A lot of people who play NBA 2K don't regularly watch many actual games either so.. of course they'd think so. PG isn't a thick guy he's slightly more than slim. He doesn't have a LeBron Like physique like he has in this game.

Besides his face it doesn't look convincing.

You're right...Staples Looks the exact same.

Take me back to the 2k14 when they had the lighting right

Honestly, after really looking at it, if they took away the traps like they did for LBJ and KD, it'd be pretty accurate as the arms aren't really that big. The chest could be taken in slightly but I think the biggest thing is definitely the neck muscles as his shoulders are pretty squared.

That would help, but the real problem is that they don't have a body that fits him in game. No real slim athletic body type.

The Terrence Ross body type would work well I think. It has the squared shoulders and arm definition.

If that one still exists, I think it would look great on PG. From what I've seen however, everyone who had that body type now has the KD one, which would certianly not work on PG.

And by everyone I mean the 3 examples I've seen, Durant, Curry and Ian Clark

This is a trailer. So I judge it as a trailer.

But that trailer was AMAZING !!!

Ball season is so damn close I can taste it !

Is that the same 2001 Lakers Kobe player model as 2k16? Can someone do a side by side comparison to see? Would give some insight into whether or not they put any effort into the classic teams. Which at least judging by the Dream Team player models they did on Ewing, Pippen, Laetner, Robinson, and honestly Bird as well.

No, Frobe's been touched up as in 2k16 it was just the 2k14 old Kobe scan with an afro and chin patch stuck on it.

Not until I get confirmation about crowd reactions.

Shoot, we been on them about this issue since what...2K11? And it's still an issue?

Uniforms still look cheap and discolored. My only gripe

# 233 sva91 @ 08/22/16 04:53 PM
They took time to animate cheerleaders shooting shirt guns and commercial break timeouts, but the players are still wearing kilts. Smh. Some looks good. Not as impressed as i was hoping.

The trailer was good but it didn't really get me hyped at all. It's about a month too late. We know 2k can put together a good trailer; at this point I just wanna hear more about the different game modes.

I have nothing else to say.

I don't wanna complain

Liked the trailer but it fell a bit flat for me, didn't get me hyped like I think it was supposed to. Then again I'm going to be preordering anyway so I don't really need to be won over.

As I watch through again, although Im aware it's been beaten to death but for good reason, the body types are stressing me out lol.

It seems like everyone who is thin got the KD high school body type, and I'm sorry that's just wrong.

Bosh was skinny enough in 2k16, he looks horrendous in 2k17. Yes it works for Ingram, but that's about it.

Da_Czar can make fun of the community's response to the body type issue all he wants, fact of the matter is, I don't want to hear the words "body scan" anymore cause it's rather insulting at this point. There's still only a handful of body types that are just assigned to each player, and it looks like they maybe added 2 to the 7 they had in 2k16 (assuming they didnt remove any).

Because of that lack of variety, the gap between players that are too skinny and players that are too wide is obvious. And other than David Robinson's bicep (which still isn't enough for him) in the screen shot that greats us at the top of the page everytime we load up this forum in our browser, the body fat to muscle mass ratio is just jarringly inappropriate. Skinny guys are included in that.

Yes it looks good on some guys, Zach Randolph, Brandon Ingram, LeBron, and Draymond are lucky that 2k happens to have their body type (minus LeBron having fat legs). But again, with less than 10 choices for body types, there are obviously going to be these problems where maybe 25 guys look great, and most look off.

The fact that a players weight also has absolutely no effect on their body type, is sub-problem with this. Including when you change someone's weight from say 195 to 235, they stay exactly the same. Even Madden has the ability to change this (up to like 290lbs at least lol)
Preach G. No reason Reggie Jackson and Chris Bosh are built like Brandon Ingram, it doesn't even work for KD (and neither does that giraffe neck). Makes no sense that Lebrons muscle definition is accurately depicted but the same can't be said for Westbrook or Jimmy or PG. Why tf does Dwight still have that fade that he's NEVER had in real life? It's baffling that the art department can scoff at things so visually jarring in an otherwise beautiful game. When I see stuff that's as far off as some of the depictions of these players I literally cringe. Sure there are definite positives like Horford, Curry, and the continual love shown for D Rose lol. Ingram looks great, Simmons looks awesome. The presentation aspects continue to look better and better. My issue is just that when there are obvious flaws in things like player models, don't laugh it off because there was a bunch of hard work put into the product that's being put out. We all have to respect and appreciate 2k for being the best basketball simulation game out there, we're all grateful for the immense effort the devs put into the game each year but wrong is wrong and while there's plenty of good in the game, from what I've seen in these screenshots and the trailers, there's plenty that's wrong as well. I just want to see these issues taken seriously because continually overlooking them is deminishing the quality of the game IMO.

God those bodies are disgusting. Skin textures look like Live 14. Net still unrealistic. Lighting better but nowhere near 14.

2K's visual department has just kept taking more and more steps back since 2K14. Disappointing.
