Will online franchises require all 32 teams to be user controlled?

too much to read, here's my question:

Say I'm running an OD in NCAA Football and I wanna start an OF in Madden.

Can I save the rosters from each year of my OD and then draft that class in my Madden OF?

I'm not sure if my question is clear, hopefully someone gets the gist of what I'm asking and can answer.

Thanks in advance

It just hit me how much this is going to rock. Imagine how cool it will be when you are going for the rushing title against 9 other guys in franchise mode. Do you sit your star RB before the playoffs and risk the rushing title? Do you play him injured in the playoffs if he gets hurt. This is takes Madden to a whole new level for me.

Agreed. Things look very, very encouraging, but I'm holding any judgement until the game actually comes out.

But looking good thus far.

Still concerned about how some of the receivers seem to get stuck in between animations, and I want to know how much Franchise has been improved (this is key for me), but things have looked good so far.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

I've been thinking about online franchise and there is one issue that I see that may be a problem - Trading/Transactions with computer controlled teams.

I can see these potential problems:

1. A human controlled team fleecing a computer controlled team in a trade.
2. A computer controlled team dropping a star player and a human controlled team picking him up.

Hopefully there are measures that EA takes to avert these issues. Here are my suggestions:

1. No trading between human and computer controlled teams. The only trades that are allowed are between human controlled teams.
2. A waiver system should be put in place just in case a computer controlled team drops a star player.

Hopefully these problems have already been addressed.

Thank you and Good Day.

I have a few friends who would play online franchise but don’t have a console to play it on. I think it will be great if you can have multiple people play online franchise on one console.

As I said in the other thread, I just don't have the time for an online franchise.

Three kids, wife and a career, playtime is very sparse for me.

I'm happy it's in for the people that enjoy it, though.

Everyone's life is different.

They wouldn't even tell us about this and still had clearly reworked A LOT of gameplay issues and presentation issues etc. etc. etc.

Working on online franchise doesn't take away anything from anywhere else.

I agree with the OP and I'm not a big online gamer at all. In fact, when you choose to get into an online franchise with friends or even strangers, you get to know those people pretty well and become a closer knit of friends... so if someone starts acting like a jackass, the commish can throw their *** out. But I don't think it'll come to blows like that as often as some might think because it's a more personal approach to online gaming. The reason why you have all these jackasses who play Madden is because they think they are anonymous. In online franchise, you can't afford to be anonymous or invisible because you'll need to interact with other players to get things done, like trading picks or players, for example.

im playing a game in my ncaa 09 OD right now, and u sr. are right, all the grief and gripes guys have about playing online in ncaa was washed away once online dynasty hit the scence, now everything is more "controlled" guys are very responsible (and im in 5 different OD's on ncaa) most of us have never met face to face but the amount of respect we all share is unbelieveable, in face if some are skeptic then i advise u to go and read some ofe the post in the OD forums, im in jdrhammer's sec dynasty, its soooooo fun, internet thugs will be a thing of the past as longas u have a kick a$$ commish' like we do in jd

I already have a good group of friends that will join me in a online franchise. Plus, another group of madden peeps from the VG Sports madden boards... so I'll probably jump in about 5 or 6 or more full online franchises throughout the year... or maybe just 2, and take them through several years..

definitely looking forward to it

When you work in the way most major game developers work, in order to make sure all assets operate properly online, you do have to employ folks of different talents within. At the very least you have Art and database working on it in different capacities... it has to be tested and QA'ed, too. So there is time and resource being taken away from other things where those resources would normally be allotted.

Anyway, I have no use for it myself and no real desire to get into it, but I think online franchise is a nice idea for the group of people who will use it. I just think the way EA implied the projection of its coverage in the trailer is incredibly ambitious at best, but that's marketing hype so I expected that.
