Offline yes. Online has not yet been confirmed. It would be sweet. But I doubt it. Since the commish of the league you was in would has to do the downloading from his harddrive from the games he played on his ncaa 10.

It could very well be possible though. Isnt just like downloading the roster from your comish in dynasty? If it is that simple then it sounds like it could be an easy thing to do.

I bet we will have to wait for a blog about online franchise in the following weeks before we know for sure if we can or cant.

I don't think it is even remotely safe to say. Most of those things in that video were already done in NFL 2k5. I'm not complaining, but I am just saying. I actually thought I was looking at 2k5 after a couple of the crowd shots. Can't be a bad thing.

The thing that made 2k5 great for presentation was that the transitions were smooth and perfect. If EA doesn't get that right, it will feel artificial.

I am excited but I am not crowning them until I see it live...

Hopefully we can. It would be sweet.

....But that doesn't really say too much...and I know Ian nips things in the bud pretty fast about certain "Exploits"/Design flaws/Bad Physics like with the FB Dive Blog he did waaaayyyy back, or like the WR running out of bounds on routes toward the sidelines, but nothing solidly about Rocket Catching....

I mean, its not like a deal breaker for me...but man I wish he and the team addressed it--or at least come out and say something about it, even if they couldn't get it figured out over before the final product in madden 10...

I just dont want to pop in my m10 on Aug 14th and have someone abusing me with that catch already and be caught off guard...
RC catch happens IRL though. I think thats why Ian has not said about removing it because it can happen IRL. The issue comes down to the physics. Players in M09 just stopped and went into an animation creating the issues with RC catch. Also, any player could do it, anyone remember the Oralndo Pace vids? If those to issues are fixed(which I am sure they will be) then RC should stay.

I say those issues would be fixed because of layered blending/pro tak tech that are allowing for greater transitions from each animation.

I know we both dont like to think about it but look at this years playoff run and look at the catchs Fitz made on our defences... Almost every single one was a RC

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to have online franchise. The presentation looks good, but it's the gameplay that made me want to snap Madden 09 in two everytime I played. Presentation was the appetizer, online franchise the dessert, now I just need my meat and potatoes.

Its funny how everyone wanted to eat the dessert first then ask questions about dinner later....

I have always put my list like this

1. Gameplay
2. Franchise(online offline make it amazing and I will be happy)
5. Presentation

What happened to 3 and 4? They are filled with gameplay and franchise again. Many of the issues I had with the game look fixed but there are a couple that I really hope get added. Like the arm tackles and making people miss in the open field or just adjusting your body and making a player take a bad angle. Fix those and add more animations as always and I would extremely happy.

Im not sure I even want to upload draft classes if they do not have pictures in Madden. I will take the Fake players w/ pictures rather than real rookies with a blank silhouette

Where is this confirmation on flak jackets?

I don't think so.

They did thicken up the midsections on the qb's a little though from the screens ive been seeing.

I understand what you are saying...but in order for EA to put 2k5 to rest, they have to first get to there level -- or at least attempt to match what they had, because for 4 straight year it looked as if EA didnt have a clue...

lol cant deny that...but Fitz was looking at the ball ....

The RC is just a user controlled stop and turning, and WR saying "Hey look what I found"...
...meanwhile the DB is like "WTF?"

..but i understand what your saying...but I just expected Ian to come out like he did with the FB Dive 'Bad Physics', and mention what corrections were made...

Thats the only reason it scares me...but we will see..

# 233 lolfalconsbeatu @ 06/02/09 02:21 AM
you have a valid point....gameplay has been really overshadowed by the awsome presentation they added, and pro-tak..but can we get anything on Rocket Catching? The fact that Rocket Catching specifically has been totally overshadowed really scares me, because as I mentioned in another thread, Ian nipped things right in the bud when starting the m10 blogs by addressing all the 'Bad Physics' and just overall m09 gameplay errors such as WR running Out of Bounds, FB Dive issues, and even WR/DB interation....but always seem to shy away from mentioning the Rocket Catch, and idk why...

Im not saying it should be totally removed...im just asking if they did anything...at all to improve the 'Bad Physics' of the Rocket Catch..or anything..

Its just weird they totally shy away from mentioning anything about it...

None of this has anything to do with this thread.

I probably wouldn't do online franchise without the ability to use ncaa draft classes. Im assuming it will be included.

jukman, all i'm saying is that I hope that the gameplay issues I had are fixed. the customization and online things I wanted are in,so if the issues from '09 are fixed(and hopefully from the dev. blogs they are),this will be the Madden we've all be waiting for....i'm just hoping to see some great gameplay reviews from all the guys(IGN,Gamespot,Pasta..etc)we listen to from E3 this week....no bashing at all...

KANE,my bad,i guess the beef in the middle looked like flak jackets bro,my bad.

Most of the time you get a pro-tak gang tackle blog, they try to bring out out by using a bigger/more physical running back, like Jacobs, Marion Barber, or Michael Turner where its more likely a gang takle will need to be performed to get these dudes down, because thats often how it is in real life....

As for more elusive backs like Bush, Norwood, Portis, ect...you wont need those gang tackles..

There is already far more than I expected included in online franchise. I would not put it past them this time that it is included. It may be something they are still ironing out but I feel good about it.
