NBA 2K17 Features Improvements Across The Board, Here's 75 of Them

I had the chance to visit the studios at 2K this week and get an advance sneak peak of NBA 2K17. For full disclosure the trip was paid for entirely by the folks at 2K.

The first thing I want to tell you about NBA 2K17? It has nothing to do with the game itself directly, and everything to do with the people who work on this game year-round.

The wonderful folks at 2K Games, and specifically the team members I met in San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon -- Ronnie, Jeff Thompson, Erick Boenisch, Mike Wang, Ryan Peters, Chris, Czar, and many others -- are folks who are incredibly passsionate about their craft and the game they are producing. They were very welcoming and displayed a lot of that passion while describing what NBA 2K17 is bringing to consoles this year.

While I plan to dive a lot deeper into the topics I'll share below in the coming days, I wanted to at least get some of the nitty gritty out for folks to see and to begin discussing...

I was annoyed about not seeing any gameplay, but some of these additions are absolutely incredible.

Pre-order stays and it's not getting messed with. I want to try this stuff out for myself on Day 1.

Yo LD2K how is the editing for jumpshots like specifically if you can tell us for us that like to fix jumpshots on some players? & Can we rotate the player while editing his jumpshot & signatures this year?

That's always gunna happen though and I don't mind if they hit an impossible shot every now and then providing its not like 1 out of every 4.

Does make me laugh about people complaining about when people make crazy shots because I am sure they hit them as well but don't complain when they do

Yikes. Reminds me of the Cavs court in 2K11 before they fixed it with how off it was. That new Kyrie pic made it look like the lighting was fixed at least for The Q. Hopefully the same attention to detail is made for every arena.

Agree with this so hard, the wrong arena really put me off from playing the bucks last year

Strange how the alt arena was good though

Mike can you talk anything specific about audio like the Hawks organist? Dude plays hip hop beats on the organ like classics, new. He does all the typical chants on the organ but I think he is known more for mixing some new and old songs by playing on an organ.

Was it the sound that they emphasized or the actual crowd reaction logic? Because the latter was the bigger issue IMO.

Every year they keep RttP is a wasted year in MyTEAM; THERE IS NO FINITE END IN SPORTS.

I love how you can expand as well as CONTRACT teams. that was one aspect of 2k which i suggested they should implement in the wishlist, and this is monumental news for me concerning the immersion and ultimate customization. we can create historic leagues accurately with the additon of this feature...re-branding all the teams, etc.

I would really like to know if there are more customization options to the court creator, however.....if we could adjust the three point line...add more graphics and texts on the sideline/baseline...

that would do it for me.
