NBA 2K17 patch 1.05 is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Check out the patch notes below.

GENERAL
  • HDR support has been added for the PS4.
  • Support for the PS4 Pro has been added. NBA 2K17 will run at a native 4K resolution at 60 FPS on the Pro.
  • The Cleveland Cavaliers court floor has been updated to match their new 2016-17 design.
  • The Golden State Warriors uniforms now have the #42 patch in honor of the late Nate Thurmond.
  • Authenticity improvements to a large number of uniforms.
  • You can now use post-release uniforms in Play Now games when using a custom roster.
  • Post-release shoes will now dynamically appear in your game mode saves when starting a new mode or when using a custom roster created after October 15th.
  • Users now have the ability to toggle off the ‘Zoom in Paint’ camera option when using the default broadcast camera.
  • Fixed an issue where the user was unable to unequip certain animation types from their MyPLAYER.
  • The user can now unequip socks from their MyPLAYER.
  • Addressed an issue where controller settings would reset after played games online.
GAMEPLAY
  • Users will no longer be able to prolong MyTEAM Blacktop games by committing reach-in fouls.
  • The Jamal Crawford double behind-the-back combo size-up move now functions properly when equipped.
  • Aiming should now be much easier in the broadcast camera for users who use Pro Stick shot aiming.
  • Disabled shot timing for all shots (including layups, hooks, floaters and heaves) when Shooting Type is set to Real Player %.
  • Improvements to make catching short passes more reliable.
  • Dial back pass speeds (especially on longer passes) to achieve better game balance.
  • “Soften” top front rim ball bounces for more realistic physics-based outcomes.
  • Reduced the frequency of “ticky tack” shooting fouls on jump shots and layups.
  • Fixed illegal screens, which were not being triggered in the proper situations.
  • General improvements to responsiveness, primarily in offball motion.
  • Improvements to the CPU’s double team logic and general defensive AI decision making.
  • Addressed a visual issue that would sometimes cause hook shots to branch into jumpshot follow through landing poses.
MyPARK/2K PRO-AM
  • Teams in Rivet City are again able to grab a Got Next spot while a game is in progress.
  • Fixed a hang that occurred to some users when they were hopping from one MyPARK to another.
  • Fixed a number of camera-related issues when shooting free throws during Pro-Am games.
  • Addressed an issue where some users were unable to use their custom jumpshot in MyPARK.
  • When editing your Pro-Am court, the backboard logo and wall texture can now be switched back to none/blank.
  • You can now view the team rosters of each team directly from the Power Rankings menu in Pro-Am.
  • All of your teammates will now have a unique color indicator when playing Pro-Am.
  • Grand Badges will now appear on the 2K Card in both MyPARK and Pro-Am.
MyCAREER/MyCOURT
  • You can now skip through story scenes that you have already watched.
  • Fixed an issue that would result in the user being unable to play their next game in MyCAREER (a restart is required if you are affected by this).
  • Fixed a case where some users were not seeing triggered story scenes.
  • Fixed an issue where some MyCAREER sponsor contracts were not rewarding the user with the correct amount of VC.
  • Corrected an issue where you could not purchase/equip shoes from your new company when switching shoe endorsements.
  • Addressed an issue where the phone in MyCAREER would inform the user of a new message when that was not the case.
  • Fixed a case where the player would get stuck in the line during the Free Throw Golf drill in Live Practice when using specific signature animations.
MyGM/MyLEAGUE
  • Points of Emphasis have returned to the Gameplan feature! Note that these only affect simulation results.
  • The Advanced Rotations feature will now scale all rotations to work regardless of your chosen quarter length.
  • Fixed cases where some approved city names (e.g. Buffalo) were not being permitted through the content filter when moving your team to another city.
  • Fixed an issue where player attributes were being slightly modified when loading a draft class after the first season.
  • Injuries will now occur during head-to-head gameplay in MyLEAGUE Online.
  • Color improvements have been made to the Kansas City Knights uniform.
  • Fixed a hang that would occur when attempting to use SimCast on the Rising Stars game.
  • Expansion teams will no longer get unlimited funds in MyGM.
  • The NBA logo is now located in the correct spot on the shorts when creating a custom uniform.
  • Many other small bug fixes and adjustments were also made, game-wide.
NOTE: All patch fixes will work in your existing game mode saves unless noted otherwise.

