I know I've said it already, but I absolutely love the running game this year, especially with the slowed down speed. Making the subtle cuts/jukes and getting "skinny" to get thru holes is a thing of beauty.
Also just a tip if that, but for those that are struggling with pass rush, use the r-stick and L-stick in unison. I'm trying to figure out how to get across what I mean, but I was Berry for the Cards and I got pressure on Ben by pressing the L-stick to the right(towards the line) and then pressing the r-stick up/left diagonally and the l-stick to the left at the same time away from the line and I was doing a pretty sweet swim move to get around the tackle. I only got to Ben once, but I forced him to step up in the pocket a few times and he tucked and ran once do to pressure.
Hope that made sense.

One more thing that I just saw, I'm loving the fact that DB's/LB's don't make plays on the ball when they are turned away from it. I just threw a pass to Fitzgerald on a crossing route, but I got fooled thinking Woodley was coming on a blitz, but he didn't. I threw the pass and Woodley was running towards Fitz with his back turned and the ball dropped in over Woodley's head and into Fitz's hands.
So nice to see.
So nice to see.

I also don't like on kick returns, it gives you like 1 second to choose the player you want to control before the kick off starts. Same on FG/XP block.

Agree with this too. D line pressure should be the same for CPU as the human controlled team.
Overall, it's easily the best madden for next gen. Love the graphics and game speed. Can't wait 'til they get a new gameplay and animation engine though.

LOL...I just beat the Steelers 7-0 thanks to a missed field goal return by Steve Breaston. I went 103yds for the TD.
Man, I'm going to stop playing the demo and delete it from my hard drive. I can't ever remember a year when this many videos were out showing problems with the game. Yes, it's a demo, and I pray it's not the final build but the more I play the more I see. I was just playing a game and I threw a pass to Breaston the ball would have hit him perfectly in the chest except it went right through his body and was picked of by Troy Palomolu *sp. That is just crazy. Should not be happening.
I'm going to reserve judgment on the game until I play the full retail version. If it still has all these issues EA needs to do the right thing and give up the exclusive license so someone else can have a shot at it.
I respect Ian and his team for what they are trying to do. I think it's great that they have come here and interacted with us on these forums, and I am in no way bashing them or their work. But........ To be continued August 15th.

You should have a disclaimer on your posts. This time last year you had nothing but glowing posts about Madden 09, HUNDREDS of them. You had the game early and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread...until you played it enough, got sick of it and then decided Madden 09 for the PS2 was the greatest thing since sliced bread. lol
Nothing personal, but perhaps you, like many others get excited about new releases and let your enthusiasm take over. You're doing the same thing this year, saying you see nothing wrong with the running game, etc. There's much improved in the demo, but a lot of the traditional Madden problems remain. If you don't mind one or two lineman going unblocked on every running play, fine, but let's not mislead people that there's "anything in the running game that presents a problem".
You hyped the hell out of Madden 09, now you're doing the same thing with 10, let's hope when we get the retail version, you're not going back on your hundreds of OMG! posts about 10 like you did with 09.
If you're going to dominate the Madden impressions forums with posts on practically every single page of hundred-plus page threads like you did last year, people should know how much you LOVED Madden 09, until you threw it under the bus for the PS2 version.

Man I haven't got a chance to DL it because my home internet is all jacked up. Looks like the complaints and praises are in. CAn we give it some credibility that its a DEMO? and not the final build?
PANIC!! really? did anyone expect a different game? i mean its still the same madden with tweaks to gameplay. overall yea a bit improved...i personally like the changes...BTW its a demo...so either buy it or dont. Improvement only comes in small doses with a one year development cycle.

Yes, I liked '09 and yes, I bought the PS2 version later in the year. So what? If people are viewing MY impressions and using them to gauge whether or not they should buy the game or not, then I need to look into starting up my own website and charging people a membership fee to view my "highly regarded" impressions.
Take care.

I don't go looking for glitches, if they occur, I note them and keep tally at the end of the game.
The most glitches I've had are two per game. Maybe that's a number a lot of people can't overlook, but as long as the game play is much improved, those rare glitches here and there don't bother me.
I like the demo a lot. It's hard to really pin point the issues until the game comes out and you can really get into it, but so far it's good IMO.

To say you only "liked" Madden 09 is misleading. You LOVED it, you literally dominated the early impressions thread with hundreds, possibly over a thousand posts on every single page gushing over how great it was.
You're doing the same thing this year.
If you're going to dominate these forums it's only fair that people know you were a one-man human hype machine for Madden 09. Why not put it in your sig? Something like: DISCLAIMER: I LOVED MADDEN 09, the only thing I could find wrong with it was that it was so awesome I was mad that my body required sleep, so my impressions of Madden 10 might be a tiny bit skewed by my love for the series.

Surely you know where I'm coming from, let's not be coy here.
