Most worries are coming from people that only play OFFLINE Franchise.... Which, they could have taken away from in order to build a functional Online Franchise.

No one is saying they did...yet.

Re: Finally...The Truth About Online Franchise

When you work in the way most major game developers work, in order to make sure all assets operate properly online, you do have to employ folks of different talents within. At the very least you have Art and database working on it in different capacities... it has to be tested and QA'ed, too. So there is time and resource being taken away from other things where those resources would normally be allotted.

Anyway, I have no use for it myself and no real desire to get into it, but I think online franchise is a nice idea for the group of people who will use it. I just think the way EA implied the projection of its coverage in the trailer is incredibly ambitious at best, but that's marketing hype so I expected that.

Re: Potential Online Franchise Problems /w Computer Controlled Teams?

The HUMAN commissioner has to approve all trades and transactions.

That's good. Has that been confirmed?

I'd really like a waiver feature though. It would bring a fantasy football-like aspect to the game.

Are you sure about transactions? That would mean you would be unable to sign free agents without the commish's say so. Then again we have no clue how the free agent part of the game is going to work out but still if they give that much power to a commish then thats just plan silly.

I think I read that all trades must be confirmed by the commish which is fine.

Re: Finally...The Truth About Online Franchise

If you get a group of guys that play realistic it will beat CPU gameplay hands down.
I've had the most fun ever in dynasty when playing NCAA dynasty online.

As far as the 32 player ability I'm not going to knock it. Yes most will have a hard time keeping it going but having the option is great. People don't show up you sim it or return it to CPU control(hopefully that's an option).
Either way if they had released it with 12 human capability like NCAA there would have been an uproar that you could only do 12.
So why not release it with the full 32, doesn't hurt anything.

Yep. Very excited for this.