oh, and moving screens are still there without a doubt. what i mean by moving screens is your player getting stuck on opposing players and getting dragged back from their man towards the basket.

some patch. it makes you think it was put together by the guy at the front desk - very unprofessional. no improvements, just slight differences that don't mean much in the grand scheme of things (what we've been bitching about since release). been buying at launch since 2k12, but that's not happening anymore. it's clear that their focus is on 2k18, and this patch did not get much time or resources dedicated to it. man, what a big disappointment - you would think that 2k would make things right after the incredibly flawed release this year.

oh, and fast breaks are still a mess. your teammates will run to the 3 point line on a 2 on 1 or 3 on 1 - they will even cut in front of you in YOUR lane it's ridic. cpu speed boosts still there as well.

now i realize i only had one game, but the main gameplay issues that have been talked about by the masses here are still obviously there. it's just so apparent.

passing does feel better though. oh boy, right!
Completely agree!!!

Fastbreaks more like brokebreaks.

CPU called one timeout the entire game, CPU players were tired but not missing. My players are good, shooting airballs while wide open.

Defense more like efense especially in the paint. My bigmen (C) forgets where his man is after I score a basket.

I had a few passes go straight to the defender, slow passing and lack of def awareness.

hey fellas, does anyone know if the fix for relentless finisher is in this patch? Or is it something they havent been able to fix yet?

Is it really so hard to finally fix the injury bug in MyGM? Really? Really? Wow what a disappointing Sunda.

I know everyone is still a bit high strung from the wait etc.but please take the time to get a good sample before dropping inpressions.

Guys had me scared for a minute there on shooting fouls I've played 4-5 PNO games and as a guy who has complained about fouls for months I'd strongly disagree that they havent changed for the better. This is a huge plus for me out of the gate.

The pass speed reduction helps a lot with dumb passes being punished, and a lot more are being intercepted. Feels like the defense got a shot in the arm overall but I want to get a few more games in.

OBD is less sticky and you do recieve more 'riding' animations but the CPU can still clip through it and stay infront of you which is really dissapointing.

Also, its odd 2k missed so many little house keeping things. To be the 'big patch' the notes seem a little light.

Shot feedback is still quick, you still cant pull up coaching options after initially dismissing it, meter still dissapears on second FT if you're using that option.

Went to see Troy Williams on the new 2K Roster. Really 2k? Really.... You couldn't spend 10 minutes at least creating a decent looking CAP for him?

Jesus.

CONTRACTS are still not updated for Zeller, etc.

I'm offline player mostly, but this year I played a lot of MYCareer waiting for patches.
What can I say, I played one SS playoff game with my PF. First time in the game I touched the ball they started to double team and they did that the whole game. This is incredible. Probably double teaming a best gameplay innovation for 2k and they don't want to touch it because it's shines for them.

Then I played as Spurs PlayNow 11 min. q. with rosters and sliders set to Superstar default.


Before patch players were glued to you and now you just can walk past them to the basket. Defence is not existent in this game. Overall there some positivities in this patch but the whole picture is wrong. Loot at FT numbers.
I'm thinking to go back to 2k16, better gameplay and better UI..

Disappointed to say the least, waited like 2 weeks on roster update just to have bunch of CAPs to play with. Sincerely better looking CAPs i could create myself, with each roster update in future they need to attach few hundred MBs of graphical updates

I agree. I wish people would play more games before giving these knee jerk reactions. I gave a quick impressions in the PNO thread, but it was late. I already knew that I would be too tired to notice the smaller changes.

People's opinions can be based off one game or 10 games.

People rate the game based off their experience. Not every game should play the same. I played one game then gave my gameplay experience.

Finally, Moving screens are fixed just played a park game and confirm this but cheesing and speed boosting is still there,more than ever sadly..

That's a small sample size tho.

You need a pattern before you declare something. Remember the saying "once is an occurrence, twice a coincidence, 3 times is a trend/pattern"

What ppl see the first time may very well be legit, but why not get confirmation?

On PS4, it says in my downloads that the patch was installed, but nothing was updated when I load the game. Did I miss a step?

I can handle the cheese, what I can't handle is being screened and cheesed. Thank you for confirming this, although I didn't get a single call after trying this on MC
