Can someone see if auto assignments are still reversed? For me the left to right assignments were reversed on the field

PLAY A CPU vs. CPU game, one punter or the other will line drive the punt every time and you will hear the announcer say, Looks like a low line drive punt looks like he just missed. IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME WITH OUT FAIL to the same punter. IT IS NOT A WIND ISSUE. IT IS A BUG, plain and simple. You can also play a POTM game but if the other team’s punter is PUNTING correctly, then let the CPU punt for you and you will experience it.

As I said, those of you that do your own punting may not experience it. And it does not always affect the other team’s punter, it could be yours. The only way to find out is to let the CPU do the punting. One of those punters is going to kick a line drive every single time. In a CPU vs. CPU game you have no choice and it happens every single time in every single game without fail. And that is a complete and total game killer for that style of play, I have tried at least 15 to 20 different partial games and it has happened in each one.

EA needs to address this and address it now. This is after the patch, before that is was 20 yd sky kicks. I’d rather have that. I deleted the new tuner and it didn't change anything, this bug is in the patch. I also deleted my profile and built a new one with a new franchise. Still the same results.
Do they even run a q/a test for offline vs CPU?
It's almost like CPU offline(CFM NOT Playnow) isn't even looked at
Does it play out right when your playing the CPU online/cloud?

What are guys seeing online vs CPU?

For now I guess it's super sim the CPU punts and maybe fgs too?

Also the qb fumbling issue has more to do with qbs carrying rating

Hi Guys, just joined only to ask if the update 1.05 corrupted any Custom Playbooks. I am seeing my entire playbook disappear both online and offline. I do not have a physical copy of Madden 17. Essentially, I am presented with a single formation in the playbook no makltter what I selected. This behaviour comes and goes among other things. By this I mean that I able to see all my plays then ghey disappear again. Very weird. My online game also just crashed. I am on ps4. Tomorrow I will post a video

Got my first freeze ever during a new cloud CFM in weekly game planning during the first week of preseason. This is off to a great start.

So I haven't had time to play yet with this patch but I am just about to start a game vs panthers to see if Cam will run at all or not. Also when it comes to the punting for what its worth I didn't have big issue with it before the patch like some people did. I think the shortest punt I had seen before this patch by the CPU was like 25 yards and that didn't happened much. So I will report back in a little on if I have seen any short punts or any thing by the CPU like some people are reporting after this patch.

Shading inside or outside, at least in M2M doesn't work, and it should per the Skills Trainer...I see no cover change, and when I attempt to shade inside or out, I just get the Run Fit diagram; thus indicating to me that the game isn't recognizing it..

If I shade under or over, things seem to work as they should.

So I just finished a game that I won 27-13 packers vs Panthers me being the packers and the CPU had 3 punts for a average of 47 yards with there short one being 28. Cam still didn't try to run with the ball. Really wish they could fix that. I had something odd happened during the game. The Panthers got called for false start like 10 times including on one drive where they got called for it like 7 times in the one drive when they where getting close to a TD. Did the patch break False starts? Other then that the only thing I really notice was that the animations look better on RB when they are trying to break a tackle or trying to at least keep moving forward.

Bcruise, I mean no disrespect, but to me, THIS IS A GAME KILLER. Please let me explain. Because of some health issues I can't do very well being a thumb jockey. My love for this game is being a COACH, building and developing my Team, creating a game plan and watching it all play out before my eyes.

I haven't been able to do this with any version of Madden since M12. I have waited four years to be able to play CPU,vs.CPU. and PLAY OF THE MOMENT was just a huge bonus. The ONE AND ONLY reason I purchased Madden 17 was because of this feature. A new game with all the updates.

My complete joy of this game is CPU vs CPU or POTM. Which allows me to get in every now and then and make a decision. Simming a punt completely takes the joy and excitement out of possibly watching a great return, or a fumble which is a huge part of FB. It totally defeats the purpose of my style of play. Plus the time it takes to exit, then go to POTM, then move to play game, then hit the options button, then sim one play and back to play till end. I spent 60 dollars on a product that said I could do these things.

