First game with UNLV is at Arizona at night; they have Ka'deem Carey as the #2 in the preseason heisman watch. As a team, I am expected to finish 3rd in my division, an have only one preseason all-conference player, my tight end. My wideouts are decent as well, so expect a bunch of passing this year from the rebels!

The 2015 edition of the Red River Rivalry can only be described as an Classic(680). It match the #2 Texas Longhorns vs the #12 Oklahoma Sooners in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX. The defenses for both teams came to play early as an OU FG was the only source of scoring in the 1st quarter.

But the 2nd quarter would see it's share of BIG plays starting with the 1st play of the quarter Texas true Freshman QB David Nealy would toss a 5-yd TD to James Butler to give the Longhorns a 7-3 lead. Trevor Knight would quickly lead the Sooners down the field to regain the lead at 10-7 after a 10-yd strike to Trey Metoyer. But the Longhorns would respond on two straight possessions David Nealy would throw his 2nd and 3rd TD passes a 28 yarder to Kendall Sanders and a 22 yarder to Freshman WR Chris Godwin. Texas would lead 21-10 but Oklahoma was able to connect on a 49-yd FG to end the half down 21-13.

OU received the 2nd half kickoff and with a methodical drive tacked on another FG from 22 yards out. The Sooner defense would stiffen as Eric Striker would jolt the ball loose from Nealy causing the fumble which was recovered by Mike Onuoha.

As the 4th quarter started OU would use the momentum of the fumble to regain the lead after Knight's toss off the option to Alex Ross who took it 22 yards to the house and after the successful 2-point conversion OU was up 24-21. It didn't take Texas long to go back ahead after two quick strikes from Nealy the first a 36-yd fade route to Marcus Johnson then finally the TD a 29-yd rope to the Senior wideout Cayleb Jones. Texas lead 28-24 and the Longhorns defense would cause a turnover on downs after Knight was sacked for the 5th time by Shiro Davis who had a Career day. Texas' offense took advantage of the short field and cashed in on a 6-yd run by Jonathan Gray to extend the lead to 35-24 with 1:59 to play.

OU would not go quietly as Trevor Knight marched the Sooners down the field with quick slant routes over the middle to position OU in scoring position. Knight threw his second TD to his Freshman TE Adam Bennett. Another successful 2-point conversion had OU within a FG at 35-32, but they would need to recover an onside kick. The hands team for the Longhorns would not let that happen as Sanders who earlier caught a TD would seal the victory for Texas by recovering the last ditch effort from OU.

Final Score Texas 35 Oklahoma 32

Stats
David Nealy (Texas) 26-33-381-4-1
Trevor Knight (OU) 33-46-394-2-0

Next up for the Longhorns is a revenge game vs their Rival Baylor 3-3 who cost the Longhorns a spot in the BCS Championship Game last season after a last second FG gave Baylor the 34-31 upset victory over the then #1 Longhorns.

The first day of November welcomed in snow for the Louisville area making the Cardinals-Badger game one to watch. Both teams were fighting for control of the Big Ten Leaders division, which was announced earlier this week will be renamed. Louisville is able to jump out to a 14-0 lead by playing ball control offense but Wisconsin scored a late 1st quarter touchdown to get the snow ball rolling to end the first half in a 17-17 tie. The third quarter belonged to the Badgers who increased their lead to 31-20 entering the fourth. Louisville scored on a long td pass from Bridgewater to Harris to pull within 3 after a successful 2pt conversion. Wisconsin would answer with a touchdown of their own by the All-American tailback Melvin Gordon on the ground, his second of the day. Louisville answered back with a 9yd touchdown pass to senior(rs) WR Matt Milton making the score 38-35 Badgers. With more than 4:00 to go in the 4th Joel Stave hit running back Melvin Gordon for a 73yd catch and run touchdown giving the Badgers a 45-35 lead with 3:30 left in the game. Knowing his team needed a touchdown, senior QB Teddy Bridgewater picked apart the Badger D on his way to a scoring drive ending on his 8yd touchdown run after he decided to pull the ball down when his receivers seemed to be all covered. The Louisville defense would have to make a stop so the offense would have enough time to score and they recorded their first 3 and out of the second half. Bridgewater would have the ball and 1:36 to go 80yds. Just like on the last scoring drive Bridgewater began to pick apart the Badger secondary hitting senior WR Eli Rogers on 3 straight plays, a combination that was working all game long. With the ball inside the 10yd line and the clock running under 0:20 now, OC Tony McDaniel called a power dive to senior halfback Dominique Brown who turned the play into a 6yd touchdown run giving the Cardinals a 49-45 lead with 0:09 left in the game. Stave and the offense would get one last shot but as time expired Stave threw a pick to senior CB Terell Floyd ending the game in grand fashion. The cold Cardinals fans who packed Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium might have saw the second greatest game every played on the field out side of the FSU game several years ago in the monsoon.

Next week the Cardinals travel to much warmer weather to take on FIU in Boca Raton, FL.

Here's a mid-season update of year 2 of my dynasty. Started off as a OC at Tulane and I'm now the OC at Nebraska.

Halfway through the season the Cornhuskers sit at 5-1(2-1) coming off a 37-30 loss to Ohio State. First year starter Tommy Armstrong Jr has had an up and down season at QB but is ranked in the top 20 nationally in passing yards. In his last game he really came out of his shell, threw for 354 yards and 2 TDs and rushed for 63 yards and 2 more TDs. Senior HB Ameer Abdullah has had a special season with 978 yards rushing so far. Had 200 yard rushing games vs FAU, Miami, and Fresno State. Currently 4th in the Heisman watch. As a unit the offense is currently #1 in offense and #26 in points scored per game.

Next game vs #3 Wisconsin, huge game that could decide who wins the Big Ten West!

Hmm he's not really a big dude so I guess that's that. Last season i had 15 broken tackles with him, I bet most of those were when I do the juke animation and the defender dives and misses me and Duke goes into the stumbling motion which I recover from and keep running.
