EDIT: Whoa! Just found this link for a Conquest Q & A Thread!
http://www.operationsports.com/forum...er-thread.html

Me too. I have NO clue as to what the heck's going on! LOL

Gonna watch some Youtube videos and try and find a tutorial or something. I mean, there's a tutorial in game, but there's no WHY and it's just telling you what's happening. I'm baffled by it.

But it's fun, I really enjoy the little 3-inning vignette games. Looking forward to learning more.

Scrap Y2Y? Probably the worst idea I have ever seen suggested for The Show.

Listen up Show Nation.....it's being overblown, hyperboiled to the extreme. I am here to calm the masses. I am here to shed some light and dispel some things about Y2Y in the current state.

First and foremost the team is well aware of some of the minor quirks (or major to some and I respect that). But for the majority of The Show Nation who love this game dearly and just want to get going:

Here is my manifesto/impression on Y2Y saves for 16 in it's current state and the last time I will talk about it.

If your not overly ADD (and again I respect those that expect it to be fully functional out of the box but new features were introduced in Player Morale and Stat Tracking and I actually expected some hiccups with Y2Y on launch because of this) about a couple of things here is the deal:

1. The only morale bug is the player role is only Star or Ace/Closer but that will fix itself in your off-season and all roles will be available. It is only one factor in the other 7 or 8 things that make up the total morale Happy/unhappy grade for your player. I went through just about every team and players and I saw 99.5% players had no movement in their ratings because of it. So it is truly a non factor. And again once you finish the current season and press start off-season. All roles expectations become normal and based on the code the developers have in place for new franchises.

2. Career Stats - OK so all your previous season stats do carry over. The issue is some don't and a zero is there. For walks, Games Played, etc. it is an eye sore when your look at the player card.....it does not affect the game itself. It is cosmetic (and HOF can be affected I get it). So if your not worried about your player card looking clean for past seasons don't sweat it. It does have previous AB's, BA, R, RBI's, HR, SB. And if a patch addresses it, it will be fixed. If not....I am not sweating it as I play these year to year and the stat columns will fill accordingly going forward for future seasons. If your not ADD about it by all means start playing your carry over save.

3. Netherlands bug - less than 2% of my players have that bug out of 750 players in the Majors and all the minors leagues too. It will be addressed hopefully in a patch.....but it is so overstated as a potential game breaker. If it is with a key player edit him to the correct birthplace.

4. I fully expect inflated Budgets to be addressed on a patch like last season.

That's it. For me.....I have transferred all my franchise and classic season replay files.

I am all in on MLB 16......play ball everyone.

I can't get over the fielding cameras. All of them are so far back from the action. Gap shots to the wall are so hard to judge off the bat and the fielders look so small and far away.

Really keeps getting worse every year and this is almost hard for me to play with. No good option for a low to the ground and more zoomed in camera when fielding or after you hit the ball on offense.

And with some of the camera tilts it is very hard to field or judge the ball off of the bat. Ground balls deep in the hole to short are bad. The camera is positioned in the stands and kind of pans and tilts making it so hard to really read the play.

It's almost as if the ball could be a tad larger when in play. I'm sticking with medium cam for now.

I decided to give Conquest a try last night. I accidentally skipped the tutorial, so I don't really know how the mode works. I did play a couple games and it was pretty fun, once I learn more about it I'm sure I'll dive more into it. Ironically, one of the Conquest games I played was at Wrigley and it didn't seem to stutter or have a frame rate issue nearly as much as it has when I've played Play Now games there.

I'm really digging all of the new animations and even the new commentary that was added. I'm already addicted to this game and I really haven't explored too much into it. Going to be a fun year playing this game for sure.

Thanks to Armor and Sword's post, I'm going to do what I wanted to do and carry over my franchise save from last year. I thought about it but started fresh. Then I really thought about as I played ST of my new season but then I read about the issues and decided against it. But now, after reading his post, I am going home tonight and transferring it over! I loved my team from last year!

Carry over save is the greatest invention ever and I am going to use it!

Thank you again A&S, you just made what was already a great game in my opinion, even greater.

@ A& S, Thank you very much. You're 110% right. I started over last year & wanted to continue. I'm doing it. I am videoing my edits to the teams I've played and taking it from there.

