I love turning off as much on screen stuff as possible and going full broadcast everything. The little details are awesome
Oh yeah this years version is a step forward in my opinion! There's some minor issues. I think a update would fix them. Go White Sox!

I just wasn't expecting that type of start right out of the gate..

Are we sure they didn't fix the schedule issue? My RttS player is playing different NL teams that haven't been on the schedule before.

Battle Royale is the absolute shintz!!!!!!!
My goodness what an addicting, intense mode. I am in love with it.

One thing I did check right away that I'm a little disappointed in was we still have to use the RTTS cam when we player lock.
Assuming it was just too hard to get in for this years game, to be able to use a different cam.

I've given up expecting much that annoys me to be fixed, so I'm going to try and avoid any negativity.
Good things I noticed that I like:
-The Cubs weird, melty faced roster is fixed. Last years face scans were TERRIBLE and really ruined that game for me. The only guy still suffering seems to be Kyle Hendricks, who has some weird triple chin thing going on when he's a thin guy in real life. And Justin Grimm's hat is still way to high on his head. But other guys who looked like garbage last year are fixed this year (Soler, Baez, Arrieta, etc.)
-I love that when editing someone, it finally shows their actual team uniform. Really helps when figuring out which color is which for gear.
-I like how you can see a photo of the guy in full uniform just scrolling through the rosters.
-Scoreboards/Video screens at Wrigley, woooooo!
-Outfielders seem to be less floaty, and weird acting. I can't count how many errors I had because my OFs would just randomly stop and not go for a ball after I moved them.

This might have been answered and this might not be the thread to ask this, but can you manually injury players in franchise mode? If so, how?

Gameplay options......advanced......injuries to manual.
Make sure the profile associated with your team is the one loaded when editing it...AND then go to the lower right hand box on the main screen(USER SETTINGS) and hit USE AS DEFAULT.

I'll try to do a longer impression later, but one quick thing I just noticed is that trade delay still exists when I brought over my '15 30-team franchise. I'm wondering if the option is still there but was just hidden. Hopefully that means it can be brought back.
Also - when simming other games on a day, it doesn't send you back to the first game after each sim. Thank you!

But I hope they re-add it in.
That's a great and important feature IMO....plus....no GM immediately accepts a trade(unless it's ridiculously in their favor)

Positive... visually, the game is stunning. The players look fantastic! I also like the addition of the prime player's cards.
Negative... After a solid year last year with carry-over saves, roster makers and hardcore baseball fans got the shaft this year. The coaching section is laughable. Where's the bench, bullpen, and assistant hitting coaches? Minors league coaches? Real free agent coaches? Coaches that have been around for years still aren't included. Let us edit them? Disappointed with lack of non-roster invitees, international free agents, and inabilitiy to edit contract terms by year. The stat tracking is improved, but the stats don't carry over from past years, so the advantage of importing players from 14/15 that weren't in the league the previous year is lost. Why can't we edit stats?
The new modes seem directed at casual fans and I would have much preferred that effort be invested in fixing franchise and season modes.

Overall I'm liking the game as I do every year.. but after playing for a few days now, I am noticing some things that I hope get addressed.
The 'Urgency' on fielding plays is missing again.. Many times, the pitcher, fielder, catcher, will lollygag out on a slow roller and then we have to wait for the long animation while the runner arrives at 1B safely. I remember this being an issue in '14 but something they fixed in '15, but now it's back in '16
Slide-Step pithcing. While holding down the R2 button, the pitcher doesn't do a slides-step anymore - he just goes through his normal delivery. Hmm I guess I'll post this issue in the Bugs thread at theshownation.com
Anyhoots, Great Game as usual!!!

The menu's throughout the entire game are VERY hard to read.
I have 20/20 vision, same tv as last year, had MLB for many years....
The menu for anything you go into, lineup, manage roster, game play option, only takes up ehhhh maybe 40% of the screen.
The font on all these is way too tiny.
Trying to read the player ratings inside the little bubble in manage lineups might cause a blood vessel to blow in my eye.
Very dissapointed in this.
Outside of that, the game continues to be a 10 out of 10 every year.
