I agree but perhaps it isn't as simple as plugging the same code into both offline and online. I posted earlier in this thread my theory on why some big problems don't get fixed. With only 1 programmer assigned to franchise and all the "stuff" they have added the programmer is overwhelmed. They need to cease adding gimmicks and focus on the core game.

A great example is quick counts. People are upset because quick counts doesn't seem realistic. There is no such thing as quick counts IRL but people expect it to be realistic and the programmer has to spend time fixing something which prevents the programmer from working on the core game.

Runners advancing on wild pitches
Balls curving exaggeratedly foul
Overpowered infielders

That would be a good start but I'd be very surprised if it gets fixed.

It's fine to replicate real life but balls were carrying and going distances that are unrealistic. The longest homer this year has been 463 feet. I've hit probably 10 so far that are longer than that.

I apologize for posting in the wrong thread, but for some reason all I'm allowed to do is reply and not to create a new thread.

Here's my issue: I am seeing absolutely zero injuries in franchise mode, and I cannot find where I might have switched injuries off. The only injury toggle I can find is manual/auto for roster management regarding injured players. I'm sure I'm missing something very obvious, but I can't find it. Thanks for any help.

Few things post patch :

Matte helmets have been added for the teams that changed this year

The bat sound for me hasn't changed.

I have a game going Orioles at Rangers. CPU vs CPU. Default sliders. Chris Davis just hit a home run onto the roof in RF at Globe Life with a distance of 476 ft.

Well I wouldn't classify QC as a gimmick, I used it the first year it was introduced and enjoyed it but went back to playing a full game since then.

I can't stress it enough, they need to fix the wild pitch issue coupled with the catcher showing zero interest in actually recovering the ball and gunning down the runner. I've thrown 7 wild pitches in the 14 innings I've pitched post patch which is odd since I threw 11 in the previous 13 games before today. Now my results on the offensive side could be the ebb and flow of a baseball season, time will tell having said that my offense certainly feels neutered all of a sudden and it's hard to ignore that it didn't start until that patch downloaded this morning.

On a side note, is there a way to delete the patch like you can in other games?

Quick counts is not a gimmick at all. It's a FEATURE that allows for a different way to play the game. It's no more a "gimmick" than Manage only mode. It's a very useful feauture that allows some of us with limited time to get in a 9 inning game while getting the feel and stats associated with a regular full count game. Without this I wouldn't play the game nearly as much so I pray they don't ditch this feature in future iterations.