So, I'm having an issue that's making the game virtually unplayable. In offline gameplay, I'm having a millisecond lag from when I press 'x' or '[]' to my swing while batting and my accuracy on meter pitching. It's just enough that everything I hit ends up late (or I miss completely). I was trying to play Giants-Padres the other evening and I struck out 19 times against Tyson Ross. And Bumgarner gave up 11 walks because I could not hit the zone.

I'm looking to you all for help.

-My other games are fine - no lag in FIFA16, GTA5
-I've deleted MLB and reinstalled twice.
-I've turned user timing and user contact all the way up to see if that helps, but I still get the lag

I've Googled the issue to no avail, so I'm turning to you.

Help me! I need my MLB!
I'm no expert but I'll try to help.

Your TV may be the culprit. My TV (Vizio) has a Picture Mode for gaming. If I remember correctly, it is specifically for this issue. You might want to start with that - your picture settings.

I could be out in left field with what I'm saying but I don't think I am. Like I said, I'm no expert.

Hope this helps and if not, I hope someone else can get you fixed up.

Gameplay is outstanding this year. They fixed my grips with gameplay. Especially stealing bases. Although graphically the game is really hit and miss. I love the electrical fence around the stands at Dodgers Stadium, really gonna keep those crowds in check....

Edit: Also really disappointed with the stats on thr player card. Apparently the couldn't add more stats to the card? Seriously another year of them keeping tons of stats, yet not showing us them? I wasnt even looking forward to more stat tracking. Just displaying the year to year totals for stats like ba vs lhp and rhp. Just its not a priority for them i guess.

My mistake on Camden yards. Looking at the stadiumtoday in RL, they got the layout right. just the skyline, the color of the roof and the bridgebetween the warehouse and the stadium needs to be included.

I certainly appreciate the response.

I gave it a shot. I'm currently using an Insignia until I get my Visio back (it's sitting on a moving truck) and made sure it was in game mode. While it seems to make the game move a little smoother (reduced some flickering), it doesn't seem to have made much of a difference with the timing. I'm even late on pitches in Home Run Derby.

Maybe this issue is all for naught and things will drastically improve when I get my stuff back, but in the meantime it's certainly frustrating; especially since everything else plays normally. I popped in FIFA earlier and all my passing, shooting, and penalty shots are spot on.

Maybe I'm just getting too old.

Again, appreciate the help. Thank you.

I had the same issue when I first started playing and I also have a Vizio television and once I changed my picture to game mode, it was significantly better. It was a slightly darker screen but the timing improved a great deal.

Something is off with the graphics. It doesn't look sharp, the colours don't pop, some fonds appear really blocky, like the good old Commodore 64 days. I don't know, but something is really off. The grass looks super flat, the graphic with the baserunners is way too big. I can't say it is a step better then MLB 15, infact, I think it is a step back graphics wise.

Animations are cool, gameplay as well, but it lacks compared to graphics like NBA2K16. It almost is cartoonish.

Very difficult to compare the two when every NBA court is essentially the same and every MLB ballpark is different. Also factor in day/night, seasons, open and closed roofs, minor league and classic stadiums, there's a lot that NBA2K doesn't have to deal with.

Almost seems like a film or haze over the graphics.

I think the colors not popping is mostly a product of the game being overbuilt in certain eras, in relation to how powerful the system is. The grass in particular looks washed out and dull because if they made it look rich and lush the game would probably be completely unstable. That's my guess anyway.

You may want to try this simple fix, it worked to solve the lag problem for me after everything else failed.

- Start a normal game
- Turn TV off, wait 5-10 seconds and then turn TV back on
- Try pitching meter to test lag

I almost returned my TV (LG LED 55 inch) because of the lag in The Show. After searching Google, I set my TV input to Game mode but that didn't work. Next, I changed the input label to PC, as some had suggested, but that didn't work either. By accident, I discovered that if I turn my TV on and off while the game was running, the lag was eliminated. I'm assuming that it's something with the TV correctly interfacing with input settings, almost like a PC reboot.

The lag made any game with a meter (The Show- pitching/hitting, Madden- FGs, NBA2K- shooting) unplayable but this simple fix worked for me. Hope this helps.
