Something is very wrong here.

This is why Patches can be bad too. I heard zero issues with the ball off the bat pre-patch and post patch every single it sounds like a weak contact broken bat hit.

This will have to be patched on the next one. It's off, it's wrong and not right.

This is an example of unintentional consequences of a patch. I can’t even imagine this was intentional. But they had to have heard this right? I mean in testing before you release this you had to have hear hit after hit after hit.

Please fix this. It’s a huge mistake.

Are you saying there's a new ball-bat sound problem, or is it just as weak as before?
There was nothing wrong with it pre patch. And this is what causes them to go in and fix something that was not broken to begin with and now we have this.

I don’t understand why it was changed to this.

A long list is created about what is "wrong" with the game and then a patch drops and it can easily swing things a touch further in the opposite direction. Then the people who were OK with the game become disappointed/unhappy. Guess I'll find out when I get off work in about 3 hours.

I just smoked Boston 7-2. Hitting is not an issue.

It is simply an audio issue.

Honestly, I have to think this is a result of nerfing the power. Maybe they changed the default level of solid hits, so now everything sounds like a weaker hit than it did before? The ball certainly seems to be coming off weaker as well but that might be just perception because of the sound? But I'm feeling a real lack of clean contact

15 games played pre patch and didn't see the problem. I don't use QC, maybe the problem is with QC.

Couldn't agree more. Posted similar response just before you did. I LOVED the game presentation exactly the way that it was. I could see an issue with Homeruns being a touch too frequent or distance too long....but it wasn't enough to even bother me.

Put solid hits to 10 and tell me if the sound changes.

I doubt it will.

I really believe this is an audio issue only.

I haven't played post-patch yet but from what I'm reading I have a hunch that the old wav sound possibly contributed to some lockup freezes.

Based on the comments above, I'm wondering if I'm even going to download the patch. All I play is rtts but if this stuff affects offline play I think I might pass?

MVP Baseball 04 - some ball trajectory calculation errors for Left handed hitters, could only hit a home run if it was a line drive down the line
Ha! My favorite "realism" from MVP Baseball was being able to have the RF throw out a runner at 1st base on a hit to right field regardless of the speed of the runner.

Hope that's the case for sure. I'll be able to play and get a feel for it in a bit. Posts making me nervous....ha.... as I'm really enjoying game. I can live with the audio if that's the case....will just have to crank up spotify to keep from becoming irritated.

I guess ill ask the million dollar question.... do we download the patch or just let the game play the way it was prior....

Game is fantastic bro....keep playing.

They will fix this on the next update. Not even sweating it. I don’t like it....but I am living with it right now. I crushed some bombs over the monster......and it id not bother me then. LOL.

Still haven't seen anyone post anything related to manager interaction and player progression in RTTS....may take some time. Still real curious though what this affected.

It's a theory.
I still managed to hit my customary HR for the game with Valencia which was belt high, 400+ foot HR, and it sounded like I barely made contact with the ball honestly.

I had too many HR's for sure as I was averaging a hair over 2 per game prior to the patch but now the hitting feels weaker, more pop outs and when you really get a hold of a pitch it sounds no different then if I were to hit a weak grounder for an easy out.