First we had to deal with shanked punts and 20 yd sky punts and several other issues. Now it's this, the game has been out for a couple of months now; there is absolutely no excuse for it. We are 5 weeks into the NFL and because of these broken issues, I don't care if they put out a new vocal update every week. Make the game work first. I have not been able to even start a serious franchise. I realize that EA caters to h2h and online players. Not many people play as I do, BUT my money is just as good as theirs. I bought a product that is broken, any way you want to look at it. It does not function properly. And I am still waiting for it to be repaired. It's nice that there is a way to sim punts, But that don't work for me. I am tired of having to find work a rounds for issues with the game.

Once again, I mean no disrespect, I thank you for the advice, But 60 hard earned dollars gives me the right to rant. And I am pretty frustrated. I have spent hours and hours, just testing, fixing; now I would actually like to play the game the way it was intended or at least advertised. So I wonder, Will it be another month or two before they address this if at all..

Not at all re: the false starts. You're using something other than default sliders right? (because that never happens with false start at 50).

# 250 njmcfreak @ 10/05/16 04:25 AM
After playing some games I've noticed that there are some more fumbles, bit nothing that can't be changed with sliders it seems. Also the my run game is absolutely non existent, I love it. All runs seem to be blocked well and you need to pick your holes and use your sticks to your advantage. I've also noticed more defenders coming unblocked and just blowing up plays in the backfield. Don't know if I like that since it seems to happen a little too much. Drops are more often, but I can't complain about that when it's something that happens in real life and isn't a game killer. Another big thing for me is that they turned off the QB scrambling nerf or at least turned it down a lot. I'm not a 700 lb concrete shoes wearing monster trying to run out of the pocket now. I've also yet to see the CPU shank any punts so I'm gonna play a few more games see how much I actually do hate it and then come back and complain. Overall I am loving what I see though. 💆

Yes I am not at default sliders but I wasn't having that issue before the patch. I have yet to start a CFM because I am still trying to find the right sliders from me and with where I have the PS set at I am not seeing enough but if I go up 5 I was seeing to many but of course in CFM you can change each one by a point instead of just up or down 5.

After playing 5 more CPU vs CPU games jumping in with play of the moment. I now believe I have found the problem. As I stated earlier, It seemed to be switching teams. Now I realize what is happening. It is definitely a WIND problem. In the first quarter of a game between my Browns and Philly, My punter (CPU controlled ) punted a line drive every punt. Philly CPU punter punted high and great. Second quarter, CPU Philly punter punted all line drives. My punter punted high and deep.

So it is now obvious, Instead of correcting or fixing he wind, EA simply tried to adjust the Sky kick by lowering the trajectory. This is exactly why some players will see it, some wont. It's all about the WIND. This problem would simply go away if we could adjust the wind or turn it off. Instead of adjusting the trajectory forcing a low kick EA should and could have simply fixed the wind problem which has been an issue for years.

So until this issue is fixed, If you are playing CPU vs. CPU or POTM in a windy stadium. Your punter is going to punt line drives every other quarter, unless you punt yourself. The CPU team will do the same. So I guess to solve the issue you will have to human punt at least every other qt. As for the CPU, I guess sim punt every other QT..

Only played one game but the defense seems faster, holes close quickly for my running back and I got sacked a couple of times because blitzes worked against me, I have less time in the pocket. I actually felt under Preassure playing the game. They should just take wind out of the game at this point because they are not capable of understanding how it works. I would understand if this was madden 2 but we are on the 27th version and they still can't figure it out.

I got the single initial low line drive punt in my CPU v CPU game then the rest were normal or very long in a cfm pre-season game. I had the same late game false start situation. Tolzien with a 70% completion rate got the colts to the 20, then 6 false start penalties later they were back in their own territory with only 30 seconds going off the clock. One game only and I hope to play several tonight to see if this persists. If I get high completion rates from backup rand serial false starts I'll adjust some sliders.

A lot of fixes under the hood.
My QB fumbled 3 times in the 1st quarter last night. It happens

Still must be in the game, I'll be on the lookout for it.

