I have not seen any official word on this, but if last year was any indication, the final could look better. The demo last year looked compressed and not as crisp as the retail game. Could be the same this year, but that is a guess.

I agree, it is annoying in NCAA 10 and it is now. I still can't wait for this game to come out!!! SB demo was great with few complaints. My only real gripe is about the collision detection. I saw some players morph into other players when making tackles. Helmets molding into other helmets, it's ugly stuff. Other than that aspect, graphics look damn good.

Presentation, gameplay all stand out this year. Ian and the team stepped up and did their jobs this year. This is probably the biggest one year cycle of improvements in a while for a Madden game.

It's not that it doesn't work at all, it just works sporadically for me. Sometimes it doesn't lead at all and sometimes it does it too much, probably in response to my pushing it longer because it didn't do it on a play previously. I know that it works, but it feels like it works different. Like the NCAA demo. It was the same for me.

I'm a practice whore. I run plays billions of times against all defenses and I have come to learn what results to expect. The Demo just seemed like the learning curve was reset because it wasn't behaving the way that it behaved a billion times before. It could b eme, but I seriously doubt it. I think something is a little different this.

here goes and example:

That's been happening long before MAdden 10. That's a Tiburon staple lol.

Really, I think it's wonky as hell. his arm goes one way the ball goes the other.

Wow this is going to take some getting used to. I think its a tad bit to slow at the moment but thats what the slider will be for. This feels like a new football game to me so I can't wait for august 14th. The Madden team did a pretty good job this year from what I can tell and this is just the demo. I don't like that HUGE RED RING which is a eye sore for me but I can take it.

Does anyone know if its been confirmed if the red ring can be take off? I'd rather have the little red ring from from the previous maddens.

Well out of the four teams in both demos to me.... FINALLY the team colors are dead on on my tv

You have to understand that players have force fields around them in Madden lol. I would bet my bottom dollar that the game interpreted that as the lineman hitting the pass. Have you never dove at a ball carrier and were just stopped in mid air and fallen to the floor with it looking like you never touched the ball carrier? Have you never been sucked up into a block?

Tiburon's collision detection issues are legendary and their poor animations are right up there with it. Don't trouble yourself over that play. I promise you it's Tiburon's collision detection and piss poor animation at it's finest lol.

First off let me say that Madden is a beast this year! Ian you guys have done an amazing job and it is just incredible how far we have come in one years time!!!

I have been playing both demos on the 360 and the graphics look much better on the Giants vs Cowboys demo. Is it a more up to date build? Has Ian commented on this?

madden 10 is looking scary for me. it has plus but its had these same old issues. there engine just flat out sucks when it comes to recreating the NFL

just played the demo today, gotta say that i'm really a bit dissappointed. compared to college fb the speed of the game should be much faster not much slower. also, is it me or has the graphics taken a step back? I will sat that i was happy to see the improvements to the presentation though.

# 1293 darlingdark @ 07/24/09 05:51 PM
Still a little clunky with the receiver animations. Speed is a little too slow. Overall i will still buy...love the ideas and it looks like they can tweak the game.

Overall, I think Ian and the EA Dev team have done a nice job; however, I did notice a few issues from the demo that IMO should be fixed before the game ships.

Game Speed-Deceasing the game speed was the right decision, but I think 10% was a bit too much. I know we have the ability to change it in the final build, but still I think it should be at 5% for online matches.

Line Play-Just like in NCAA, the CPU QBs have WAY too much time in the pocket. This has to be addressed.

Everything else was good.... Presentation and more specifically the post-play cut scenes were awesome! All-Madden appears to finally be challenging again.

I'm definitely enjoying the demo and it has some fantastic features (over the shoulder catches, the presentation, stats, banners, refs etc).

Two things I wanted to point out to Ian and crew, if they read this far.

- When a ball carrier goes into Pro-Tak animation stuff, it seems they slow down significantly. I hit Fitz on a crossing route, and a DB started the Pro-Tak pile up from behind, and rather than keep moving forward, he went from running full sprint to tip toeing along. It seemed his momentum shouldve had him still running forward at a quicker pace

- THere are times on running plays where instead of me seeing the runner go down and then switching to a cut scene, it switches to the cut scene before he hits the ground. Almost like the play is out of my hands so we switch to a different angle.

Overall though, I'm loving it ( 5 min demo on All MAdden if it matters)

It's hard for me to judge this game going by a 5 min demo. I didn't like NCAA10 demo but I like the game. Don't like this demo either. Maybe because it moves way too slow, players are jogging.
