Hi guys and gals, I just wanted to ask a couple of questions before I go ahead and treat myself to a PS4.
For those that have played the PS3 and PS4 versions, is there much of a difference in gameplay?
Also, can custom tactics be assigned to each team and if so, do they actually work to make teams play differently and more realistically?
The reason I ask that is because on the PS3 version it does not work. For example if I change Tottenham's custom tactic and then go to change Arsenal's custom tactic, for some reason Arsenal's one becomes Tottenham's. If I then change Arsenal's one and then look at Tottenham's, their one then says Arsenal. Hope that makes sense.
I really want to make sure that my money is well spent, I only play footy games so just want to make sure it is worth upgrading or should I just wait until FIFA17 and PES2017 come out?

With that said, this is still my favorite soccer game and I'll be playing it until 17 comes out.
The PC version looks way better, if that would be an option for you.

To me tactics make a difference. It is not as huge as I would like but it does alter play. And you can set many teams with different tactics and it stays.
Still love this game but can honestly say the women's part just is more fun. I really really wish you could make custom tourneys with them so you could play the other eleven twice then have a tourney. At least add some depth since these teams play so great. They are just more fun and to me more realistic sim than the men's sides.

I know it's not popular in any conventional sense, but I'd love it if they added the NWSL next year. Even if you could only play one season I'd be happy.

I have my fingers crossed that since they have the licensing for the BPL that they add the Women's BPL in 17. Pretty long shot but maybe possible. As many English sides have a Women's squad. Even if not the top teir of the Women's English league they could add all the Women's teams who the men's side is already in the game with stadium. Examples: Arsenol, Man U, and Chelsea. Just give us maybe twenty of them for a league.
Either way, I hope and think something as it would be silly if they just created all the women stuff and never grow it. Honestly, I would buy a Women's FIFA. It just plays so well...
Would really like if my daughters could create female players that they could use in the international tournaments and in career mode.

Finally was able to buy this game, and while I know nothing about soccer, heck Ive only watch 1 full soccer match my entire life and that was the US ****** National team win the WC, have to say this game is fun an addicting. Once I get a little more comfortable with it Im looking forward to starting a career as a manager, because unlike with baseball, basketball and football I have no pre conceived notion of how teams or players should play, and wont be OCD about keeping players on the same team as IRL. Thats always been a issue for me with the 3 main sports is Im so OCD that I have to follow everything to a T as to what goes on IRL. I do wish I knew more about soccer as far as schemes go, and the such, but Ill figure it out eventually. Just hard to watch soccer because it seems the MLS is being played when basketball and baseball is on so not much room for me to watch soccer really, as I wont not watch those sports to watch soccer ever I can tell you that, but I do have a little more appreciation for soccer now than I use to, as I use to think, well I can say what I use to think or I would get banned from here more than likely,lol, but I can say I was definitely wrong, and it takes quite a bit of skill to play the game, an its definitely more physical than I ever thought it was, and why I use to have a different empration of men who played the sport.
Fifa Improvements comment what u think
I love Fifa and what Fifa has been doing to improve the game. I just have a some improvement ideas that I think would improve your game
Starting off
1. Goalkeepers
Goalkeepers should not automatically run out for every single ball whether it may be a cross or a through ball. Instead make it more manual and up to the the user to control when or when not to pull the keep.
If a goalie can prevent a corner the goalie should prevent it
2. Penalties
In Fifa 16 if you have possession and an opposing player runs into and you lose possession or fall down this should be a penalty. For some reason the moment you're outside the box it is a foul but the moment you step in the box it's not.
Also I don't know how many times a player could have an easy penalty when an opposing player comes in for a risky tackle but instead of the player in possession just taking the hit and getting the pk/foul they want to jump over the tackler or avoid it, which typically ends up in a loss of possession.
3. Passing
In Fifa 16 passing was made more difficult or defense was made better either way key through balls should be possible. In Fifa 16 there are so many moments where an key simple through ball is needed to get on goal but for some reason when you make the pass it's rather the player will kick it close enough to the defender where he can step in or just pass it just far enough to the point where the keep can run and get to the ball before your striker. This is very frustrating because there seems to be nothing the offensive player can do to fix this.
Another thing is who the ball gets passed to in simple situations. For instance when a teammate is offside behind
Two teammates, when I pass the ball in that area I PROMISE YOU, I am not passing to the offsides player please don't go to the offsides player.
4. Switching players
Fifa I'm sorry but this is one of the worst things about the game I have no idea what the hell the guy who job is was to put it in the game but it's is horrific. I don't know how many times I have wanted to switch to a player In front of the ball to steal or get a ball not in possession but when I switch players it switches me to someone behind the player or way behind the ball. I beg please fix this.
These next ones are on a petty note but I still think these little changes can have a heavy impact on the game.
5. Players IQ
If a ball is going out of bond and it is out on the other team please DONT TOUCH THE BALL let it go out of bounds.
If a keeper is running to get a ball defenders should realize that and let the keeper run instead of trying to beat the keeper to it and having a stupid own goal.
6. Celebrating
If a player gives a great ball to a teammate who then finishes there should be some sort of way of the player who scored be able to acknowledging the player who passed it and have some boost in chemistry.
Celebrating by running to the fans should be a celebration that increase the cheering throughout the game and creating a better player and fan bond.
Taking off you shirt should be a celebration for some stars after a 85-90 min goal or 115-120 min goal (hint Ronaldo)
That common jump punch celebration should be in the game.
Lastly all the players in the reserves should also be on the bench wearing heavier or different things of course but if a late goal is scored and all the players in the field run to the scorer also should the subs and reserves run and also running towards the subs and reserves at the bench should be a celebration even if the coach isn't official.
7. Flopping
It should be in the game somehow not over powered but after a hard bump or jersey tug.
Im a big seasons (not fut but regular) fan I love it about the game so here are a few petty improvement ideas