Whenever I feel the controller start to rumble, I'm starting to avoid the pressure or throw the ball away more so than I have other Maddens. Plus, I'm keeping a more careful eye on the WR's vs other Maddens.

The one CFM game under all pro default I had was Packers 24 Lions 7.

Lions had 4 sacks, Packers had 2.

That is a small sample size, though.

But If you have digital copy like me you are bit f***d .... actually I have only installed rush uniform patch, last tuned deleted, I have don't see any twich game after patch, but following the discussion seems to me that this patch is simply horrible, don't like any of that what I read, a part of the QB tackling after an Interception, I haven't actually major issue with the game playing HUMAN VS HUMAN offline, I'am one of those stay without this patch.

Tackling looks overpowered, which is no surprise to me. In fact, I just watched a full game with not one broken tackle. I was specifically looking at that. The variety of tackling animations compared to pre-patch seemed greatly reduced. Additionally, in several instances, I noticed an odd occurrence not seen pre-patch where the animation for a defender bringing a ball carrier to the ground would quit mid-sequence and the defender would just fall off. The strange part is that, when it happened the ball carrier would just fall flat on his face.

Question? Are you guys seeing defense post patch? It could have been the games I chose to watch, but the scoring seems a little out of control. One guy, playing All-madden had almost 70 points between him and the CPU on 5 minute quarters.

So far, I haven't seen much of anything else that stands out.

Naive question but is backing up a CFM as simple as a file transfer to a flash drive to be re-loaded after the re-install of the game and patches?

In the game you watched was it played at an outdoor stadium? I do think the line drive and overpowered punts are a wind issue and haven't see punting issues pre- or post-patch in a dome or dome-like stadium. In my one game it was a liner on the first punt but fine after that, just some booming kicks in the opposite direction. Will need to see more games to decide what to do.

There was alot of open space in the secondary in the CPU v CPU game i had last night but I didn't get a ridiculously high score. It was pre-season so backups playing most of the game. Alot of WR comebacks with the QB scrambling to complete passes. High QB accuracy even from the two back up QBs. Again, N=1 so I need to see more games to get a better read on tweaking defensive sliders.

Thanks for any help you can provide on my first question.

# 260 Tonic @ 10/05/16 09:42 AM
This game is still missing three major components for me:

First, the CPU needs to update their draft needs during the draft. Since they don't currently do this, you will often see teams "overdrafing" at a position. For example, the Browns will sometimes draft a QB in the 1st and 2nd round. Late in the draft, I don't mind seeing teams draft players at a position they already drafted at if they are the best player available (or they were really weak at that position), but for the first 3-4 rounds the CPU should hardly ever draft a player from the same position.

Second, there needs to be in-game offensive line injuries. If they are just random events that have an extremely low percentage of occurring, that's fine. Offensive lineman get injured randomly in real life from people falling on their ankles/knees. It's really breaks immersion to be able to play a full 16-game season with the same 5 offensive lineman playing every snap.

Lastly, you should have the option to match your CBs to specific WRs. Many people have been asking for this for a long time. If you want your best CB to shadow the opposing team's best WR, you should be able to do that. Also, you might want to put a bigger, stronger CB on a bigger, stronger WR or a fast CB on a fast WR. This used to be an option in the game and I'm not sure why it was removed.

As much as I'd like to see these features, at least they aren't "game-breaking". Thanks to being able to edit all players in Franchise mode (thank god!), you can fix the first issue. You can completely change the second or third players drafted at that position to fill a need for that team, or better yet, "trade" that player with another team by just editing both of them. It's a bit labor intensive and I wish you wouldn't have to worry about it, but it's a decent workaround. For the second issue, you can "injure" players yourself by using a spreadsheet that's around here to randomly generate injuries and dropping that player off of your depth chart. Again, not realistic but not too hard to do. For the last issue, you can move your #1 CB to #2 on your depth chart so they usually line up with the #1 WR, but as far as I know that's the best you can do. I'd really like to match my corners on a game-by-game basis depending on who I'm facing.
