Wyoming Dynasty Year 8 Week 8, 2020

With a strong defensive performance, the #3 Wyoming Cowboys defeated #18 Wisconsin, 21-7. The Badgers out gained Wyoming in yards (257 to 228) but could not get into the endzone. The Cowboys defense forced 11 sacks and forced a fumble. DT #94 Leon Patterson had 4 sacks, and MLB #52 Tim Gibson lead the team with 9 tackles, 4 TFL, and 3 sacks. The D was delivering big hits all game long.

QB #19 Jamaal Williams had just 2 incompletions, both were interceptions. He threw for 1 TD and also rushed for a score. HB #25 Rodney Hopkins had a solid game with 103 yards and 1 rushing TD including a nice 62 yard touchdown run. WR #10 Leon Robbins caught 6 passes for 117 yards and 1 TD.

The win moved Wyoming to the #2 spot after #1 Georgia Tech, who looked invincible, slipped up and lost to unranked Maryland 38-17! #18 Wisconsin fell to #21 after the loss. #2 Notre Dame (7-0), lead by Heisman favorite Senior QB Will Nunez, is now holding the #1 spot ahead of Wyoming.

Next week the Cowboys travel to West Virginia to face the (3-3) Mountaineers.

It was a great week for recruiting, as several recruits were in attendance to see Wyoming defeat Wisconsin.

The following recruits have committed over the weekend:

82 OVR TE
81 OVR OLB
79 OVR SS
79 OVR WR
78 OVR DE

The Cardinals traveled to Huntington, WV to take on the Thundering Herd of Marshall. This game marks a rematch for OC Tony McDaniel who lost in OT last year while serving as the OC at UAB. McDaniel made sure to start quick and never let up. Teddy Bridgewater started his 2014 Heisman campaign off with a solid performance. Senior tailback Michael Dyer rushed for 143yds providing balance to the offense. The Louisville defense held senior QB Rakeem Cato to only 179yds. This was a perfect start on the road to a National Championship for the Cardinals who will be at home next week to face in-state rival Kentucky.

The battle for the “Blue Grass” state for the 2014-2015 season was won by the Cardinals in convincing fashion. Kentucky entered the game looking for their first win of the season and hopping that they could knock off the 7th ranked Louisville Cardinals. Late in the first quarter senior QB Teddy Bridgewater had to leave the game with a leg injury and on the opening drive senior WR Eli Rogers injured his shoulder knocking him out for the game as well. Enter sophomore(rs) QB Will Gardner who took command of the offense all day. Senior(rs) tailback Dominique Brown was a man running with something to prove ending the day with 142yds and 1td. Kentucky’s QB Max Smith played very well throwing for 351yds and 3tds but it was the Kentucky defense who could not stop this powerful offense of Louisville. For the next 364 days Louisville can tell every in-state recruit that they are the best in the state.

Re: How is your dynasty going

The 2013-2014 UConn season ends with a loss to Oregon in the Rose Bowl. 6 turnovers buried the Huskies in the 51-38 loss. UConn ends the season 12-1 with a top 5 ranking. In other news, coach of the year Paul Pasqualoni signs a 2 year extension to remain in East Hartford/Storrs.

My recruiting class is in the top 15, and I have a 3* prospect still unsigned. I've been in a recruiting battle for 6 weeks or so.

I'm think of starting up another dynasty, but I'm not sure on the team. I'll decide soon.

If you enjoy tons of passing and scoring then this game was for you. Michigan traveled to Louisville for the Cardinals first Big Ten conference game and walked out with a victory. Michigan’s senior QB Devin Gardner pilled up yards on his way to a 540yd day and the B1G offensive player of the week honors. All day long the Cardinals running backs struggled for yards on the ground forcing OC Tony McDaniel to lean on his senior All-American Teddy Bridgewater. A late 4th quarter touchdown tied the game up but Devin Gardner led his team down the field with less than a minute to go to get into field goal range but freshman kicker Jason Reynolds missed a 31yd to win the game as time expired. In OT the Michigan defense stopped Louisville forcing them into a 49yd field goal which was missed by Wallace. Michigan converted a 3rd and long to get the ball inside the 5yd line. Gardner gave the ball to Rawls who ran over a Louisville defender on his way to his third touchdown of the day and ending the game. Louisville will look to rebound against struggling Minnesota next week.

This game was closer than the experts thought it would be leaving Vegas bookies very angry. Louisville should have rolled into Minnesota with ease but 3 straight drives ending in Bridgewater ints in the 1st half allowed Minnesota to stay close. After a halftime talk with his OC, Tony McDaniel, Bridgewater settled down and lead his team to victory. Late 4th quarter tds by Dominique Brown and Bridgewater on long runs ensured Louisville their first Big Ten victory and a future answer to a trivia question one day. Louisville will return home to face 5-0 Penn State it what will be a classic Big Ten match up.

BG710, do you just recruit your needs and for depth or do you try to use all 25 scholarships no matter what?

Nebraska Escapes Rutgers with Close 27-24 Win

After two weeks off #3 Nebraska came into their Big Ten opener a little rusty and almost fell victim to an upset. Although Rutgers was unable to get into the endzone in the 1st half they went into the locker room trailing only 17-10 thanks to an interception returned for a touchdown.

The second half would turn out to be a defensive struggle as neither team mustered much yardage. At the end of the third quarter Nebraska led the Scarlet Knights 20-10. Rutgers would try and mount a comeback as Senior QB Gary Nova led Rutgers all the way down inside the 5 where on 3 and goal from the 3 he found pay dirt himself with TD run to make it 20-17 halfway through the 4th.

QB Tommy Armstrong Jr would not let his two earlier interceptions faze him as he led the Huskers offense down the field where he found his tight end Sam Cotton for a 17 yd scoring strike to increase the lead to 27-17. Rutgers would find the endzone once again with less than 2 minutes to go but a failed onside kick attempt would seal their fate as the Huskers escaped Piscataway with a close win.

Tune in next Saturday as Nebraska invades Happy Valley to face Penn State in what should be a thrilling Big Ten contest.
