. I won 31-14 as the Cardinals, but the game was a lot more even than you can tell from the score. The Steelers were able to move the ball well on me running and passing, but Adrian Wilson picked off two passes in the endzone to kill the Steelers' drives (he had a third INT and was MVP of the game).

As the Cards, my passing attack was great, not quite unstoppable, but extremely powerful. My running attack was ok, Wells was able to truck a defender to two one-on-one, but didn't bust out of any gang tackles. My pass defense was spotty (except Wilson) and my run defense was solid, but let off a few big runs.

There was one play that really got me, but it's not a gamebreaker or anything. I ran a play where the LG pulled, and the Center was supposed to block back on the NT (Casey Hampton). He completely ignored Hampton and went after the LB, but he didn't take the easy road and go straight ahead around Hampton (who was lined up shaded to the C's left) and go to the LB, he turned 90 degrees in his stance, ran around Hampton to the LEFT and then went up on the LB while Hampton flattened Wells 3 yards deep. One of those crazy WTF plays, but other than that the game was great.

Re: Madden NFL 10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here

Just a minor complaint, but what's up with the players constantly adjusting their face masks? I know they do in real life once in a while but it's way overdone in this game. Many of them do it at the exact same time which makes it look even more out of place.

I wish every single play did not have to end with a cut scene where they zoom way in. I think they pro tac and rest of the game play would look much better with the regular camera and no zooms. A cut scene after the play is whistled dead is cool but not right when tackles are happening.

So anyone get a user controlled INT yet? I've been trying but no luck yet.
