Agreed, especially at night. I was there opening weekend and I think it's a mix of the grass against the kelly green outfield wall and the LED lighting, but it's definitely a neon-ish green.

Heh, my friend and I used to gun each other down on base hits to RF all the time. We'd get so mad (in a fun, not serious way). Good times.

FWIW, the Show has/had the same issue. It was solved by simply not letting the 1B cover the bag after a hit to right. Nice ingenious little fix that did nothing to hurt the realism of the game and didn't break anything else.

Yes ok, i mean the balance is now broken.
It is difficult for me to write in english, sorry for that.

As for power, hits seem weaker now then pre-patch but too early to tell.

Was this online or offline? According to patch notes they fixed it for online. Offline the only thing mentioned was opposite field home runs.

Just like it did pre patch. Which I had no qualms with.

Hit 3 bombs with Sanchez, Judge, and hit Holiday’s 300th....in Boston which was pretty sweet.

Game is awesome. Patch is great except for the sound of the ball off the bat which I believe is simply an unintended consequence of this patch and I believe will be fixed in a future update.

It can’t be intentional. I can’t believe they felt this is what they wanted....dear no. A audio wire got criss-crossed.

The differences between the difficulties from Rookie to Legend was better before the patch 1.04.
Before, the own mistakes for example Veteran are surly OK, i accepted.
And if i feel my play is good, a Homerun was makeable.
Now i play with bunt weapons with player upper than 90 Power and/or Contact.
Often Flyballs are the result or the outfielder too easy catch the Balls, ( Rookie and Veteran )
For MP Online Play i dont know, perhaps ok. But if you play offline, only against the AI, than i look for the fairness.
I search for this problem and find over google the Changelog 1. Post.

I'm about to start the NLCS in my franchise it's a second year carryover where I've played every pitch so I have a lot of time invested. This patch may be okay or maybe not but I'd just like to keep things where they are for now. My question is, is there a way to finish this season without downloading the patch? I think my patches have always downloaded automatically. I was on taking BP against Kershaw this morning and I hope it hasn't already installed.

With 1.04, San Diego Studio change the Homerun against the Flyball.

OOOOH, the AI makes 2 Runs in the 8th Inning ?? What a fortune...

Play i Legend? Oh no, Veteran..

I had too many HR's for sure as I was averaging a hair over 2 per game prior to the patch but now the hitting feels weaker, more pop outs and when you really get a hold of a pitch it sounds no different then if I were to hit a weak grounder for an easy out.
Yea, that's very noticeable.

All this talk of HR's being an issue for people...you do realize that homeruns are up across the league, this year and last. The trend is shifting, so I have no problem with them at all. Honestly, I'm thankful considering my offense has been abysmal the last few years in my franchise.

Offline, well they need to fix it and I got no idea why they wouldn't have fixed it for offline if they did for online. It's a little ridiculous when the ball is right in front of the catcher but a guy with sub 60 speed takes off and is safe by a mile because the catcher seems to take his sweet time fielding it and throwing it down there.

Becuase you lost a lead in the 8th inning?

I dont mind more HR's at all. But 11 in one game by one team with the sliders toned down...yeah, kind of a problem

I had 1.04 download and I also had 1.07 download. Whats in 1.07?

Disregard and remove please. There is no 1.07. I wasnt paying attention and it is a different game. My bad.

The question is: are the devs intentionally trying to replicate increased home run numbers, or are they intentionally trying to replicate typical numbers over the last 5-10 years?

You can't have it both ways, and there's no point in asking people if they realize what you're saying until we confirm what the devs are actually trying to accomplish.

YES! YES! YES!

They finally addressed the issue with starting pitchers getting pulled too early! I can finally start my franchise! Super pumped. Thanks for listening guys!

Seems someone hasn't read the thread.

I agree but perhaps it isn't as simple as plugging the same code into both offline and online. I posted earlier in this thread my theory on why some big problems don't get fixed. With only 1 programmer assigned to franchise and all the "stuff" they have added the programmer is overwhelmed. They need to cease adding gimmicks and focus on the core game.

A great example is quick counts. People are upset because quick counts doesn't seem realistic. There is no such thing as quick counts IRL but people expect it to be realistic and the programmer has to spend time fixing something which prevents the programmer from working on the core game.

Runners advancing on wild pitches
Balls curving exaggeratedly foul
Overpowered infielders

That would be a good start but I'd be very surprised if it gets fixed.

It's fine to replicate real life but balls were carrying and going distances that are unrealistic. The longest homer this year has been 463 feet. I've hit probably 10 so far that are longer than that.
