Wouldnt it be great if the radio highlight show had Soup, Wonder Dog, Psycho and Karros doing radio bits?

lol I can see the SDS office wastebaskets now, not getting emptied because the cleaning crew was too busy working on rosters and lineups.

I want to use theme 1 and 2 occasionally so MLBN will stay fresh but its going to be impossible to give up Showcast to do that.

This is why I'm glad that not all games in franchise mode will use the MLB Network presentation. It will stay fresh throughout the season.

Yeah i've been noticing this too, some under armour batting gloves have been shown, but a lot of under armour athletes have generic batting gloves on.

I think this is probably just because they haven't implemented all the new equipment into the game yet, which would also explain why they didn't go through equipment during the little things stream and only brands.

This also leaves a little hope that adidas batting gloves got in the game as well since we haven't seen any yet.

Yeah they are in there because in one of the earlier videos Francisco Lindor is wearing the new UA spotlights (although now Frankie is with New Balance and Franklin). But I hope it's just a matter of them not wanting us to see all of the new equipment yet. I hope adidas batting gloves made it in as well as mizuno fielding gloves.

Anybody know if they revamped the post game show and in game home run call back commentary? I would hate for it to come back the same since both were basically the same every game last version.

Don't know about callbacks, but they did mention on the presentation stream that they re-worked outros (aka post-game). I doubt it's any kind of elaborate show - they would have shown off something like that. But we should see some differences.

I don't remember where in the stream they talked about this, though. Anyone know? It was quick, and it was just talk while something else was on-screen (probably during the gameplay section).

I have only a guess, but with Reynolds and Plesac replacing Karros and Psycho, that would lead me to believe Matty had to get some work in also. At least I hope so.

Sorry if I mentioned this before as I can't remember if I posted this or not but SCEA... seriously? I'm as in love with your game as anyone but this is going to be a huge eyesore for me. For years now SCEA has left the fence (where you can see from the street into Wrigley) in the game although its been gone for a few years in real life. Us Cubs fans have pointed this out and SCEA finally addressed it... but this is what they did?

I'm still going to hold out a little hope that this looks better once it's released. If they would simply make it so that it doesn't run up to the exposed bricks that would help a lot. I fully expect the next comment about this to be that I'm making a big deal out of nothing. But for someone that will play 81+ games a year at Wrigley and see plenty of balls go over that fence, ugh, it sure is ugly.

Ok when did you start working with Kirby and sitting in on the hours upon hours of recording sessions with Matt?

Speaking of Wrigley, the Rizzo home run they show us lands well over 500 feet, and looks like it hits short of the buildings. The closest building down the right field line in reality is less than 460 feet away. In fact, you don't even reach 500-foot territory until the red building next to the one with the Harry Caray face on it, out in RCF.

Just saying that any ball landing 500 feet away down the right field line either hits the building itself or goes on top of it. Guess the buildings might not have any collision detection attached to them, unless I saw it incorrectly.

Not that we'd be hitting 500+ foot bombs anyway, but I mean hey... they have collision detection for the Marlins scoreboard haha!

And believe me or not, but in HRD I have hit it off of the lights in the Marlins (LF) and Astros (RF) stadiums before. I don't think they'll have tags for them, but I love to try and do that kind of stuff in these games.

Couple the fact that the guys just spoke over the game, and the moments we heard Matt speak, i just got the impression they barely added any significant dialogue changes to him. Intro was the same, his play calls were the same..honestly nothing exciting from Matt's end. His voice and tone is still stale!
Did you catch the part about them re-doing almost all of Vasgersian's walk-ups (when batters step up to the plate)? Or are you purposefully trying to be difficult?

Even with hundreds/thousands of new lines, the library of Matt's lines are so extensive that it's difficult to make a dent in a single dev cycle. The irony here being that some people (not most, but some) say his lines are stale even though there are so many thousands upon thousands of them in the game already, that their presence dilutes the frequency with which you hear new ones--certainly we'd need to listen to more than one game to make any solid conclusions? I think Matt Vasgersian is quite good in the game as a commentator and I really don't get why people need to make dozens of posts about this when they've been told that he's not going anywhere. And with good reason, because he's the best man for the job.

I thought the commentary stream itself was quite good, but then again, unlike some frequently disgruntled posters in these threads, I am not hellbent on complaining about everything I can possibly complain about no matter what. Let's not even mention the fact about adding 2 entirely new commentators from scratch for this cycle, lol. This provides some needed context for all of these complaints.

Constructive criticism is one thing. But, posting the same things (often with an erroneous or speculative premise) over and over with no ideas presented on how to improve it is frankly a waste of bandwidth. It borders on spam, imo.

I don't understand how many times you guys need to be warned before complying. This thread is about presentation and commentary. Multiple warnings have been given.

Sorry, you're good posters but everyone has to follow the same rules.

What confused me was Steve made it seem that his thread was about much more than just commentary and presentation only.
Anyways, back on topic I hope Plesac get in a line or two about his horses.

Hi Ramone I have an honest question for you. You said there was hours upon hours of recording with Matty V so then why in the latest twitch stream does he still sound the same as he has for the past 10 plus years. And by that I mean no excitement, boring and out of touch with the other 2 commentators. Harold Reynolds and Dan plesac sound great and more natural and real where as Matty V still comes off sounding like he is just reading lines on a sheet of paper and robotic.

I hope I am wrong but from what my ears heard from the twitch stream and as of now that's all I can really go by it seems like the only new lines for Matty V are the batter home plate walk ups and maybe some for the showtrack stuff. Please do not take offense to what I am saying this is just one mans opinion. Perhaps my ears are hearing things differently then others do.

Hopefully it made it in for all stadiums but especially for the Green Monster.
The new tagging system is a different system than what we use to determine what sound the ball makes when bouncing off of a surface. We do have a metal bounce sound. It's up to the stadium team to use the correct surface type. If you show me exactly what part of the wall should be metal, I will look into it for next year if it hasn't already been addressed. Maybe also point me to the post you mention above.
