Re: How is your dynasty going

Started an Arizona State dynasty on All-American. I won 49-39 week 1 against Wisconsin. For the first three quarters the game was way too easy but the Badgers very nearly completed the comeback. I'm switching to Heisman, ten minute quarters.

Annoyed a bit that there were 3 schools for 6 guys, but whatever. Don't know what happens to the other guy. Now, my options are going to Clemson, staying at UNLV, going to Alabama, or Bowling Green (probably this one). I'll mull it over. Opinions?

Season 1, Game 6:

After a huge win on the road against Georgia Tech, coach Bobby Lamb took his Mercer Bears on the road to face off against the Troy Trojans in the inaugural Sun Belt Conference game for the young Bears.

Mercer kept the game close until the late 3rd quarter, when Troy pulled away for the 28-14 victory thanks to timely first downs and big drives behind Corey Robinson's 281 yards and 2 TD's, most of which came in the second half.

The Bears managed to outgain the Trojans (391 yds to 325 yds) but the offensive live giving up 6 sacks proved to be too detrimental to overcome. QB John Russ had a great day throwing the football (24-37 for 315 yds) but fumbled in the opponents rezone late in the first half, which was the teams only turnover. WR Jordan Marshall caught 8 passes for 94 yards for his best game of the year after a rough start to the season.

Offensive coordinator Brad Gibbs did his best to get Jabari Scruggs involved early, but the pace of the game got ahead of the Trojans and the talented running back finish the day with 73 yards on 15 carries.

After a tough loss, the Mercer Bears (4-2, 60 ovr) head into a much needed bye week before going on the road again to take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (7-1, 79 ovr).

Duke Johnson is a beast with his speed so its not hard for him to win the heisman. I won back to back heismans with him so far.

Re: How is your dynasty going

Started up a dynasty with Michigan, updates to come later. Because I can't stand playing against my beloved UConn, I changed that game to a neutral site game with Georgia at the Georgia Dome.

My UConn dynasty is in the offseason of year 1 right now.

Previously at NC State

So as of my last post the big question was will J.Bader be back as HC of NC State? Well no good offers came along so J.Bader did return. It was an interesting year. Game one was against Alabama. A losing effort to start the year off. Next up was Tennessee a game which saw the packs first win of 2018. Then it was off to Wisconsin. We stopped the run and ran away with a win. So now it was on to conference play. We had no running game up to this point but a few changes on the line worked out as we beat Pitt by running for over 200 yards. The rest of the season was wins. We ended up ranked #3 as we set up to play #23 ranked Wake Forest in the final season game. We barley won as we couldnt stop the option.

Still ranked #3 we faced off against #11 GT in the ACC Champ game. #2 Ohio state played #17 Wisc in the Big ten champ game. My hope was a Ohio lose and a WolfPack win. Well It worked out that way but #4 Alambama beat #6 Kentucky which bolted them into #2 and left the Pack #3. Again we would have to settle for the Orange Bowl.

Feeling screwed out of a national championship for the second Straight year, we would settle for the Orange Bowl against #6 Army.

We destroyed Army and won the Orange Bowl and would finish the season 13-1 Ranked #2, Alabama finished #1 (12-2).

Season Recap
Spoiler

So time for the offseason, and the question once again is will J.Bader be back........

I hope to win back to back as well, but I was wondering how many broken tackles you guys have? 4 was the lowest number by far, and the computer breaks 4 tackles a drive lol. Just wondering how many you guys usually have.

Senior QB Teddy Bridgewater set the single game passing touchdown mark, six, today against a struggling Illinois defense that has played terrible this season. The Cardinals offense scored 35 points in the first half making this game one of those “wood shed” type of games. The starters were pulled mid way through the 3rd quarter while the backups got some mop up duty. Sophomore(rs) QB Will Gardner threw for 2tds of his own. After the game OC Tony McDaniel was asked about the 14 points his offense scored in the 4th quarter including 1 passing td by Gardner.

My job is to call plays for our team. It is not my job to make sure the opposing teams defense can stop the plays I call. I had guys in the game that have a chance of starting next year for us so I need to see them run certain things to better evaluate them. Will is going to be our starter so I want to give him some opportunities to throw the ball. He threw 4 passes and found the end zone on 2, so I say good for him. If the coaches and fans on that other sideline don’t like getting scored on then do your job. My is to call the best offensive play for our guys at the time it is called. Their job is to stop the play I call. Today I did a better job then they their DC did.

The Big Ten is known for its huge road games that can truly teas any team. Louisville traveled to Columbus, OH to take on Ohio State in yet another important Big Ten game. The Buckeyes enter the game ranked #16 in the nation and in position to Legends division, while Louisville is looking to stay within a game of Wisconsin who is a game better than Louisville in the Leaders division. From the start this was a shootout, the first half alone featured 6 touchdowns and a field goal. Louisville held to a 24-21 lead at the half. Ohio State received the ball to start the second half and senior QB Braxton Miller drove his team down field on a long drive that ended with a 7yd Smith touchdown run giving Ohio State the lead. The lead would not last long as senior QB Teddy Bridgewater answered the coaches challenge for halftime to lead his team on 3 scoring drives in the 3rd quarter, 2tds and 1fg. Taking a 41-21 point lead into the 4th quarter, Louisville was looking to play ball control. The Cardinals held the ball for over 4:00 while driving the ball inside the 30yd line but a rare missed field goal by junior(rs) kicker John Wallace gave Ohio State new hope. Miller led his team on a quick scoring drive to pull within 6 points. The next position ended on a Bridgewater INT to sophomore corner Eli Apple. The Cardinal defense would force Miller into a turnover on downs. The Cardinals were able to hold the ball to the clock struck zeros.

Louisville will now return home to face #13 Wisconsin next week in what could be the Leaders division title game. Look for Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium to be packed and loud for this one.
