It has been said that if someone calls the same play over and over that the D players will react sooner like they know whats coming because they in fact do.

I'm going to reserve judgment on the game until I play the full retail version. If it still has all these issues EA needs to do the right thing and give up the exclusive license so someone else can have a shot at it.

I respect Ian and his team for what they are trying to do. I think it's great that they have come here and interacted with us on these forums, and I am in no way bashing them or their work. But........ To be continued August 15th.
I'm seriously not trying to discourage you from doing what you want but the amount of videos you see showing glitches is no indictment of Madden itself. Making these kind of videos became the "cool" thing to do. Everyone is looking for their Youtube channel to blowup. Monkey see monkey do. You can hunt for bugs in any video game and make these kinds of videos all day long because ITS JUST A VIDEO GAME. Really don't know what some are expecting sometime. If those weird things happen every play it's a major problem otherwise big deal. I wonder how many videos we all could make showing what the game does right. Then the geek boys finding glitches would look kinda silly.

You're doing the same thing this year.

If you're going to dominate these forums it's only fair that people know you were a one-man human hype machine for Madden 09. Why not put it in your sig? Something like: DISCLAIMER: I LOVED MADDEN 09, the only thing I could find wrong with it was that it was so awesome I was mad that my body required sleep, so my impressions of Madden 10 might be a tiny bit skewed by my love for the series.

Surely you know where I'm coming from, let's not be coy here.
I have no idea what your beef is with me, but I'm going to ask you to please get over it and stop with this nonsense. I'm posting my impressions. Either deal with them or put me on ignore so you don't have to read them, I don't really care.

But I'm not about to go round and round with you, nor will I adhere to any of your "suggestions". This is an impressions forum. People post their impressions of the game both good and bad. There are those who are fans of the series and there are those who hate the series. Its up to each individual reader to make their own sound judgment based off of what they read.

I'll post what I feel as I feel it and people can view them how they wish. If they agree fine, if they don't, fine. I really don't care. What I don't care for is someone challenging my opinions/impressions simply because they disagree with them.

With that said, I'm done with this and I'm going to ask that you please stop making me out as some "bad guy" simply for having an opinion that you disagree with.

Thanks and take care...

well then make the videos. its the "ITS JUST A VIDEO GAME" attitude that allows EA to steady put out poor quality games and make money doing it. also i think most of dont know a difference between glitches and bad programming

It's very frustrating that it's so unreliable. And to top it off, it seems that the CPU plays perfect pass defense. They press at the line and hold my guys there, and when they do release they are actually running slightly ahead of my receiver on their routes. Clearly the potential is there for the AI to play competent defense (even too competent), so why the heck does it only happen for the CPU and not my CPU teammates??
Good point. However, I seem to have an easier time playing with Pittsburgh on defense. I wonder if this is just a matter of the better team playing better. Yet, I do think the CPU defense plays smarter than when a human is playing with them. That is one of the things I don't like. I don't understand why developers always dumb down the human defense. It's very irritating. Just let my guys play defense to - please.

That being said, I'm still excited about the game and can't wait. Plus, this is the demo so some final tuning has yet to take place.

I don't see players turning around in circle and warping on to someone to bring them down on Sunday.
Please tell us how often these errors occur.

RMoody, told me it happened randomly during his game 3 times out of 50 plays. That's not often.

I've seen it no more than 2 times per game and they don't happen every game, either. Let's not forget, it's just a demo here too.

People keep posting repeats in here as well.

My request would be to please check to see if the negative video you want to embed here is already posted. Just clicking on the last page doesn't cut it.

Why would EA drop the license when they know people like yourself who are unhappy with the product, will buy it anyways.

Your feelings are perfectly valid and correct, but you need to show some restraint and choose not to hand them your $60.

I was like yourself up until but last year where i finally said NO! to Madden. This year will be the same, they have made great strides with Ian Cummings at the helm, getting them away from stupid gimmicky features and focusing on football, but the product still lacks polish and maybe next year they can tweak it, and put out something more lifelike.

if anything, i suggest renting from gamefly, or buying it used. their numbers have gone down year over year, and i think it's worked since oddly enough they've started making some core changes to the Madden formula.

be strong fellow football gamer.

Ian and the entire EA Sports crew........GREAT JOB! This is coming from a NFL 2k5 guy who honestly has not enjoyed Madden NFL over the years. With that said, I can already tell from just playing the demos (360 and PS3) that this year is going to be special. The more I play the demos the more I am coming to love this game!