If goals and assists could be recorded throughout a 10 game season so commentators can bring it up or that player gets a little boost in attributes after playing well
If red cards and yellow cards could be recorded through the 10 game seasons meaning suspension and stuff same with injuries. So that a new tactical level could be added.
More international teams like Japan Croatia Ghana Nigeria and for all international teams to have there really jerseys with logos and everything just like the Fifa World Cup games 2010 and 14.
9. Season tournaments (not fut)
If all the last things also brought into the tourneys kinda how it was in FIFA 2014 World Cup.
Also if more real tournaments could be added to the game like a champion league (don't know how legs would work but you could work something out) and euro league and a euro or a World Cup just the elimination stages but that would be nice and some of the other big country cups and in all of this I'm assuming you understand that you could only pick teams that would fit those tourneys.
Players who always where long sleeves should have long sleeves in seasons like Ronaldo and have the ability to push up there sleeves and have a kinda 3/4 sleeve thing.
10. Stadiums
If a player starts playing fans should star booing and hissing.
When goals are scored stadiums should play the goal music like for Real Madrid and Bayern Munich
When a skill is done in a key area and is leading to a goal oppertunity fans should makes noises in awe and get loud and hype
Players getting more mad at other players or cheering on other players should be seen more.
Thats all I have Fifa is an amazing game and I plan on and will continue to keep supporting it and buying it. If there is anyone for an ea person to actually tell me if anything was beneficial or where I should go to add more suggestions it would be much appreciated

I'm still experiencing the same problems with FIFA as the last 4-5 years. I start the game and it's well balanced until I score. At that point the CPU becomes more aggressive and unless I change tactics to become more aggressive as well then I start misplacing passes, more specifically under-hitting them so that they can be picked off by the opposition. I'm not doing anything differently, but it seems like the game is programmed to make my players react to the opposition tactics in an unrealistic manner. Inevitably I give away a goal as a result. It seems that the only way to compete is to use high pressure tactics and eventually every game turns into a battle between two sides using high pressure tactics. It's crying out for a much more realistic approach, one that means teams can use different tactics and still be successful.

Can anyone explain to me why the alternate banner for Portuguese fans is a flag that is almsot identical to the Spain flag? lol Good game, not a deal breaker but man thats really annoying. At first glance I thought they added Spain flags during Portugal matches. It was against Argentina that I noticed this
