Madden 2010 News Post

Peter Moore has posted the first screenshot of Madden NFL 10.

Quote:
"While we have a number of announcements and updates to come over the next several weeks leading up to next month's NFL Draft, I'm excited to debut the first screenshot from this year's game right here this week. The old adage says, "A picture is worth a thousand words", and that is certainly true in this fantastic shot. How many improvements can you pick out? The Madden dev team will call each one out in their blog later this week."

Sorry, but I am calling BS that this is an in-game photo from Madden 2010.

This reminds of the preview video a few years back for the first next gen video that featured the Philadelphia Eagles. It turned out when Madden came out the graphics were nothing like those featured in the preview video.

Hopefully, I am wrong but I doubt it.

I just noticed they forgot Laboy's long hair too.
yea half sleeves would be cool.

Ditto. Especially A and B. Those are the biggest questions I have left about them.

You just stated that the DT should sack the QB, but you really have no lcue what happened after that screen or what is truly going on in it. In the newest screenshot from Ian, it may look like the DT and OG are jockeying for advantage but it could just as well be a pre-rendered animation sequence that the user has no cotrol over. honestly now that the old pic has been posted the new screen shot, although it does have many more features, is not too much better than what we have seen.

Uh, yes it is. In the old screenshot the OL and DL are parallel to the QB and there is no semblance of an attempt to make a pocket. You can tell by his stance that the OL is trying to create space around the center. Big difference right there.

what are you talking about dude, I don't even need the facts to know 100% without a doubt these are realtime in game screen shots.

It wouldn't quite be an OS thread without the appearance of both some notable and yet also some unfamiliar Debbie Downers...

I agree the ball is still slightly big but we actually even reduced it in size almost 10% this year. Here it is in Madden NFL 09:

(sorry, couldn't find a pro comparison image)

Here's a better comparison for you Ian.

To my knowledge thats never been fixed
Unfortunately, I don't know if there's any plans to fix that. Most people don't comment on it, but it's a personal gripe of mine.

Andy likes what he sees

Ben hasn't been that skinny since 8th grade tho

Other than that, not to many negatives can be taken away from this photo(Steelers, shiny helmet? boo that) but what is shown is impressive

Wherever there is light there is also a shadow.

Unfortunately.

I posted a picture a couple pages back because the gloves are also that color.

If that dude was so good at individual player tuning he would know that Ben is a bit thicker, wears his towel in the front instead of to the side, and has much bigger shoulder pads.

Snap.

It is true Ben does wear some GIANT shoulder pads but overall on player models in this screen I think its a fantastic upgrade.

Yay, my fail is no longer the most epic in this thread!

I find it amusing that I, one of the most optimistic people on this, or any, site, have been repeatedly roasted in this thread for being negative? :P Spent the last year fighting off accusations of sucking up... can't win for trying