Thanks for listening!

Despite all of the negative comments on the board lately, this game ROCKS. Can't wait until I see how good Franchise mode will be and the online franchise I will be in also. I am sure that this game will remain in my console for a long time. All of this in one year. Can't imagine how good next year will be.

Madden 10 is just lipstick on a pig. The AI is really poor, the collision detection is amateur, what more is there to say. I like the demo all in all, appreciate Ian and his team trying to steer this product in a better direction, will probably buy it used to get my football fix.

Yes I am with you. I know it was a small taste in the demo, but for me this is something I think I will keep in my 360 this time for more then a week. As much as I love playing 2k5, I have to admit that in the back of my mind I was waiting for a true next gen football game that I can enjoy. I clocked in my 60 bucks for madden this year. I am going to roll with it all year ahd try to avoid nipping at little things and blowing it up.

Sometimes I think I mentally take myself out of enjoying games when I read a bunch of I hate when, and look at this video post. I am going to sit back and enjoy :-)

Wow, Madden 10 is a great game. I played about 10+ games of the Madden NFL 10 demo and was blown away by the graphics, the realistic game play, and awesome presntation. Madden is no longer as easy as it used to be, it now involves much strategy and game planning. A lot of people evaluated Madden 10 based off of videos and some even gave early scores of the game, but let me tell you, play the game first! To me, this game is awesome, but if you are skeptical, don't judge the game and say that others are making excuses for EA when you haven't played it yet. To be honest, it took me awhile to get used to the game speed. The first couple of games that I played made me hate the slowed down game speed, but later I adjusted to it, and it feels much more realistic. The game overall FEELS realistic and looks like a game on NBC's Sunday Night Football. Some people have complained about the physics in Madden 10, but they aren't that big of a problem. In fact, they are GOOD, not terrible, and not great. Overall, the demo gave a good taste of what to expect and I'm thinking that this game may surpass Madden 2005 as the best game in the Madden NFL franchise. Hopefully with all of the other additions that were left out of the demo make this game great, so we'll see on August 14th.

I thought I explained very clearly what my "beef" was with you. I never called you a bad guy, etc.

It's simply the sheer VOLUME of posts, in addition to the volume of your posts, your "impressions" read no differently than if they were written by the Public Relations Department from EA Sports.

It's great to be enthusiastic, but just like last year it seems like every page of hundred plus page threads has at least one or two posts by you on every single page. Each one HYPING the game. I think it's only fair that new people here know this is exactly what you did for Madden 09. Nothing but gushing, effusive posts about how amazing the game was, like I said, your posts could be written by the EA P.R. department.

We see hundreds of posts of people complaining about "haters" if they say anything negative about Madden whether they're constructive or not. You are the "reverse-*****" lol.

I don't have a problem with anyone's opinion, and every critique of Madden is met with at least a few posts critical of the poster and not the content of the criticism.

It's one thing for someone to say they loved the demo/release, etc. It's another thing for someone like you who posts hundreds upon hundreds of posts each year HYPING the game each year.

Just like last year, your posts read more like spam/advertising for the game than serious impressions or feedback. I know I'm not alone in this opinion. It's nothing personal, but, geez, if someone posted slightly negative impressions of the game over and over on every single page of hundred plus page threads, they would be banned for sure.

I would think your enthusiasm would be tempered just a bit this year after hyping Madden 09 like you were getting paid by the post last year. Only later to tire of the game and praise Madden 09 PS2 as the new be all and end all. Sorry if I'm raining on your parade, but just like last year I can't read a new page on these thread without one or two posts by you. It's supposed to be an IMPRESSIONS thread, not a chance for you to prove your undying love and loyalty for the Madden series on every page.

Sorry, someone had to say it.

All he really has said is that he likes the running game and he helped me with the pass rush by saying about using the l and r sticks to create pressure. Those are good impressions.

Has there been any info on what will be fixed in the final version and the patch? Sorry I haven't been online all day, and don't have time to read through tons of pages.

How many times last season and in the playoffs did we see Larry Fitzgerald jump up on two or more DB's and still come away with the ball. It happens and it should happen in the game. So nobody should be able to outjump the defenders and get the ball. So there are some real instances were a player performs
RC in real life.
